North Attleborough’s North Attleborough’s Assets and Initiatives Challenges
Alan’s Plan for North Attleborough was built by listening to the people of North Attleborough. In Congress, Alan will:
» The Commission on Disabilities works in collaboration with other organizations to “foster dignity and self-determination for residents with disabilities in North Attleborough.”
» School Funding and Improvement. The school budget is under enormous stress due to falling tax revenues during the pandemic, limiting needed improvements in technology and buildings.
» Cultural Council. North Attleborough’s Cultural Council pursues its mission through a wide range of grants, initiatives, and advocacy for artists, organizations, and schools.
» Infrastructure Repair and Modernization. Potholes and continuous water main breaks have caused residents to call for long overdue repairs and modernization.
Help restore education funding by passing the Heroes Act in Congress to secure $9,659,724 in funding for North Attleborough.
» Support for Local Businesses. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, North Attleborough helped all of its small businesses ensure worker safety.
» R ent Control in Mobile-Home Communities. Many residents of mobile homes are facing rent increases and a decrease in the overall quality of living in their homes.
» Respectful Culture Initiative. The North Attleborough School District launched an initiative to mitigate bullying and enact prevention measures.
» Unemployment Caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic. Unemployment in North Attleborough increased from 3.0% in June 2019 to 17.6% in June 2020.
Work to pass a comprehensive infrastructure bill that secures major funding for MA-04 to rebuild roads and transit, retrofit homes for efficiency, and repair crumbling infrastructure.
