BILLY CORBEN (Playwright) is a Florida native, life-long Miamian, and the Emmy, Peabody, and Edward R. Murrow Awardwinning co-founder of Lincoln Road-based production company rakontur. He’s the director of such documentaries as From Russia with Lev (2024) with executive producer Rachel Maddow for MSNBC, Key West Film Festival Best Documentary-winner Men of War (2024), God Forbid: The Sex Scandal That Brought Down a Dynasty (2022), the most watched doc in Hulu history, Cocaine Cowboys: The Kings of Miami on Netflix (2021), 537 Votes (2020) from executive producer Adam McKay on HBO, Screwball (2019) Dawg Fight (2015), Square Grouper: The Godfathers of Ganja (2011), and the ESPN 30 for 30s The U (2009), The U Part 2 (2014) and Broke (2012). HARLEY ELIAS (Playwright) is proud to be making his full-length Miami New Drama debut with Lincoln Road Hustle. His plays include The Handless King (Amphibian Stage, Wild Imaginings, 2024 NNPN Finalist), The Museum Plays (Miami New Drama), Scourge (Brown University), Thug Play (Resonance Ensemble), and 47 Years of Marriage (Samuel French OOB). Upcoming: Bad Dog (World Premiere, Miami New Drama). His work has been supported by residencies at Banff Centre (where he was librettist-in-residence for their Opera in the 21st Century), Sewanee Writers Conference, a Fulbright Grant to India in Playwriting, Atlantic Center for the Arts, Resonance Ensemble, and Sparkfest at Amphibian Stage. He is the winner of the ABC Signature Emerging Playwrights Initiative, Wild Imaginings New Play Award, the Samuel French OOB Award, and a Young Playwrights Award. STEPHEN G ANTHONY (Robert DeLeon), is delighted to be returning to Miami New Drama, having last appeared as Joe Glaser in the pre-Broadway world premiere of A Wonderful World. Other Miami New Drama appearances include 7 Deadly Sins, Confessions of a Cocaine Cowboy, and Our Town. Steve would like to dedicate this performance to his incomparable wife, Ann Anthony, and to the rascally varmints, Rakki and Rozie.

KRISTIAN BIKIC (Cardio), is a Miami native who was last seen here at Miami New Drama in their World Premiere Production of The Cuban Vote (BENJI). You may have also seen him not too long ago in: CLYDE’s (JASON) at Zoetic Stage, #GRACED (Gianni) at Zoetic Stage, and Now and Then (JAMIE) at Actors Playhouse. He is a three-time Carbonell nominee, a Silver Palm Award recipient, a Bouncing Betty Award Recipient (LA), and a Tri-Barrel Film Festival Award Recipient (NYC). MARCELA PAGUAGA (Influencer), is a Cuban American Miami native Actress & Singer. Known for her role as Margarita Maria Mendoza in Miami’s Hit Show, The Amparo Experience, Marcela has been performing since she was 10 years old. She graduated with a BFA in theater from New World School of the Arts and has been working in the industry since. She has recently made her debut on GableStage with the production of LAUGHS IN SPANISH and has signed on with Cultura Media House to present her new podcast From Someone Who Gets It, a podcast about life, mental health and everything in between! “Excited to be working at MiND again with such a talented cast!” social media: @marcelapaguaga @fswgi_

CARMEN PELAEZ (Chef Luna), Macdowell Fellow (23) Commissioned by Miami New Drama, Oolite Cinematic Arts and The

Huntington Theater to create new work. Most recently, her play The Cuban Vote was presented in the Reading Room at the Folger Library in DC. Her essays have appeared in The New York Times, NBC Latino and Huffpo. Constantly inspired by old and new Miami, because cognitive dissonance makes great drama, Carmen always seeks ways to share the stories this incredible city hides in plain sight. Currently, she’s adapting her play, The Cuban Vote, into a screenplay and developing a bilingual television series, Ventanita and Tropical Beasts.

KAELYN AMBERT-GONZALEZ (Marjory). After graduating from the prestigious SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory with a BFA, Kaelyn has planted her roots in Miami, New York, and LA. She is best known for her work in the critically acclaimed short film Pie Mojado. She can also be seen in Angelfish and NBC’s The Blacklist. She made her directorial debut with LAS YUMAS at The Players Theatre. Kaelyn recently starred in The Cancellation of Lauren Fein at Palm Beach Dramaworks. @kaelynagonz

GABRIELL SALGADO (Juan), is thrilled to be back with Miami New Drama for his fourth production, including the 20th Anniversary production of Anna in The Tropics, written and directed by Pulitzer Prize Winner Nilo Cruz. He debuted Off-Broadway last summer in Ronnie Larson’s The Actors at Theater Row. He recently received a Carbonell Award for ‘Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Lead Male Role’ for his work in Zoetic Stage’s production of Clyde’s by Lynn Nottage. After making his professional debut a little over three years ago, he has since starred in over a dozen productions, including Palm Beach Dramaworks’ production of Amy Herzog’s 4,000 Miles, Martin McDonagh’s The Pillowman, Nilo Cruz’s Two Sisters and a Piano, Charise Castro Smith’s El Huracán, Lucas Hnath’s Red Speedo, Hannah Benitez’s Gringolandia, and more. CHRIS ANTHONY FERRER (Juan Alternate) is grateful to be making his Miami New Drama debut. Ferrer is a Carbonell Awardwinning actor and playwright from Miami, Fla. He was last seen in City Theatre’s Summer Shorts: Flipping the Script and is an alumnus of City Theatre’s Homegrown Playwrights Cohort. His play, How to Break in a Glove, will have its world premiere in Miami in 2025, and his screenplay adaptation of The Red Light by Jim Kierstead begins principal photography in February 2025. CARLOS FABIÁN MEDINA

(Entrepreneur), is a multi-hyphenate artist from Caracas, Venezuela. With a background in Philosophy from UCV (Universidad Central de Venezuela) and acting training from Centro TET (Taller Experimental de Teatro), Carlos Fabián boasts a diverse skill set in movement, physical theater, performance and filmmaking. Since relocating to Miami in 2019, he has worked in various productions, collaborating with directors such as Alexey Taran, Carla Forte, Roxana Barba, Teo Castellanos, Moisés Kaufman, and Michel Hausmann. His notable roles include Vivic in Dangerous Days, Juan Miguel González in Elián, Bill Murray in Not Ready for Primetime, Jerry in Swindlers at the Aurora Theatre in Georgia, and an eight-month stint as Ramon Arechabala in The Real Havana Club’s production of Amparo. Additionally, Rene’s talents have been showcased in TV series like Burn Notice, Graceland, and Bloodline, alongside commercial projects for Volkswagen, Amazon, and Toyota. Miami remains his sanctuary, where spending time with family and friends is invaluable. JESSICA FARR (Female Understudy)

is a writer, director, and actor from Miami. She is an alumnus of New World School of the Arts, Fordham University, and Moscow Art Theatre (MXAT). She has developed original

film, television, stage, and radio programming, including Comedy Central’s South Beach Comedy Festival. She is a recent MIA Artist grantee, a participant of the Miami Film Lab Development Series, the Playwriting Development Program, and a TCG Artist Grantee. Jessica has worked for numerous theaters, City Theatre, Signature Theatre, Miami New Drama, Theatre Lab, Juggerknot Theatre Company, GableStage, Palm Beach Dramaworks, Actor’s Playhouse, Miami Theater Center, and Mad Cat Theatre Company. MICHIKO KITAYAMA SKINNER (Costume

Design) Originally from Tokyo, Japan, Michiko has worked in theatre for over 25 years and designed scenery and costumes for theatres, including the Utah Shakespeare Festival, Asolo Repertory Theatre, and Miami New Drama. She has assisted renowned designers such as Paul Tazewell, Martin Pakledinaz, and

Dona Granata on Broadway and other prominent venues. In 2015, Michiko had written, designed, and produced TSUNAMI with Nilo Cruz, a docudrama based on interviews with the victims of the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami. Michiko also produced The Passport Project in 2023 with a Norwegian director, Cliff Moustache. It was an experimental piece written almost without words, telling stories about the post-modern world without national territories and borders. Through her research, Michiko seeks methods to create theatre from visual images instead of words. REBECCA MONTERO (Lighting Designer) is the Technical Theatre Coordinator and Production Manager at NSU University School in Davie, FL. She has a master’s degree in Lighting Design from Florida State University. Rebecca is the resident lighting designer for Zoetic Stage and has been working with them for ten years. She won a Carbonell for her work on Sweeney Todd with Zoetic Stage. This is Rebecca’s first time working with Miami New Drama and in an active outdoor environment. She is excited to collaborate with the amazing team at Miami New Drama and see this production be built from the ground up.

LEONARDO URBINA (Assistant Lighting Designer) is a BFA and MFA recipient for Theatrical Lighting Design at both Florida International University and The University of Florida, with a wide range of lighting designs in an academic setting. Leonardo has begun his venture into lighting for dance and architecture as he believes the artistic properties of light go beyond the stage. Recently, Leonardo was assigned as a lighting consultant for Museum Plays at the Rubell Museum and assistant lighting designer for Dangerous Days at Miami New Drama. Returning as an assistant lighting designer for Miami New Drama, he is excited to work alongside Rebecca Montero and this extraordinary design and performance team. TYLER KIEFFER (Sound Design) is the Assistant Professor of Sound Design and Technology for LSU Theatre. Tyler is a sound designer for new plays, opera, and immersive theatre. He’s been twice nominated for the New York Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Sound Design in 2019 for Will Arbery’s Plano and in 2021 for Tectonic Theater Project’s Seven Deadly Sins. Other recent credits include Cat On a Hot Tin Roof at Le Petit Theatre in New Orleans, Found at the Cork Midsummer Festival in Cork, Ireland, and Of A Mind, a new immersive headphone experience for Oklahoma City Repertory Theater. LEE SOROKO (Fight Choreography)

Lee recently returned from NYC with his Broadway debut, “A Wonderful World,” which began at the New Colony Theatre. He is honored to be part of the MND family and has added his expertise in stage violence since the company’s first production, “The Gollum of Havana.” Lee is a Fight Director and Certified Teacher of Stage Combat with the Society of American Fight Directors who earned his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Texas. He is a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship recipient for his work in character masks and he provides professional fight choreography for theatre, opera companies and universities across America. In South Florida, he has worked with the Florida Grand Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Maltz-Jupiter Theatre, Palm Beach Dramaworks, Zoetic Stage and Slow Burn Theatre. Currently, Lee is the Associate Professor of Movement at Florida Atlantic University. His work has been supported and presented by Bistoury Physical Theater & Film, MiamiDade County Department of Cultural Affairs, Knight Foundation, Miami Light Project, and Locust Projects.

VICTORIA MEJIA (Assistant Stage Manager) is a theatre artist born, raised, and based in Hollywood, FL. A recent graduate BFA Stage Management graduate from University of Miami, her professional credits include Anna In The Tropics and Two Sisters and a Piano (Miami New Drama), The Little Mermaid (Area Stage Company), and Stephen’s Deli: A Love Story (Abre Camino Collective). Favorite academic credits include Urinetown, The Importance of Being Earnest, and The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night-Time. NATALIA DUBÓN (Substitute Stage Manager) is an interdisciplinary creative from El Salvador. Holds a degree in Stage & Theater

Management from the University of Florida. At Miami New Drama, Natalia has embraced various roles, including Sub Stage Manager for Papá Cuatro and The Museum Plays, House Manager for two MiND seasons, and primarily, Education Coordinator. Beyond the theater, Natalia currently serves as the Art Director for BRESH USA, where her artistic vision continues to thrive.

KAREN ESKENAZI (Assistant Director/ Artistic Associate) is a Venezuelan-born theater artist based in Miami. She graduated from Emerson College in 2021 with a degree in Theatre and Performance and Communication Studies. Currently, she serves as the Artistic Associate at Miami New Drama (MiND), where she has Assistant Directed several productions, including The Cuban Vote, Papá Cuatro, and Anna in the Tropics. She has also contributed as an Assistant Director to Yale Repertory Theater’s The Brightest Thing in the World and worked as a Stage Manager for MiND’s Puras Cosas Maravillosas featuring Erika De La Vega. MICHEL HAUSMANN (Director / Artistic Director) is a Venezuelan-born theater director, producer, and writer. He is the cofounder and Artistic Director of Miami New Drama, the resident company and operator of the historic Colony Theatre on Miami Beach. Michel is the book writer and director of The Golem Of Havana, a critically acclaimed original musical that has been produced across the country including a sold-out extended run at the Colony Theatre. Hausmann’s Off-Broadway credits include the New York Premiere of Vassily Sigarev’s Black Milk and the New York premiere of The Color Of Desire by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Nilo Cruz. He was the co-founder and Artistic Director of an award-winning theater company in Venezuela, where he directed over a dozen productions. Michel received a BA from Emerson College and an MFA in Theater Directing from Columbia University. He is a Drama League Award winner, one of the oldest and most prestigious awards in America, New York Theater Workshop 2050 Fellow, an IRNE nominee, a Silver Palm Award winner, Richard Rodgers Award finalist, and a two-time Knights Arts Challenge Award recipient.

NICHOLAS RICHBERG (Managing Director) is a Cuban-American award-winning producer, actor, and nonprofit executive who has received critical acclaim for his broad range of work. Under his executive leadership, Miami New Drama has produced 7 Deadly Sins, The Bridge of San Luis Rey, The Cubans, A Wonderful World, When Monica Met Hillary, The Cuban Vote, Papá Cuatro, Elián, and Anna in the Tropics. He previously served as Managing Director of Zoetic Stage at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, producing numerous world premiere and award-winning plays and musicals. As an actor and director, Richberg has voiced national radio campaigns, appeared on national television, and worked in theaters across the country, including nearly every stage in South Florida, originating numerous roles, including in Confessions of a Cocaine Cowboy at Miami New Drama prior to his tenure as Managing Director. He is a Drama League Award winner, Carbonell Award winner, multiple Silver Palm Award winner, twice named Best Actor by Miami New Times, and was named a Miami

Leader by the Miami Foundation. A Miami native, Richberg is a graduate of Miami Country Day School and University of Miami Frost School of Music. He holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University and an MBA from IE Business School (Madrid) and Brown University.

MIAMI NEW DRAMA is a nonprofit professional theater company based in Miami Beach, Florida, committed to artistic excellence and groundbreaking work, with a vision of theater as a powerful form of social engagement. Miami New Drama is the winner of two Knight Arts Challenge awards and a Knight New Works Miami award from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. It was the 2018 and 2022 Miami New Times Best Theater for Drama and was honored with the Thornton Wilder Prize in 2022.
