KEY CLUB WEEK Key Club Week gives each member the opportunity to show his or her community what Key Club is truly about: service. Each day places an emphasis on service to promote and depict the core values of Key Club International, leadership, charter building, caring and inclusiveness.

Key Club is not only a student-led organization or a family, but it provides purpose for every member of this organization. It make us useful to our homes, schools and communities and is the embodiement of Key Club Jamaica District.

Key Club Week should showcase our true Key Club Spirit, and that is our cheers of joy more commonly known as our vybz.

It is the time where every members service to one another and others is amplified. Most Importantly, it is the time to show that Key Club is here. Key Club is in Jamaica and will continue to strive towards what is best for each individual and our nation.

MASS MEETING 01.11.19 This year's mass meeting was the largest event of the year. We had 1500 Key Club Members present from 54 schools across the island.

Mass Meeting is the prefect opportunity to purchase merchandise and voice any concerns.

"WE DIDN'T REALIZE WE WERE MAKING MEMORIES, WE JUST KNEW WE WERE HAVING FUN" Typically, new initiatives are revealed at Mass Meeting.

Some of the upcoming events for the District that were mentioned at the 2019 Mass Meeting were the Victoria Mutual Financial Literacy Campaign, Blood Drive and District Convention

CHURCH SERVICE 04.11.19

A family is a gift that last forever!

Customarily, Key Club Jamaica hosts a District Church Service on the Sunday of Key Club Week, where members gather to religiously and officially begin Key Club Week.

This year, like previous years, we kickstarted the week with our District Church Service at the Most Holy Trinity on Sunday, November 3, 2019. This event is the exemplary display of a true resilient family, Key Club Jamaica.

It is the place of belonging for everyone despite his/her belief.

"True religion is living; living with all one's soul, with all goodness and righteousness " After the service, everyone joined in our Road March around the surrounding community. It was a loud and joyous moment. Key Club Members danced and shouted to the sound of the drums. Each Lieutenant Governor rallied his/her division to the infamous Clash of Division, before light refreshment were served to each member in attendance.

A Sunday well spent.

Caring requires bravery and generosity, because it involves a lot of effort.

In every task, Key Club members provide their full effort and attention.

EXCHANGE & EXPERIENCE Happiness is found in helping others.

And so we learn early: It is better to give than to receive The gift of time is often more valuable than any other material artifacts.

We all have time on our hands, and can give some of this time to help otherswhether that means we devote our lives to service, or just give a few hours each day or a few days a year.

Our passion should be the foundation for our giving. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving. |12

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS

BY GOVERNOR THASLEEMA A random act of kindness is a non-premeditated, inconsistent action designed to offer kindness towards the outside world.

It does not take too much effort to be kind.

Moreover, it does not cost so much to extend kindness to others.

It’s never too late to say “thanks.” I sent a gift 3 years after someone had helped me, and she told me it made her feel awesome. Even though she was aware that I was grateful and told her on many occasion, I had never expressed it with a physical gift or a card. I’m glad I got over my embarrassment at how much time had passed and finally sent it.

Doing random acts of kindness is an awesome antidote to negative experiences. It can lift your mood and leave you feeling inspired. In addition, an act of kindness can make someone’s day.
