Alan Khazei is not a politician - he is a movement leader who co-founded City Year and led the national service movement to launch, protect and grow AmeriCorps. Alan is ready on Day One to lead the effort in Congress to protect our environment, ensure affordable healthcare for all, stop gun violence, address racial injustice and restore the American Dream for working families.

Alan’s Plan for Somerset was built by listening to the people of Somerset. In Congress, Alan will: Support Brayton Point’s $400 Million partnership with Anbaric to create a clean energy wind turbine facility right here in Somerset, bringing jobs and revenue for the waterfront. Pass a comprehensive infrastructure bill that secures major funding to rebuild roads and transit and repair crumbling infrastructure including water mains. Focus on extending the “Boston Miracle” to formerly industrial communities in the 4th District, securing federal funding as part of a larger strategic plan for these communities and accelerating South Coast Rail and improvements to the Commuter rail. Help restore Somerset’s strained education budget by passing the Heroes Act in Congress to secure $5,983,967 in funding for Somerset.
