CAUCUSING: Day Three got off to an early start at 8:30 am in the Georgetown East room with the Jamaica, New England and Bermuda, and Bahamas District sharing the room.

RECOGNITION AND KEY NOTE SESSION: A number of clubs across Jamaica also were awarded Diamond Level Distinguished Clubs. We also saw a number of Kiwanian Advisors and Faculty Advisors beingrecognizedduringthissession.

HOW TO FAKE IT TIL YOU MAKE IT: Creating and setting goals are a part of the process and Inareessentialtoreachingyourdreams.thisworkshopledbyInternational Trustee, Aliya Ali, we learnt about how we can "shoot for the moon" and be able to set attainable goals and create vision boards that leadtooursuccess.

CELEBRATING LEADERSHIP LUNCHEON: This session got underway at 11:30 AM where we heard from current NASA Administrator Bill Nelson (virtually), who served as a member of the US Senate and House of Representatives, as well as Key Club International Presidentfrom1959-60.

STEPS TO BUILDING A GREAT COLLEGE LIST: In this workshop, we heard from Chief Academic Officer from Collegewise, Arun Ponnusamy. We discussed the importance of having a balanced list with reach, target and likely schools is important for a successful application process. We also got advice on what to look for when choosing the right college for you.

Key Club was started by Albert C. Olney & Frank C. Vincent on May 7, 1925 at Sacramento High School which still exists as a Key Club today. They approached a neighboring Kiwanis club to help charter a similar club for service at their high school. The club was comprised of the key boys in the school, willing to serve the school in any way possible and to create better school spirit – hence the name Key Club. In 1943, Key Club reached international statusandMalcolmLewisbecamethe1stpresident.

International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) is one of the world's largest annual preservation and Jamaicaprotectioneventsandvolunteereffortsforourocean,wavesandbeaches.EnvironmentTrust(JET)arethehostsandnationalcoordinatorsof ICC Day here in Jamaica, they are supported by the Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF) and Ocean TheConservancy.KeyClub

Jamaica District has registered to be a Site Coordinator for this years ICC Day. In the next issue and through Lieutenant Governors (LTGs), clubs and Key Clubbers willfindoutabouttheregistrationprocesswiththeDistrict.
