Courses​ ​are​ ​based​ ​on​ ​foundational​ ​micro-credentials​ ​and​ ​facilitated by​ ​educators​ ​who​ ​have​ ​earned​ ​each​ ​credential.​ ​Courses​ ​will​ ​allow​ ​a time​ ​and​ ​space​ ​to​ ​share​ ​ideas,​ ​practice​ ​skills,​ ​and​ ​complete​ ​action research.​ ​These​ ​sessions​ ​are​ ​held​ ​at​ ​school​ ​site​ ​with​ ​highest enrollment​ ​or​ ​the​ ​district​ ​office.​ ​EYE​ ​Teachers​ ​must​ ​choose​ ​at​ ​least one. ● Cultivating​ ​a​ ​Growth​ ​Mindset ● Student​ ​Voice​ ​and​ ​Choice ● Why​ ​Use​ ​Tech​ ​in​ ​the​ ​Classroom? ● Data-driven​ ​Interventions Register​ ​HERE​.​ ​District​ ​credit​ ​available​ ​upon​ ​successful​ ​course completion.

Earn​ ​a​ ​Micro-credential

Choose​ ​a​ ​micro-credential​ ​that​ ​highlights​ ​your​ ​strengths​ ​or challenges​ ​you​ ​in​ ​an​ ​area​ ​of​ ​growth.​ ​Visit​ ​Bloomboard​​ ​to​ ​learn​ ​more.

Use​ ​a​ ​Classroom​ ​Observation​ ​Day

Three​ ​classroom​ ​observation​ ​days​ ​are​ ​built​ ​into​ ​each​ ​teacher’s​ ​yearly contract.​ ​These​ ​days​ ​can​ ​be​ ​spent​ ​observing​ ​teachers​ ​in​ ​our​ ​district or​ ​at​ ​other​ ​sites​ ​based​ ​on​ ​need.​ ​Talk​ ​to​ ​your​ ​principal​ ​to​ ​arrange​ ​your days.

Go​ ​on​ ​a​ ​Learning​ ​Walk

Each​ ​month,​ ​building​ ​administrators​ ​host​ ​district​ ​learning​ ​walks.

Typically​ ​held​ ​in​ ​the​ ​morning,​ ​these​ ​walks​ ​are​ ​meant​ ​to​ ​engage educators​ ​in​ ​observation​ ​and​ ​discussion​ ​about​ ​classroom​ ​practice.

Become​ ​an​ ​Apple​ ​Teacher

Apple​ ​Teacher​ ​offers​ ​self-paced​ ​training;​ ​as​ ​an​ ​Apple​ ​Teacher​ ​you​ ​will learn​ ​more​ ​about​ ​how​ ​to​ ​improve​ ​student​ ​learning​ ​using​ ​the​ ​devices you​ ​have​ ​in​ ​your​ ​classroom.​ ​12​ ​Relicensure​ ​points​ ​available​ ​for completion.​ ​(one​ ​time)

Become​ ​Google​ ​Certified

If​ ​you​ ​are​ ​an​ ​educator​ ​who​ ​knows​ ​how​ ​to​ ​use​ ​Google​ ​tools​ ​in​ ​the classroom,​ ​this​ ​certification​​ ​allows​ ​you​ ​to​ ​demonstrate​ ​your proficiency.​ ​If​ ​you​ ​want​ ​to​ ​become​ ​better,​ ​Google​ ​provides​ ​training online​.

Complete​ ​Suicide​ ​Awareness​ ​Training

Create​ ​an​ ​account​ ​at​ ​Jason​ ​Foundation​​ ​for​ ​a​ ​two-hour​ ​training​ ​to fulfill​ ​the​ ​state​ ​licensure​ ​requirement.​ ​Required​ ​every​ ​three​ ​years​ ​for all​ ​teachers.

Complete​ ​Child​ ​Abuse​ ​Prevention Training Once​ ​per​ ​career,​ ​the​ ​State​ ​of​ ​Utah​ ​requires​ ​that​ ​teachers​ ​receive​ ​a formal​ ​training​ ​for​ ​child​ ​abuse​ ​prevention.​ ​We​ ​use​ ​Darkness​ ​to​ ​Light: Stewards​ ​of​ ​Children.​ ​View​ ​Canvas​​ ​for​ ​enrollment​ ​details.
