The state of being grateful: thankfulness - America Heritage dictionary Gratitude seems so simple from this definition. Yet so powerful and for me, not at all easy. I have a problem with slowing down, I have a problem with constantly wanting to make things better, never satisfied with anything. The desire to improve is a really good thing, but it can get in the way of being grateful, of being happy & present in the moment.

This is a recurring article and each year I take the time to improve it.

Doing so creates a rare opportunity when I slow down and think about the gains I have made instead of focusing on the gaps of where I want to be. This is what Thanksgiving has come to mean for me. Taking the time to understand that it is relationships that define and make for a good life.

The better my relationships the better my life is and will be. I have work to do here…...

Do You Know the Next Person That Will Join Our Team?

Your 2023 Holiday Book Catalog is tucked in with your newsletter. It is full of all kinds of ideas for you and those on your gift list. Here are a few of my specific recommendations: For the Mystery & History Lovers: This historical thriller follows a serial killer as he preys on women in WW2 era Seattle. Why I recommend it: Its new this fall, and comes with a wildly twisty, and well researched plot, so even the most avid readers won’t see the end coming!

For the Hostess with The Mostest: This book has a little bit of everything, from recipes to self care tips, all with Reba’s signature country charm! Why I recommend it: It’s an unique coffee table book for those who love hosting, or that one friend who already seems to have everything they need!

For the 5th-8th graders: Eoin Colfer's lively Christmas escapade is a spirited story told at a dashing pace with laugh-out-loud humor. Why I recommend it: This Christmas Fantasy is sure to keep your kiddo occupied on Christmas eve, so they can stop staring at the clock waiting for morning to arrive.

For the Social Activists & Artists: This graphic novel depicts a unique situation of Japanese and Jewish Americans living side by side in a country at war. Why I recommend it: The intense drawings, muted colors, and emotional subject will appeal to the people in your life who have a lot of passion to share.

One more tip you might try is to leave the catalog out during Thanksgiving as a conversation starter. Take note of what books your loved ones find interesting.— Then you can stop by and show us the list.. Easy way to get some of your holiday shopping done!

I am a firm believer that you, our loyal Client, is the best person to refer and recruit for us. After all you know the person you recommend may be the person that helps you the next time you stop by.

We have two tracks to our hiring, one is for immediate openings. The other is to pre-hire. Pre-hire is for people who what to be a part of the Jerrol’s story but the timing for them or us is not quite right. They go through our process to make sure they would be a good fit, and then we wait until the time is right for them and for us.

Traxxas Remote Control Pre-Holiday Events

Craft of the Month Family Tree Advent Calendar

If a remote control vehicle is on your list this holiday season you are going to want to check out November’s Traxxas promotions.

Growing up, I could not WAIT to open the little window in my advent calendar each morning. I lived in Germany then and everyone had an advent calendars there.

My own children weren't very impressed with opening a little window unless it had chocolate in it. The year one of my children (who shall remain nameless) ate everyone's chocolate out of the calendars in one day...we quit advent calendars altogether.

This year I decided to make my own advent calendar and use old family photos as the surprise inside each window.

Here's what you'll need: Foam Board 24 Envelopes Cardstock Family Photos Full Sheet Labels Printer Tape Hot Glue

On Saturday you will receive a FREE 4 pack of Duracell batteries with each kit purchased for the transmitters.

1. Choose your envelope size and a foam board to fit. I used mini envelopes, 4 across and 6 down. I cut the foam board down with a razor knife.

2. Attach your envelopes together with tape, on the back. Next hot glue the envelopes to the foam board. If you need to trim the foam board you can do it before or after the envelopes are attached.

3. Cut 24 pieces of cardstock to fit into your envelopes.

4. Print out old family photos onto the full sheet labels. I used a photo collage app called "Layout" and printed 9 photos per page. Cut out your photos and stick them to your 24 pieces of cardstock. I wrote names under each picture. (the ones I knew at least) Put a card in each envelope.

5. Print numbers 1-24 on another full sheet label. I found some on Pinterest but you could write your own too. Cut out your numbers and put one in each envelope.

And there you have it. Hope you enjoy it and have a wonderful holiday reminiscing with family.
