The Family on Skis The Williams clan picked up our skis last month and headed to Whitefish Montana for our yearly ski trip. This pilgrimage started when I was knee high to a grasshopper with my cousins and others joining us. Michelle and I kept up the tradition with friends from college and later our kids. This year it was with my mom, my sister Elizabeth and family and of course our daughter Jordan and her family and our son Gerik. My granddaughter Rowan had her first real experience on skis. It didn’t take her more than a few runs on the “magic carpet,” which is anything but magical if you ask me, to decide she wanted to move up to the chair lift. Jordan Rowan with her mom Jordan on her first ride wasn’t convinced that was the best idea but by on a chairlift day three there Rowan was with her mom on the lift. She is now the fourth generation of Williams to be on skis and to share in the love of skiing that all started with my mom and dad. I can just see dad watching down on us as Rowan told her mom she wanted to do more French fries and less pizza. That is beginner skiing talk for going straight down the hill as fast as you can.

Rowan & Jordan on on the slope
Gerik had a great time skiing with the Big Mountain’s adaptive ski program and he took his first ever run with the help of their volunteers to the mid mountain level. There is something special about being able to ski with him.
