Jupiter Christian School exists to teach the mind, reach the heart, and inspire servant leaders who are impacting the world for Jesus Christ.

Our vision is for students to realize their full God-given potential in a unified and accessible multi-campus community with modern academic, trades, athletic, and performing arts facilities and the best faculty, staff, and coaches available.

Vision Core Values

Biblical Truth Seeking and Speaking

We seek and search after the truth of God through His word. (Psalm 51:6; John 17:17).

l l l Biblical Calling

We believe God’s word is the source of infallible truth; all truth is His truth. (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

We believe that seeking truth is a daily discipline (Acts 17:11).

l l l Biblical Unity

l

I am known by name (Isaiah 43:1).

I am expected to do my best and reach my fullest, God-given potential (Colossians 3:23).

I am encouraged to learn and exemplify the life and teachings of Jesus (Romans 12:2).

We approach all aspects of community life from a Biblical Worldview (1 Corinthians 12:12).

l l

We are committed to biblical unity and service that mirrors the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 1:10).

We value parent-faculty partnership at every stage of student development (Proverbs22:6).

Biblical Stewardship

l l l

We are devoted to making Christian education accessible in our community (Matthew 19:14).

We provide a rigorous liberal arts and college-preparatory academic program (Colossians 3:23).

We diligently steward the resources God has provided to safeguard a lasting legacy (III John 4).

Over the past several months, our Board of Directors has been engaged in a thoughtful and collaborative process to chart a course for the future of our school. As a part of the reaccreditation process, we set out to solicit as much input as possible before writing the next strategic plan for Jupiter Christian School. In so doing, the school’s direction for the future began to crystallize and our updated plan for success gained clarity and substance. Today, I am proud to introduce our next Strategic Plan .

One of the most important things that any institution can do is to form a comprehensive plan describing how it intends to make its vision a reality. A goal without a road map is just a dream. But once a plan is developed, it must be effectively and clearly communicated to its entire constituency – in our case, our families, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends.

This plan reflects the collective vision of our board, parents, faculty, staff, and alumni, who have all contributed their insights and aspirations to help shape the future of our school. It is grounded in our mission to teach the mind, reach the heart, and inspire servant leaders who are impacting the world for Jesus Christ. Most importantly, it is consistent with the distinctives and core values that set our school apart from the rest.

Today, I am honored to be partnered with you for the education of the next generation as we both recognize the extraordinary cultural moment we are in. Christian education has never faced so many challenges, but it has also never had such tremendous opportunity!

As we endeavor to bolster and sustain our school, your partnership is upholding what is central to our mission: the mind and heart of every child.

In another 60 years, I believe our school will look back on this moment as a time when our foundation was strengthened, our community was united in vision, and God’s faithfulness was on full display. Because yesterday, today, and forever,

“Christ is all, and is in all.”

Thank you for your continued commitment to our school. Together, we can ensure that Jupiter Christian School remains a place where students thrive, grow, and succeed.

Strategic Priorities 2019-2024

Where We Begin

Welcome to JCS Today ....and Tomorrow!

Over 60 years ago, our founders took a bold step to keep God’s Word in the classroom - to build a school community that shines the light of Jesus to the town of Jupiter. Today, we give thanks to God for bringing us this far and look to Him for the future. We are reaping the blessings of the seeds planted in 1963. Today, we are planting new seeds that will flourish for generations to come.

Vision 2030 comes at a pivotal moment in our cultural and institutional history. Our culture is undergoing swift transformation. Each day brings revolutions in technology and communication, significant progress in our understanding of how people learn, develop, and adapt, and profound shifts in the social, political, and economic landscapes both locally and globally.

JCS is experiencing a transformation as well.

We are increasing the number of faculty with advanced degrees and students making progress toward college degrees through our coursework. We are experiencing tremendous unity around our mission and vision. We are capturing opportunities for growth and innovation. We are pursuing progressive and inclusive practices, adopting new methodologies and offering wider perspectives to broaden and deepen our curriculum. We are advancing a successful capital campaign.

“Christ is all, and is in all.”

COLOSSIANS 3:11

We are in a position of tremendous strength.

We have reached record numbers in Admissions applications, our giving is historically high, our student body is truly thriving, and our teachers are continually inspired and inspiring. We are guided by an enduring vision to see our students realize their full God-given potential in a unified and accessible multicampus community with modern academic, trades, athletic, and performing arts facilities.

Our Brightest Tomorrow

Choices, Assumptions, and Ambitions: An Introduction to the Strategic Plan

At JCS, creating a strategic plan is never just a routine task. We pour our hearts and souls into the process because it represents the future we envision for ourselves.

The process of developing this plan has been intensive and inclusive. Through the ReAccreditation process with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), we conducted quantitative surveys and qualitative focus groups with every constituency in the JCS community. Our Board of Directors provided feedback, guidance, and structure at every stage of revision and re-imagining. The following pages are the result of more than a year of listening to the people of JCS - their hopes and dreams, their concerns and critiques, their ambitions and aspirations.

This plan is founded on a strategic set of choices. The choices we are making are as follows:

Rather than narrowing our focus and staying stagnant, we are broadening the horizon we’ve set for ourselves. Though we may be a small community, our region is expanding in ways we never could have imagined. We are choosing to aim for excellence and prestige.

We are choosing to embrace the power of place. To honor the unique and historic town we all love, rich in natural beauty, vibrant culture, and tremendous industry expertise, we are choosing to engage in tangible and transformative ways.

l At every turn, alignment with our mission will be the benchmark we use to take the next step.

We are choosing to behave as an institution in ways that reflect our core values - to make decisions informed by research, to listen intently to our people and their stories, and to extend our shared willingness to experiment, test, adjust, and advance.

This plan also contains certain institutional assumptions, implicit or explicit. As JCS upholds and advocates for transparency with all its members, we need to be collectively committed to the following three assumptions that are at work in this plan.

First, we are advancing our mission. We are purposefully aligning our programs, resources, and practices with our core values and more effectively meeting the evolving needs of our students as the next generation of leaders.

Second, we are redefining transformational partnership in Christian education. People are our most important asset - from the students brimming with potential, the faculty called here to inspire the next generation, to our parents who invest in our mission, we are committed to walking hand-in-hand with all members of our community.

Third, we are embracing what sets us apart. Accessible, biblical, and family-first education has been in our DNA since our founding in 1963. We are building on a firm foundation for our faith, families, and future.

Now, together, we remain a light for all to see.
