Our Core Values
Since this is the time of year everyone talks about setting goals and making New Years resolutions, the following has become my annual reprinting of the article I wrote back in 2012 on the subject. I hope you find it useful______________________________________________________
One secret most people don’t want to talk about when it comes to achieving their goals is the fact that most goals are accomplished by creating the right habits. As Vince Zirpoli, a Management Consultant at www.MegaMarketing.com likes to say“Successful people have the discipline to create the habits that allow them to achieve their goals”.
After you have created a written SMART goal (more on that on page 2) and start to take the steps to achieve it, you quickly come to realize that what you really need to do is create new and different HABITS. Think about the goal of saving $5,000 in a new savings account to be used on Friday, January 17th, 2025 to invest in a ROTH IRA for your retirement.
#1 - Help #2 - Improve #3 - Diversity Our three core values guide-
Why we are Who we are What we do How we do it
To accomplish this goal you will need to open a savings account, and put $416.66 in it each month. How are you going to come up with the $416.66? – the only legal ways I know of are to spend less or earn more. You can take on extra work by changing your HABITS and investing your time differently, using less Facebook, TV, emails etc. and invest that time into a part time job or extra responsibilities at your current job. You can create the Habit of spending less. A great way to do this is to take a set amount from each paycheck and immediately put it in the new savings account. Habits take DISCIPLINE, DETERMINATION, and PERSISTANCE to accomplish. But like everything in life, if you want a different outcome, you are going to need to do something different. That takes WORK. But you can do it if you take the responsibility to create the habits that will allow you to achieve your goals. Even the process of setting goals is nothing more than creating the habit of thinking it through, getting it in writing and taking the steps to achieve it!!!
