Family Pilgrimages
Last month the Williams clan made one of our annual pilgrimages out of paradise to the Ocean at Moclips, WA. This is the earliest we have gone and put us in the middle of Razor Clam season. It is amazing to watch a deserted beach fill up with what looks like thousand of people in the rain digging for clams and then become deserted again in just a few hours.
#1
Four generations made appearances this trip. Rock painting is a family affair on these trips.
I had the opportunity to take granddaughter Rowan out kite flying for her first time. She found a Mickey Mouse kite in the closet of the Beach House and it flew great for her. She did drop the string once and had to chase it down the beach where the handle got stuck in some driftwood.
Our three core values guideWhy we are
Who we are What we do How we do it
I find that these gatherings are a great reminder that life is about family and the relationships you invest your time in.

Art Supply Drive
You can help a kid get a bag of art supplies this month in support of the Investing in Your Future event on May 21st.
Markers Crayons
Watercolor Paint
Paint Pallet
Round Paintbrush
Watercolor Pad
Remember the days when you were a kid and first got the coolest art supplies you could find? How much fun was that! Now you can provide the same fun to kids through our art supply drive! The Kittitas Health Network with sponsorship from Jerrol’s, APOYO, NEAR, and Mountain View Dental will be putting on the Investing in Your Future event on May 21st to encourage education and activities that promote the health of families. This event will have pizza, art activities, and free art supplies. However, we still need the art supplies!
Starting now, Jerrol’s will be running an art supply drive in order to support this event! These supplies will be donated to kids ages 5-13 at the Investing in Your Future event. You can bring in items to donate, put together your own gift bags, or purchase a preassembled art kit for them! With these supplies families will be able to do art and fun activities together, be it watercolor, drawing, coloring or just cutting and pasting.
Let the imaginations soar and the art supply scavenger hunt begin!

Rolf’s Monthly Office Tips
The way you organize your office can have a direct effect on how efficiently you run your office. In particular, office files and folders can become a disorganized mess if you don’t establish a uniform filing system. Once you get your file cabinet, folders and labels, you have a couple of options for organizing your files and folders in a practical manner so that you and your employees can access materials quickly.
Basic Alphabetical Organization
Step 1
Organize your office file folders in a basic alphabetical system if you have a large group of customers or contacts that you need to maintain.
Use standard manila or colored folders to represent each contact.
Step 2
Write each contact's last name, a comma, then the first name on a label and place it on the lip of each folder containing his information.
Step 3
Sort all of your folders by last name and first name if you have two files with the same last name. Insert the alphabetized folders into each drawer of your file cabinet from top to bottom.
Step 4
Label the outside of each drawer by the first letter of the last names contained in that drawer for easy reference. For instance, "A to F," "G to L," "M to R, "S to Z."
Next month we discuss organizing by Category!!
Corrie’s Craft of the Month
Mason Jar StringArt
With Mother's Day just around the corner, here's a perfect project for the mothers in your life.
Supplies:
Piece of wood, cork, or old cutting board
Mason Jar template (@ Jerrol's)
Wire nails (40-50)
Hammer
Yarn
Flowers (real or fake)
Drill (for making a hole at the top)
1. Cut the template in half. Choose if you want to use the one with the number guide or not.
2. Place the template where you want it on your board. Make sure to leave some room at the top for the flowers. (my board is 8.5x11 and is the smallest I would go)
3. Hammer the nails through the paper template and partway through your board. Make sure to not let the nails poke through to the back of your board.
4. Once all the nails are in your board rip off the paper template.
5. Take your yarn and tie a knot around nail one (if you're using the guide) or any nail if you want to make up your own pattern. (which is what I did) Wrap the yarn around each nail in whatever pattern you are doing. There is really no wrong way to do this. Tie off the yarn on your last nail.
6. Arrange flowers in your jar, real or fake works.
7. Drill two holes at the top of your board and use yarn to hang it.
