As we know, in the absence of teeth in birds, the gizzard or muscular stomach - the second modification of the digestive tube in birds, designed to compensate for the absence of teeth - carries out the process of grinding food for digestion and assimilation, helping for this the grit (insoluble stone) that acts as an agent of grinding. Based on the above, the objectives of this work were:
1. Determine the effect of different levels of grit as well as of the diameter of the same on egg production and feed conversion efficiency.
2. Determine the cost of production for the concept of feeding with the different levels and diameters of grit.
