LETTER FROM OUR CAO

Susan Murphy - Chief Academic Officer

Dear Prospective Parent,

At Jupiter Christian School, we believe that education is not just about imparting knowledge, but also about shaping character and cultivating a lifelong love for learning. Our mission is to teach the mind, reach the heart, and inspire servant leaders who are impacting the world through Jesus Christ.

JCS is a unique and enriching place for your child’s education. Among our strengths, several things set us apart:

Academic Excellence

Our rigorous academic program is designed to challenge and inspire students to reach their full potential. With a dedicated team of highly qualified teachers, we offer a curriculum that integrates faith and learning, encouraging critical thinking and creativity. Our class sizes and structure ensure personalized attention and a supportive learning environment.

Spiritual Development

Faith is at the heart of everything we do. Through daily prayer, Bible study, and weekly Chapel services, we encourage students to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Our faculty and staff are committed to modeling Christian values and guiding students in their spiritual journey.

Character Formation

We strive to instill in our students the virtues of honesty, respect, responsibility, service, justice, and compassion. Through various service opportunities, character and leadership education, we encourage students to develop a strong moral compass and a heart for serving others.

Community and Belonging

At JCS, we are more than just a school; we are a community in which every child is known, loved, and cared for. We value the partnership between home and school and because this is part of our core as an institution, we actively involve parents in the educational process. Our students, families, and staff form lasting relationships that create a sense of belonging and support.

Whether you are a JCS graduate, a friend of the school, or interested in learning more about us, I invite you to explore our website for opportunities to connect, follow us on social media, or schedule a tour. As you do, I hope you get a sense of Jupiter Christian School that I have come to know: a place where learning is contagious, faculty is engaging, faith deepens, and true growth is happening at all stages of life.

Our commitment to family values, consistent focus on scholastic excellence, community involvement, servanthood, and careful stewardship of resources are an integral part of our school. For Jupiter Christian School, Jesus Christ is the true cornerstone of all we do.

This is an exciting time to be a part of the Jupiter Christian community. Solid foundation has been created by those who have walked before us, and we are poised to take the next step in all areas of our school.

Our Mission

Jupiter Christian School is committed to excellence in teaching the mind, reaching the heart, and inspiring servant leaders who are impacting the world for Jesus Christ.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

G rades K-4

Our Elementary School offers a nurturing environment where small groups and differentiated instruction contribute significantly to the quality of our academic program. We provide students the necessary knowledge, skills, and spiritual foundation to become leaders and transformers at the next level and beyond.

The elementary years are when a child’s dreams, interests, and gifts begin to unfold.

Students grow in academic skills, social understanding, biblical knowledge, and resilience as they become more independent.

Students are evaluated regularly through various classroom methods as well as measurement tools such as the Reading Benchmark Assessment and NWEA’s MAP Growth Assessment.

Jupiter Christian School utilizes numerous publishers and texts to comprise our standards-aligned, academically rigorous, and Christcentered curriculum.

Differentiated learning centers, and small group learning are intentionally integrated into the daily routine.

The average class size is 17 Students per Grade Level: K through 4th Grade.

Academic and Leadership opportunities include sharing the Morning Announcements, serving on the Worship Club, and participating in service projects, LEGO League, the ACSI Spelling Bee, ACSI Math Olympics, ACSI Creative Writing Festival, and ACSI Art Festival.

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

- Matthew 19:14 (NIV)

Elementary School Leadership Stories

“Logan Hubka, 3rd Grade

Logan was an ambassador for Elementary School, where she showed incoming 2nd Graders the new campus and assured them that it was not scary but a fun place to grow and learn! She also spoke at the end of the year to the graduating 1st Graders to let them know about the West Campus.

Logan has shown students around the classroom and talked to them about how the West Campus is a fun place to learn with great teachers. Why does she like serving, you ask? Logan said, “God gave me a kind and loving heart for Jesus and the ability to treat others how I want to be treated. I have gotten to speak about God openly with friends and new friends! Also, I got to meet some older students!”

Other Elementary Students Shared...

I feel the Lord gave me the gifts of helping, serving, and leadership in order to be more like Him.

Andrew Thomas, 1st Grade

I show leadership and service to JCS when I build up others, and I help First Graders not to be scared of Second Grade and the big campus. When someone doesn’t feel good I take them to the clinic. I’m kind, thoughtful, and stick up for people when someone isn’t being nice to them. It makes me feel confident to help others!

Niko Skokos, 4th Grade

I think God has gifted me with a genuine love for my friends, a desire to help others, and a heart that wants to grow closer to God. Those things help me serve at JCS! Sometimes being a leader can just look like being a good example for classmates and working hard with a good attitude. Doing both of those things has made my experience at JCS amazing!

Emerson Cishek, 4th Grade

“He has told you, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”

- Micah 6:8 (ESV)

MIDDLE SCHOOL G rades 5-8

The Middle School years are marked with tremendous change, growth, and opportunity for students. At Jupiter Christian School, the heartbeat of our Middle School program is Micah 6:8 when the Lord defines what is good: to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk in humility. Our purpose is to help form both competent and confident students who understand the Lord’s calling in their lives and are ready to navigate high school and beyond.

With the foundation of a nurturing community, our Middle School cultivates both academic readiness and leadership development.

Our teachers are not only subject matter experts but also coaches who will challenge and, most importantly, care for the minds of their students.

With a 2:1 student to device ratio, students have access to iPads, MacBook Airs, and PC desktops with numerous apps to augment the educational experience both at school and at home.

SMART Boards in the classroom help our teachers leverage student devices more meaningfully, while easily managing connected devices, content, and learning experiences – both in and out of the classroom.

To ensure each child can reach their full God-given potential, Middle School provides: Positive Action Bible curriculum, weekly Chapel and advisory groups, and a daily homeroom and Bible period. The Middle School House System is a house community meant to help provide cultural belonging, character formation, and Christian scholarship.

Middle School Leadership Stories

Mark Mestrovich, 6th Grade

Mark has been demonstrating leadership for the past few years as a Middle School House Guardian, promoted this year to Ambassador and also serving as our Eagle mascot! When serving on safety patrol as a Guardian, Mark was responsible for opening car doors to help his peers as they arrived at school. As an Ambassador, he also helped greet families at parent orientation. He shares he wanted to be a student leader because it looked like a lot of fun and it makes him happy to make other kids feel good. Mark feels God has given him a great sense of humor and a heart to help others because he “helps the school and tries to show students joy.” Being a student leader has made his experience better because it makes him feel like he is a part of the school in many different ways.

His mom Pam, a JCS alumna (Class of 2000), shares that it’s been great to see her children experience the same love and Christ centered environment she had when she went to school here. “The feeling of family and community the moment you walk on campus is what really makes JCS special. We are truly grateful to be part of the JCS family and give back wherever we can. My husband gives back to the school as a member of the Board and we both take pride in staying involved.”

Other Middle School Students Shared...

“Some of the qualities I feel the Lord has given me to serve as an Ambassador is perseverance, humility, and putting others before myself.

Austin Burnett, 6th Grade

I believe God blessed me with the ability to speak to the public well. Being a leader has let me gain new friends and has also created good opportunities for growing as a student and leader.

Annabel Brack, 7th Grade

It makes me feel better about myself when I know that what I just did is what Jesus would have done. And that makes me have a positive attitude towards things, especially making my experience at Jupiter Christian School a lot better.

Evelyn Gephart, 8th Grade

HIGH SCHOOL G rades 9-12

High School is an exceptional season in a student’s lifetime. Surrounded by committed faculty advisors and positive social supports, JCS seeks to capitalize on the promise and possibility of these pivotal years by raising up well-rounded, self-aware, compassionate individuals who are prepared to take the next step. JCS provides an academically challenging, college preparatory, and Christ-centered curriculum. It is our desire to thoroughly prepare students for their postsecondary pursuits both academically and spiritually. We provide students the necessary knowledge, skills, and spiritual foundation required to enable them to become leaders and transformers at the next level and beyond!

The curriculum integrates a biblical worldview to enhance and reinforce the mastery of core knowledge and life-long skills while encouraging Christian values.

Technology is integrated regularly into the curriculum classroom. We offer a 2:1 student to device ratio, using iPads, MacBook Airs, and PC desktops with numerous apps to augment the educational experience both at school and at home.

JCS has established a partnership with Palm Beach Atlantic University and Southeastern University which allows students to enroll in college coursework, while attending JCS.

The Prefect Board Program is designed for select 12th grade students to join JCS administration in our goal of teaching the mind, reaching the heart, and inspiring servant leaders who are impacting the world for Jesus Christ. By the end of their senior year, each member will have mentored and been mentored, as well as played an important part in major actions, decisions, and changes within the areas of our school where they serve.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

- Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

High School Leadership Stories

Courtney Grady, 12th Grade

Courtney Grady is part of our Senior Class of 2025! When asked to reflect about her last year of leadership, she shared about the blessings to being exposed to more of the service opportunities JCS offers. Through Student Government Association and National Honor Society, she was able to serve her classmates through being a part of the student/teacher teams. They helped put together High School events like spirit weeks, Homecoming activities, trunk-or-treats, and more!

Courtney also got to be a Teacher’s Assistant for our Elementary School Principal, Mrs. Brown, which gave her ample opportunities to get involved with the Elementary events like the Mother-Son

Nights, Grandparent’s Day, and more.

Some of the responsibilities she has had as a student leader at JCS is not only to be diligent and give her time, but to also be a Christ-loving student that shows God’s love to all her classmates. When Courtney was in Middle School, she always looked up to the High School leaders and wanted to be like them. She also wanted to get involved more in the JCS community, and the best way to do that is through the leadership opportunities given. Being a student leader has made her experience here better by forcing her to come out of her shell and pushing her to meet new people she normally would not have. It also taught her many valuable lessons and has helped her build up her character into the person she is today!

Courtney shares that “God has definitely given me the ability to have joy and to really cherish the relationships I make with my classmates, teachers, and the JCS staff.”

Josiah Joseph, Entrepreneur, Class of 2024

Recent graduate, Josiah Joseph, reflects on a goal he set when he was 9 years old. One day, he wanted to use his creativity and math skills to launch a business of his own. At that age, he had no idea what it would take and had no vision for how to make it happen.

Growing up in a Christian home, he always wanted a personal relationship with Jesus. But last year, the school theme was Called, and every day centered on pursuing God’s calling for his life. He remembered that Elementary School dream and felt particularly called to do something even greater than just business - he set out to express faith through fashion!

That is when he launched his brand, Divine Savior, putting the Gospel on the apparel that can be seen around campus and inspiring students to declare their faith without fear in public spaces.

PATHWAYS PROGRAM

Connect - Experience - Inspire

The Pathways Program equips our educators and leaders to partner with parents in engaging the unique, God-given gifts and talents of their children. Our Pathways Mission is to expose students to professional fields and career opportunities through specialized curriculum, mentoring relationships, and experiential learning, providing insight into God’s calling on their lives. Students on this pathway are challenged to make

a higher level of academic commitment through engagement in a more rigorous and in-depth experience in an area that may be of interest for their future pursuits. Pathways Program completion could be described as earning a “major” emphasis alongside general education requirements. Often referred to as a “magnet program,” the JCS Pathways Program is a focused, innovative course of study to prepare students to be competitive and successful in college and be industry-ready in the current professional climate. JCS students will have the opportunity to hone those skills, make strides toward their future goals, connect with internship and career opportunities, and discover the Lord’s calling in their life.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

G rades 5-12

Reflect, Enrich, Affirm, Create, and Hear

Our mission at JCS is to teach the mind, reach the heart, and inspire servant leadership within our students. One of the ways we live out and realize our mission is through a yearly, long-standing, and favored tradition here at JCS! This week is focused on allowing our students to R eflect, E nrich, A ffirm, C reate, and H ear as we intentionally connect spiritual formation and classroom learning with service opportunities throughout our local, national, and global community. In addition, students get to see how they can have an impact on the world and others as they are available to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ.

We believe that learning is an act of worship. Colossians 3:23 (NIV) states: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” We understand learning is NOT passive, but active with the intent to bring glory and honor to God. Since students learn best by doing and experiencing, R.E.A.C.H. Week is an opportunity for our students to engage intellectually, socially, physically, and spiritually.

Course offerings highlight spiritual formation, interdisciplinary learning, civic engagement, career development, cultural awareness, leadership, and other professional and intellectual skills.

Building, Testing, and Revealing Christ-Like Characteristics

At JCS, we believe that athletics is an excellent environment to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ and become more like Him through the testing of our faith. Interscholastic athletics should foster and cultivate traits of Christian character including diligence, responsibility, courage, loyalty, cooperation, self-discipline, good sportsmanship, competition, team

play, and striving towards excellence. Moreover, we endeavor to show love, unity, mental toughness, respect, integrity, encouragement, and enthusiasm both in and out of the athletic arena. Athletics provides a venue to build, to test, and to reveal these Christ-like characteristics as we strive to love God and others.

LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Dr. Seth Cohen

For over 60 years, we have remained committed to excellence in teaching the mind, reaching the heart, and inspiring servant leaders who are impacting the world for Jesus Christ. The mind and heart of our students is at the center of our mission. Whether a student is developing the building blocks of lifelong learning on one of our Preschool campuses, growing in faith and character in an Elementary School classroom, exploring their gifts and talents as a member of a Middle School Leadership Houses, or preparing to launch from our High School with confidence into college, career, and beyond, your child will be known by name and loved here. Each employee on each campus is united by our commitment to partner with you in the nurture of your children in every area of life—academic, social-emotional, athletic, artistic, vocational, and spiritual—and driven by a singular desire to strengthen them and equip them for the next chapter of life.

In the last three decades in Christian education, the greatest student success stories I’ve seen all share one key ingredient: their parents were in intentional partnership with the school for the duration of their education. I want to encourage you as a parent to get involved in the life of the school in any way you can so that you can feel as at home here as your child!

As President, I am blessed to be a part of this amazing team who encourage, inspire, and lift up our students in a such a grace-filled community. As a father of JCS students, I have loved being a part of the Jupiter Christian family for the last four years and look forward to seeing what God has planned for our students in the years to come.

Shalom,

ARE YOU READY TO SOAR AT JCS?

We hope from the moment you arrive on campus, you will know you are somewhere special. At Jupiter Christian School, we will partner with you to develop your child’s God-given gifts. We believe each student is unique and designed by God for a distinct and powerful purpose. It is our mission to educate young leaders spiritually, academically, physically, and socially with Christ-centered programs offered in a nurturing community.
