The casino draws visitors to Plainville and has increased job opportunities.

Plainville faces teacher layoffs due to decreased tax revenue as a result of COVID-19. » Budget Deficit. In Congress, Alan will: Address the spike in unemployment through a Federal Jobs Guarantee including expanding AmeriCorps and providing Emergency Wage Support to save small businesses and keep people on the payroll. Address teacher layoffs by passing the Heroes Act in Congress to secure $3,037,897 in funding for Plainville, enough to restore lost positions. Push to invest more in our bus systems to reduce last and first mile traffic by expanding routes and making bus cycles more frequent. Create a Plainville Congressional Advisory Board to stay connected to local issues in Plainville and ensure stakeholder voices are heard in Washington.
