Alan Khazei is not a politician - he is a movement leader who co-founded City Year and led the national service movement to launch, protect and grow AmeriCorps. Alan is ready on Day One to lead the effort in Congress to protect our environment, ensure affordable healthcare for all, stop gun violence, address racial injustice and restore the American Dream for working families.

Alan’s Plan for Swansea was built by listening to the people of Swansea. In Congress, Alan will: Support fundamental clean water laws and work to pass a comprehensive infrastructure bill that secures funding to address water infrastructure such as the aging pipes and water mains leading to poor water quality in Swansea. Help restore education funding by passing the Heroes Act in Congress to secure $5,498,166 in funding for Swansea. Support small businesses by proposing a small business hiring credit and accelerated depreciation of capital investment for small businesses that hire new workers. Focus on extending the “Boston Miracle” to Swansea and surrounding cities and towns, securing federal funding as part of a larger strategic plan for these communities.
