Becoming an integral part of the Genesis team Genesis Housing Association sought to find not just a supplier, but a partner who would become an integrated member of their team, both externally and internally. Co-branded vehicles, uniforms and site notices ensure that our partnership is promoted amongst residents, and provide them with the feeling of security. Internally, our cleaning teams who visit all the sites on a regular basis act as ‘the eyes and ears’ for the team at Genesis, proactively reporting any maintenance issues, vandalism or health and safety hazards. Furthermore, our dedicated contract manager works hard to build a rewarding relationship with the Genesis property managers and residents. He is proactive, carries out inspections, resolves any issues promptly and most importantly listens to and engages with all parties. Servicing large number of properties efficiently Due to the large number of sites, Julius Rutherfoord decided that dedicated mobile teams would be much more effective and manageable than site-based staff. We invested in a new interactive scheduling system, which enables us to create the most efficient work schedules, calculate the quickest routes and receive real-time feedback from our operatives. The system brings an incredible amount of transparency to our services for example, our operatives are equipped with handheld PDA’s and are able to take ‘before and after’ photographs of works completed, add an annotation and make a report with GPRS verification for every job we undertake. “I just wanted to send a quick note of compliment to Julius Rutherfoord, I was just passing one of our schemes on my way home from work and your staff were diligently gritting the footpaths and entrance way at 6.30 this evening.
