Alan Khazei is not a politician - he is a movement leader who co-founded City Year and led the national service movement to launch, protect and grow AmeriCorps. Alan is ready on Day One to lead the effort in Congress to protect our environment, ensure affordable healthcare for all, stop gun violence, address racial injustice and restore the American Dream for working families.

Alan’s Plan for Dover was built by listening to the people of Dover. In Congress, Alan will: Address teacher layoffs and retirements by passing the Heroes Act in Congress to secure $2,008,040 in funding for Dover, enough to restore lost positions. Support fundamental clean water laws, including the Clean Water Act, and work to secure federal funding for water system infrastructure upgrades for towns like Dover.

Explore new housing options for the elderly wishing to stay in their communities by giving grants to select local housing authorities to test new approaches. Create a Dover Congressional Advisory Board to stay connected to local issues in Dover and ensure stakeholder voices are heard in Washington.
