As we reflect on this past year, I am filled with immense gratitude for your partnership and steadfast support of our Justin-Siena mission. The pages of this Impact Report tell a story filled with faithfulness, generosity, and a shared commitment to shaping the evolving lives of our students.

As we advance our Vision 2030 Strategic Plan, we continue to build on the strong foundation of our Lasallian heritage while boldly shaping the framework for our school’s future. This year, we have accomplished meaningful progress— collaborating closely with faculty, staff, students, and community members. We look forward to additional sharing as we approach the plan’s rollout this fall.

Through strategic financial management, we have succeeded in maintaining stable tuition while expanding access to a college-preparatory education for a growing number of families seeking support. In fact, nearly half of our students received need-based financial assistance—clear testimony to our definitive commitment to accessibility.

Our efforts reflect the very core of our Lasallian mission: to touch the hearts of young people, especially those most in need; and to form and guide them as servant leaders who will go on to transform the world. By offering a rigorous education rooted in Gospel values and compassion, we are preparing students for college, and we are preparing them for life.

The momentum is real, and the direction is clear. Thanks to your belief in our work, Justin-Siena is growing stronger, more inclusive, and more mission-driven than ever before. I invite you to behold the difference you have made in the lives of our students and families in the stories set forth throughout this report.

With deep gratitude and pride,

WHERE WE’RE HEADED IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS

Parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and students had a voice in the creation of the Vision 2030 Strategic Plan, which started initial planning in Spring 2024. Student input in particular, resulted in thoughtful reflections on the school as it exists now, and what it may become in the future. Their insightful comments are featured throughout this report.

“Seeing how deeply our faculty and staff care about students and their academic success positively deepened my understanding of Justin-Siena’s mission.”

ALLOCATING OUR BUDGET

Justin-Siena’s commitment to a balanced budget ensured continuation of high-quality instruction, maintained campus operations, and supported student life. It enabled us to uphold our educational standards, remain accessible to families, and invest in long-term sustainability while operating within our means.

“I’ve learned that our community is vibrant and dynamic. From my limited perspective, I hadn’t fully seen what happens behind the scenes—but through this experience, I’ve come to understand how our community continually grows and adapts. I now see how we respond to both challenges and change in an ever-evolving world.”

TIME WELL SPENT

Trent Stoppello ’91 is a standout parent volunteer and a dedicated member of the Justin-Siena Parents Association. Known for his generosity of time and unwavering commitment, Trent has made a meaningful impact on the school community through his leadership, enthusiasm, and consistent presence. His involvement exemplifies the spirit of service that strengthens the Justin-Siena experience for students and families alike.

Time is a valuable commodity–as business people, as parents, and members of our community. Why do you prioritize JustinSiena when considering time investment and what has been your experience when you help?

“Time is an investment. You get out what you put in! Dedicating time to the overall betterment of our youth is a wise investment and a good use of time, in my opinion. I firmly believe that it takes a village to raise these kids. I know that was the case for me when I was a kid. Whether it is leadership, coaching, community involvement, or random acts of kindness, I have always been actively involved. It’s good for the heart and soul.”

Knowing that Taylor will soon be leaving the halls of JustinSiena, reflect on your child’s time here and how you, as parents, experienced your tenure; and do you plan to stay involved after she graduates?

“Watching Taylor thrive, struggle, and ultimately grow over the last four years has been a beautiful experience. She has been able to blossom into the amazing individual she is today because of the environment that Justin-Siena has created. She is ready for the next level and I can’t wait to see what life has to offer her in the future.

Being an alumnus, I will always be connected to JustinSiena in whatever capacity they need me.”

Are there specific times you got involved and were proud of the result(s)? What are your personal observations and takeaways when people come together to help?

“I think that the Justin-Siena Parent Association is doing some pretty amazing things like scholarships, grants, and events that we are pretty proud of! As for coming together, it is way more fun doing things as a group. It makes the heavy lift easy and we build community doing it.”

As an alum, what makes you most proud as you have a front row seat to the school’s evolution?

“I am a believer in the brand. Justin-Siena creates a product for success; it is not just one size fits all.

There is always room for improvement, but as long as we stay nimble and willing to adapt, the evolution to greatness will continue.”

What would you want people to know about Justin-Siena?

“ Don’t try to box Justin-Siena into stereotypes or match what others may have heard. Go see for yourself! You might learn that there are some pretty amazing people, doing some pretty amazing things, for our youth and our community.”

“I am a believer in the brand. Justin-Siena creates a product for success; it is not just one size fits all.”

Signature fundraising events bring our community together in celebration, and directly support transformative student experiences. The funds raised help make possible immersive service trips such as the Venaver experiences in Montana, Arizona, and Chicago, where students live out our Lasallian values through handson service and cultural engagement. These events also generate essential support for special programs including sports tournaments, robotics, and other cocurricular activities that may fall outside of traditional funding. By investing in these opportunities, we empower students to grow as leaders, deepen their faith, and make a meaningful impact in the world—hallmarks of a Justin-Siena education.

EXPANDING THE OUTREACH

At Justin-Siena, our commitment to accessibility and inclusion is deeply rooted in our Lasallian mission to provide a transformative, college-preparatory education to all students, regardless of financial circumstances. Through the incredible generosity of our community and the success of key fundraising events, including KA-IN Napa Valley, TASTE of Justin-Siena, and our ACCESS 707 Wine Auction and sales, we raised $141,769 for access and inclusion including our scholarship programs, Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship Program and Lasallian Educational Access Program.

By removing financial barriers and opening doors to rigorous academics, faithbased community, and leadership development, these programs directly impact students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend Justin-Siena. Each event celebrates our vibrant community while reinforcing our promise to make a Justin-Siena education accessible to students from diverse backgrounds.

“Successful

planning hinges on participation. You need community voices, clearly defined roles, and an internal leader who can steward the process from the inside.”

GUIDING THE STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS

At the heart of Justin-Siena’s ambitious strategic planning initiative stands a seasoned guide known as the “strategic navigator” in Carol Enright of Enright & Associates. While strategic planning is inherently future-focused, this leader brings a perspective rooted in both deep experience and thoughtful process.

“My role is to organize a framework that helps the community create a plan that’s relevant, realistic, and executable,” Carol explains. “Strategic plans should never sit on a shelf. They should be dynamic— integrated into the fabric of daily operations.”

This philosophy drives her work with Justin-Siena, where the school’s evolving vision is being shaped through conversations, collaboration, and careful planning. What drew her to this work? “I like helping to change things for the better—whether I’m working with an individual, a team, or an organization,” she says simply. That desire to effect meaningful change has carried her through a career that includes work with Catholic schools across the region, including a particularly formative experience with the Diocese of Oakland. “That was a very complex strategic planning process, and it launched me into other projects with Catholic institutions. I’ve been fortunate to do this work ever since.”

Preparing for a comprehensive, multi-year effort like Justin-Siena’s begins with understanding the organization’s past. “You have to review what’s been done before—what’s worked and what hasn’t. It’s also essential to clarify the desired magnitude of change. Is the school seeking transformation, or is it more about fine-tuning what’s already strong?”

She also emphasizes the importance of having the right people at the table. “Successful planning hinges on participation. You need community voices, clearly defined roles, and an internal leader who can steward the process from the inside.”

While not one to lean heavily on technology—“simple spreadsheets work just fine for me,” she admits—she is deeply attuned to the

human side of planning. Her leadership philosophy is grounded in transparency and inclusivity. “Everyone should have a voice. It’s not just about planning at the top and pushing it down—it’s about participation at every level.”

Resistance, she says, is a natural part of change. The key is to listen. “It’s important to ask, ’Why is there resistance?’ Is it discomfort, or is it a legitimate concern that needs to be addressed? Sometimes just explaining the ’why’ behind a decision can make all the difference.”

Despite the challenges of leading long-term initiatives, she doesn’t rely on a formal “team.” Instead, she promotes consistent communication, regular progress assessments, and a willingness to adapt the plan as needed. “Celebrate the wins. Be flexible. Plans should reflect the reality on the ground, not some idealized version of it.”

When asked what she wishes more people understood about strategic planning, the answer comes quickly: execution is everything. “Planning is only part of the equation. Without a roadmap for how to implement it—without aligning people around a shared purpose—the plan won’t go anywhere.”

The early signs at Justin-Siena are promising. “I’ve been struck by the level of strategic thinking here,” she notes. “People genuinely appreciate the opportunity to have conversations about the school’s future.”

Looking ahead, her personal vision of success is modest but meaningful. “This is probably my last engagement,” she says with a smile. “I’m trying to retire.”

Still, the wisdom she’s gathered will no doubt carry forward. Her advice for others leading similar efforts? “Take the time to get to know the organization. Build relationships first. Planning comes after.”

With that approach, Justin-Siena’s strategic path is not only being mapped with care, it’s being built on a foundation of trust, clarity, and shared commitment to a thriving future.

TO INSPIRE AND EDUCATE FAITH-FILLED DIFFERENCE MAKERS.

COMING THIS FALL — A ROAD VISION 2O3

STRATEGIC PLAN

Strategic Priority 1

Amplify and promote our Lasallian Catholic mission, identity, and culture.

By activating our mission, animating our Lasallian Educational Outcomes, cultivating Lasallian leadership among faculty and staff, and expanding parent engagement, the school ensures that its core values of faith, service, and community are taught, lived, and celebrated. This comprehensive approach ensures that every student, parent, and Lasallian educator understands and embodies the Lasallian mission and heritage, creating a unified and inspired community poised to send graduates into the world as impactful, faith-driven leaders.

Strategic Priority 2

Elevate Justin-Siena’s holistic student experience through programs and facilities that prioritize excellence, wellness, and future readiness for all.

By providing access to meaningful programs, fostering leadership, embedding service and social justice, and investing in exceptional facilities and Lasallian educators, Justin-Siena cultivates an environment where students are empowered to become compassionate, adaptable, and impactful individuals, ready to make a difference in the world.

Strategic Priority 3

Expand our capacity to support and sustain mission-inspired excellence.

By fostering a unified organizational culture, strengthening our financial foundation, and broadening our community reach, Justin-Siena bolsters its long-term future. “One thing I love about the Justin-Siena community is how much effort is put into ensuring that student voices are heard. I see this as a meaningful strength that will greatly benefit Justin-Siena. On a personal level, I’ve learned that my experiences and perspectives can contribute to improving our community, and I feel motivated to share them to help drive positive change.”

Fund-a-Need Gifts

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who generously contributed to the Quinlan Family Innovation Lab Fund-a-Need. Your support will directly enhance our science and engineering departments, providing students with hands-on, future-ready learning experiences. This new lab represents a critical step in preparing our students for success in college and careers in STEM fields. Included in this list are those who contributed to the new Zeller Center for Student Engagement.
