FROM THE PRESIDENT
To the Jupiter Christian School community: As we look back on the 2023-24 school year, I am filled with gratitude for the many successes across our community. This report highlights the achievements in each division, showcasing much to celebrate. The Annual Report offers a snapshot of the growing strength, enriched experiences, and continued progress at Jupiter Christian School. I want to express my sincere thanks for the exceptional support we’ve received from you—through record-breaking contributions, volunteer hours, committee involvement, Parent Fellowship participation, and the enhancement of our school’s influence and reputation.
JCS is proud to be known for excellence in teaching the mind, reaching the heart, and inspiring servant leaders to impact the world for Jesus Christ. In the following pages, you will see some of the ways that the Annual Fund is strengthening this mission by attracting and retaining the highest quality faculty and families. With your support, our children are being raised up in a community where they are known by name and loved unconditionally in a safe and secure environment, and where they are nurtured and educated to reach their fullest potential in college, career, family, and beyond.
This past year, we set out to raise $1,000,000 toward the Annual Fund, strengthening our athletics, fine arts, student learning services, scholarship programs, security, and teaching faculty support. Thanks to you, we far exceeded our goal and were able to invest heavily in our facilities through Phase I of the Building Legacy Campaign. Although there is more work to be done to elevate our existing facilities and harden the security of our campuses, I am proud of the progress and eager to witness all that God has in store for our students as they learn and grow on our beautiful campuses this year!
Thank you for choosing Jupiter Christian School to educate your children. We take our commitment to you and your family very seriously and prayerfully continue to pursue excellence in everything we do.
On behalf of our entire team of faculty, staff, board, and administration, I just want to say thank you for being a part of this mission.
Shalom,

DR. SETH COHEN President of JCS

DONOR SPOTLIGHT: THE CHESNEY FAMILY

“
We are optimistic about the future
of JCS....and envision physical expansion to better accommodate the growing student body.
“
The transition to Jupiter Christian School from public school for the Chesney family 3 years ago was an easy one, driven by their desire for a smaller, more intimate faith-based environment for their two boys, Trey (15) and Cameron (13).
Freddy and Kelly Chesney demonstrated their commitment with the first cornerstone gift toward campus improvements. “Kelly and I made the decision to partner with JCS based on the leadership from Dr. Seth Cohen, President, and Mr. Donald Barnes, Chairman of the Board,” Freddy says. “I have known Donald for 20 years. He has been a mentor to me, and when I saw that he and Seth had taken over the leadership roles at JCS, I was all in!”
Looking ahead, Freddy is optimistic about the future of JCS. He hopes the loving culture fostered by the faculty and staff will continue to flourish, as they consistently pour into the students. He also envisions physical expansion to better accommodate the growing student body
“I am a big fan of the Athletic Program at JCS and would like to see Champion Athletics on a consistent year-to-year basis. I think with some of the things going on in the school, we are well on our way to that,” Chesney notes.
The Chesneys’ dedication to JCS ensures that future generations of students will continue to thrive. They hope that other families will also be encouraged to invest in shaping the future of Jupiter Christian School.

DEVELOPING CHRISTIAN LEADERS AND COMPETITIVE EXCELLENCE.

PUTTING GOD FIRST, ALWAYS.
DONOR SPOTLIGHT: MRS. LISA CHITTY

“Students are being empowered with the Word of
Jesus Christ and JCS is helping them to be smart, strong, and powerful young people.“
Since 2018, Lisa Chitty has led Jupiter Christian School’s East Campus on Pennock Lane. “What brought me to JCS is the love for the Lord” Lisa states. “It doesn’t get any better than to share the love of Jesus with children and to implant those seeds at a very young age for children to know not only who they are, but whose they are, and be able to empower them to love the Lord. JCS is committed to ensuring that the academics and learning programs provided reach the highest standards.”
Lisa feels that JCS has left a significant mark on the Jupiter community. Ten years from now, she knows that mark will continue to stand strong because JCS is raising some amazing leaders. Students are being empowered with the word of Jesus Christ and JCS is helping them to be smart, strong, and powerful young people.
After 40 plus years of educational administration, Lisa has stepped away from leadership at the East Campus but as she looks to the future, she is confident that the students of today are our leaders of tomorrow. Lisa notes, “It is essential to continue developing, empowering, and then watching them fly. I know that years from now, there will be many children out there leading our community, walking side by side, and helping to impact not only this community but other communities and even the world. JCS is raising young ladies and young men to impact the world for Jesus Christ.”
As an impact partner, Lisa has generously helped to make a difference through The Annual Fund, paving the path to lifelong success and flourishing for students, and safeguarding a lasting legacy for the Jupiter Christian School community. We are grateful for everything Lisa has done for our school!

SPIRITUAL FORMATION & OUTREACH
Putting Faith Into Action
At Jupiter Christian School, we believe that spiritual growth is foundational to a wellrounded education. Our Spiritual Formation and Outreach program is dedicated to nurturing students’ faith, character, and compassion from preschool through 12th grade. Through Bible studies, weekly chapel services, and Christ-centered curriculum, students are encouraged to deepen their relationship with Christ and live out their faith in everyday life.
Our outreach initiatives offer students the opportunity to serve others and put their faith into action. Whether through local community service projects, mission trips, or partnerships with global ministries, our students learn the value of serving with love and humility. By engaging in these meaningful experiences, they develop a heart for others and a lifelong commitment to making a positive impact in the world for God’s glory.
At JCS, we are committed to guiding each student on their spiritual journey, helping them to grow in their understanding of God’s word and empowering them to live out their Christian faith with purpose and passion.
Spiritual Formation Opportunities Include:
l Student-led worship and chapel takeover
l Spiritual Emphasis Week
l Student-led Bible studies
l Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Our curriculum is designed to bring out the best in your child through an individual educational experience.

Preschool celebrated the harvest with a Fall Festival, Pumpkin Patch, and Thanksgiving Celebrations.
A robust phonics curriculum was implemented to further enhance the foundational skills of our young readers.
Our students continued to grow in their faith through daily Bible devotionals and teachings. We also celebrated our love for Christ through daily worship time.
With our parents and friends of JCS, we were able to participate in acts of kindness and giving to various charities.
Students continued to grow academically because of smaller class sizes and individual attention given to each student’s growth potential.

Logan Hubka, 3rd Grade
Logan was an ambassador for Elementary School, where she showed incoming 2nd Graders the new campus and assured them that it was not scary but a fun place to grow and learn! She also spoke at the end of the year to the graduating 1st Graders to let them know about the West Campus.
Logan has shown students around the classroom and talked to them about how the West Campus is a fun place to learn with great teachers. Why does she like serving, you ask? Logan said, “God gave me a kind and loving heart for Jesus and the ability to treat others how I want to be treated. I have gotten to speak about God openly with friends and new friends! Also, I got to meet some older students!”
“
Other Elementary School Students Shared...
I feel the Lord gave me the gifts of helping, serving, and leadership in order to be more like Him.
- Andrew Thomas, 1st Grade
I show leadership and service to JCS when I build up others, and I help First Graders not to be scared of Second Grade and the big campus. When someone doesn’t feel good I take them to the clinic. I’m kind, thoughtful, and stick up for people when someone isn’t being nice to them. It makes me feel confident to help others!
- Niko Skokos, 4th Grade
I think God has gifted me with a genuine love for my friends, a desire to help others, and a heart that wants to grow closer to God. Those things help me serve at JCS! Sometimes being a leader can just look like being a good example for classmates and working hard with a good attitude. Doing both of those things has made my experience at JCS amazing!

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Cultivating Both Academic Readiness and Leadership Development
The Middle School years are marked by tremendous change, growth, and opportunity for students. At Jupiter Christian School, the heartbeat of our Middle School program is Micah 6:8 where the Lord defines what is good: “to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk in humility.” Our purpose is to help form both competent and confident students who understand the Lord’s calling in their life and are ready to navigate high school and beyond.
Middle School Highlights:
New Middle School Entrepreneurship, Business, and Home Economics electives to support HS Pathways. l
House Community provided opportunities for cultural belonging, character formation, and Christian scholarship. Our middle school students, faculty, and staff were divided into four houses (Justelion, Agape, Veritas, and Humilitas) as a practical and engaging way to live out our theme verse, Micah 6:8. Students earned house points individually or as a team for modeling growth and excellence in academics, service, character, and community. We ended each quarter with House Battles!
Quarterly Service Projects partnered with non-profit organizations included Urban Youth Impact, Operation Christmas Child, Quantum House, and Go-Build-Love.
New Honors Program with advanced tracking was available in Math, Science, and English Language Arts.
Academic Field Trips included Brevard Zoo, Town of Jupiter, Solid Waste Authority, Museum of Discovery and Science, and Grassy Waters Preserve.
Lower Middle School had access to robotics, coding, and engineering design using Lego Spike and Prime.
Upper Middle School students had access to Project Lead the Way “Computer Science for Innovators and Makers”.

MIDDLE SCHOOL LEADERSHIP STORIES

Mark Mestrovich, 6th Grade
Mark has been demonstrating leadership for the past few years as a Middle School House Guardian, promoted this year to Ambassador and also serving as our Eagle mascot!
When serving on safety patrol as a Guardian, Mark was responsible for opening car doors to help his peers as they arrived at school. As an Ambassador, he also helped greet families at parent orientation. He shares he wanted to be a student leader because it looked like a lot of fun and it makes him happy to make other kids feel good. Mark feels God has given him a great sense of humor and a heart to help others because he “helps the school and tries to show students joy.” Being a student leader has made his experience better because it makes him feel like he is a part of the school in many different ways.
His mom Pam, a JCS alumna (Class of 2000), shares that it’s been great to see her children experience the same love and Christ centered environment she had when she went to school here. “The feeling of family and community the moment you walk on campus is what really makes JCS special. We are truly grateful to be part of the JCS family and give back wherever we can. My husband gives back to the school as a member of the Board and we both take pride in staying involved.”
“
Other Middle School Students Shared...
Some of the qualities I feel the Lord has given me to serve as an Ambassador is perseverance, humility, and putting others before myself.
- Austin Burnett, 6th Grade
I believe God blessed me with the ability to speak to the public well. Being a leader has let me gain new friends and has also created good opportunities for growing as a student and leader.
- Annabel Brack, 7th Grade
It makes me feel better about myself when I know that what I just did is what Jesus would have done. And that makes me have a positive attitude towards things, especially making my experience at Jupiter Christian School a lot better.
- Evelyn Gephart, 8th Grade

HIGH SCHOOL
Empowering Students To Become Leaders At The Next Level & Beyond
High School students are provided with an academically challenging, Christ-centered, college and career preparatory curriculum. The curriculum integrates a biblical worldview to enhance Christian values while readying students for their post-secondary pursuits. A Jupiter Christian School student will arrive at graduation feeling proud of their accomplishments and prepared to excel in their college or career plans.
High School Highlights:
Students participated in the annual “1 Million Book Giveaway.” Books were donated to the JCS East Campus, UB Kinsey/Palmview Elementary School, and For the Children Learning Center. Our students also served at Feeding South Florida and House of Hope during R.E.A.C.H. Week, and they ended the school year by participating in the “Chef for a Day” event at Quantum House where they prepared lunch for 55 house guests!
Senior Prefects mentored, and were mentored, as well as played an important part in major actions, decisions and changes within the areas of our school where they served.
JCS partnered with the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, a national high school leadership program focused on IMPACT THROUGH ACTION. Each month, students gathered to learn timeless leadership principles through lessons that are called Leader Labs. Taught in a relevant and engaging way, these give students the practical tools needed to make a positive impact in their local communities.
Team Building Adventures R.E.A.C.H. Week showed that teamwork is the essence of humanity. Each part of our body has been given to us to serve not ourselves, but others. HS students embarked on four local team-building scenarios: a rope course at FAU, paintball, an escape room, and a trapeze! They continued to use the skills they learned, spending their final day volunteering at a local assisted living facility.

HIGH SCHOOL LEADERSHIP STORIES

Courtney Grady, 12th Grade
Courtney Grady is part of our Senior Class of 2025! When asked to reflect about her last year of leadership, she shared about the blessings to being exposed to more of the service opportunities JCS offers. Through Student Government Association and National Honor Society, she was able to serve her classmates through being a part of the student/teacher teams. They helped put together High School events like spirit weeks, Homecoming activities, trunk-or-treats, and more!
Courtney also got to be a Teacher’s Assistant for our Elementary School Principal, Mrs. Brown, which gave her ample opportunities to get involved with the Elementary events like the Mother-Son Nights, Grandparent’s Day, and more.
Some of the responsibilities she has had as a student leader at JCS is not only to be diligent and give her time, but to also be a Christ-loving student that shows God’s love to all her classmates.
When Courtney was in Middle School, she always looked up to the High School leaders and wanted to be like them. She also
wanted to get involved more in the JCS community, and the best way to do that is through the leadership opportunities given. Being a student leader has made her experience here better by forcing her to come out of her shell and pushing her to meet new people she normally would not have. It also taught her many valuable lessons and has helped her build up her character into the person she is today!
Courtney shares that “God has definitely given me the ability to have joy and to really cherish the relationships I make with my classmates, teachers, and the JCS staff.”

Josiah Joseph, Class of 2024 Entrepreneur
Recent graduate, Josiah Joseph, reflects on a goal he set when he was 9 years old. One day, he wanted to use his creativity and math skills to launch a business of his own. At that age, he had no idea what it would take and had no vision for how to make it happen.
Growing up in a Christian home, he always wanted a personal relationship with Jesus. But last year, the school theme was Called, and every day centered on pursuing God’s calling for his life. He remembered that Elementary School dream and felt particularly called to do something even greater than just business - he set out to express faith through fashion!
That is when he launched his brand, Divine Savior, putting the Gospel on the apparel that can be seen around campus and inspiring students to declare their faith without fear in public spaces.

20232024 PATHWAYS PROGRAM
Exposing Students to Professional Fields and Career Opportunities
JCS Pathways Program for grades 9-12 is founded on Ephesians 2:10, believing each student is God’s masterpiece, created to do good works, which God prepared in advance for them. As part of our comprehensive college preparatory program, our Pathways Programs expose students to professional fields and career opportunities through specialized curriculum, mentoring relationships, and experiential learning as students gain insight into God’s calling on their lives. Pathways Program completion could be described as earning a “major” emphasis alongside general education requirements. In 2024, 30 students participated in rigorous coursework, experiential learning, and gained work-place skills through internships and career exploration. Students also launched two student-run businesses.
Business and Entrepreneurship:
In pursuing Business and Entrepreneurship, students learn how organizations create, manage, market, finance, and track value. In the study of Economics, students learn to apply mathematical models to data in order to answer public policy questions and private enterprise problems.
Medical Professions:
As a part of their education within the Medical Professions Pathway, our faculty mentors students in research and discovery projects to equip young leaders to pursue excellence in a variety of career trajectories, including vocations such as physicians, nurses, physical therapists, veterinarians, dentists, public health advocates, biomedical researchers, and more.
Communications:
The Communications Pathway allows students to specialize in journalism, communication, and production. These areas work together to produce various opportunities for experience through the school newspaper, yearbook, and media. In this academy, students keep the school community informed and develop skills such as videography, photography, design, writing, mass communication, editing, digital media, publishing, storytelling, and more.

Fine Arts:
There are two Fine Arts Pathways: Performance and Visual Arts. The performing arts endorsement seeks to bring each of its students to an intellectual understanding of the many aspects of musical practice and to demand the highest level possible of technical and artistic achievement in performance, composition, and worship. The visual arts endorsement takes students down a path of achievement and vision that integrates faith, creative inquiry, and hands-on practice.
Ministry Leadership:
The Ministry Leadership Pathway is designed to disciple and train high school students in various areas of vocational ministry. Students will learn and apply worship leadership skills, deepen biblical literacy, practice worship planning, utilize musical talents, hone their public speaking skills and leverage technology for ministry purposes. Students in this pathway play an integral part of campus chapel and outreach.

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT: MR. SHAWN TEUFEL ‘05

“We motivated each other to strive for excellence and challenged each other to do our best in sports, academics, and in serving our community.
“
Shawn Teufel, JCS Class of 2005, is the Vice President of Family Wealth, Sports and Entertainment at Sykon Capital. He works with families, business owners, and athletes to protect, invest, and preserve their wealth. He shares that Jupiter Christian School prepared him for this role by being a part of our strong Math and Science Magnet program, which grew his love for numbers and science. Initially, Shawn wanted to become a doctor, but God had other plans and is using his story to help others use their resources to grow the Kingdom and glorify Him!
When reflecting about his time at our school, he is most proud of the foundation that JCS created in his lifea firm foundation on Christian principles, allowing Christ to guide and direct his every move. The attributes our institution instilled in him – those of trustworthiness, honesty, and integrity - shape how he approaches and conducts business today. He strives to help families maximize what God has provided with a Biblical foundation.
Shawn, a lifelong athlete, was a part of the JCS team who won the 2005 Baseball District Championship! He went on to play baseball for Liberty University and was drafted in his senior year. He was blessed to play six years with the Detroit Tigers and New York Mets organizations. Shawn was also a part of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the National Honors Society during his time at JCS. “Looking back”, he notes, “in any type of industry or profession, being open to learn new skills will pay dividends in the future.” He encourages our community to keep making strides to grow in knowledge and add value to other’s lives.
When thinking about student life, he recalls his class as being very competitive. “We motivated each other to strive for excellence and challenged each other to do our best in sports, academics, and in serving our community”, Shawn says. The Class of 2005 was a memorable one and he still enjoys connecting with his fellow JCS Alumni.
Jupiter Christian School has been a tremendous blessing in Shawn’s family’s life. He and his wife, Julie, are excited to see their three daughters grow and develop the same Christian values during their time at our school. Be on the lookout for the Teufel girls playing for the JCS volleyball front line or the girls basketball team or softball team come 2034!
