The First Annual Camellia City Smooth Jazz Festival is the brainchild of Jin Jeans Productions. The festival was conceived with the following goals in mind: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

To grow and broaden the reach of the contemporary smooth jazz music genre. To showcase smooth jazz music as a motivational and educational tool. To capitalize on the expertise and firsthand knowledge of successful, up and coming as well as established musical artists participating in the festival, while also featuring lead-up concert series, training workshops, and panel discussions in conjunction with the Camellia City Smooth Jazz Festival. To encourage, inspire and promote Jazz music to young people with hopes of preserving jazz music and its culture. To partner with local government, social and civic organizations, and the communities in and around the region to bring an event to our area that will provide an annual live musical entertainment outlet that simultaneously has a positive economic impact on the area that will benefit local businesses, select schools and the overall quality of life to the people of the region.

With your sponsorship, Jin Jeans Productions will be able to bring the first, annual Camellia City Smooth Jazz Festival to the banks of Lake Pontchartrain in Slidell, Louisiana on October 7, 2017. Having started on its mission of delivering high-quality entertainment back in 2005 in the hopes of reminding locals of the healing powers of music following Hurricane Katrina, for Jin Jeans Productions, the Camellia City Smooth Jazz Festival represents the next logical step. Those who are lovers of Jazz music will agree to one fact, Jazz music is as important today as it has always been! With that fact in mind, having worked with Jazz artists nationally and internationally, and having attended and investigated every aspect of music festivals such as the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Monterey Jazz Festival, Newport Jazz Festival, Seabreeze Festival, Montreal International Jazz Festival and many more, Jin Jeans Productions is uniquely poised and prepared to produce the Camellia City Smooth Jazz Festival. Our vision for this unique jazz experience will blend nationally renowned jazz artists with local musicians for an exciting fusion of contemporary jazz. This event will proudly feature headliner national recording artists and Grammy nominated Gerald Albright, along with Alex Bugnon, Chieli Minucci, Joey Sommerville, 3rd Force, Steve Oliver, Marcus Anderson, Gerald Veasley, Generation NeXt featuring Nicholas Cole, Lebron and Lin Rountree, not to mention our very own Stephanie Jordan and Bill Summers! The festival added advantage of being located on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain, bounded by three major interstates I-10, I-12, and I-59. Camellia City Smooth Jazz Festival will be perfectly suited to the demographics of the region and will target the following audience demographics: • • •

Income level: Middle Class/Affluent, Professional and Trendsetters Age range: 32-70 years Marital status: Singles as well as married couples

The intent is that targeting these demographics, the economic impact will result at a minimum: • •

Average attendee daily spending: $450.00 (including hotel rooms, restaurants, incidentals) Total expected economic impact to the area: $3.5M the first year

Having already attracted and created a contact list of over 2000 jazz lovers locally with our past Jin Jeans Presents Summer Series, we are convinced we can bring this festival to fruition and promote it beyond our regional borders. Similar jazz festivals have generated anywhere from $6.5M to over $14M in economic impact as they have grown over the years.
