, unfolded in three transformative phases
PHASE 1:
On April 6th, 2024, a virtual session via
Esan delivered an enlightening lecture on "MENTAL HEALTH: A UNIVERSAL HUMAN RIGHT " This engaging session heightened participants' awareness of mental health challenges, underscoring that mental health is a universal human right It also provided valuable resources and support, empowering attendees with knowledge and tools to seek h
PHASE 2: A lively 9km health walk at Jabi Lake/Park in Abuja followed. Participants enjoyed music and dancing, turning the walk into a vibrant celebration while spreading mental health awareness Mental health talks were given in Pidgin, Yoruba, Hausa, and Igbo, ensuring inclusivity. Free medical checkups were provided, including blood pressure, sugar level, malaria, and Hepatitis B tests. Additionally, The Nigerian Red Cross Society trained participants in emergency CPR, enhancing c o m m u n i t y h e a l t h r e s i l i e n c e .
PHASE 3: Reaching out to the Medium Security Custodial Centre, the project aimed to improve mental health awareness and offer dental services to inmates. The team provided counseling, free dental care, and essential toiletries like toothpaste and toothbrushes. Educational books and clothing were donated, and one-on-one counseling sessions addressed individual mental health concerns. The event touched 96 inmates, with 62 registering for dental checkups and 10 receiving private counseling. The day concluded with prayers, refreshments, and h e a r t f e l t i n t e r a c t i o n s
The Mental Health Awareness Project not only raised awareness but also brought tangible medical and emotional support to both the community and inmates, championing the cause that mental health is indeed a universal human right.

The two days training featured a variety of fun filled and memorable activities including: aerobics exercise, football, anonymous messages, valedictory service and most importantly, educational and knowledge packed training sessions.
On the 14th of July, 2024, JCIN University of Ibadan Chapter held its first general assembly for the 2024/2025 Local Organisation year at the Faculty of Agriculture Large Lecture Theatre (LLT). The event was themed “Adaptive Leadership: Developing a Growth Mindset While Navigating Change and Uncertainties ” The theme speaker, Mr Olusaya Martins, a renowned leadership coach and motivational speaker, spoke extensively on the topic. He shared insights on how individuals can cultivate a growth mindset, embrace change, and leverage uncertainties as opportunities for personal and professional growth.
The event was also graced by JC Oladeji Mubeenah Olabisi, Executive vice president administration JCI LAUTECH; JC Fajuyigbe 'Savvy Bolu' Moboluwaji, Director of partnerships and collaborations; JC Emmanuel Idowuand, the erstwhile EVP male; and JC Oyeniyi Isreal, the president of the Renewable N a t u r a l R e s o u r c e s .
Also, all the board members in attendance, were sworn in by the Local Organisation President, Gbemileke Onifade. The President also presented his plan of action before the house. The general assembly came to end around 6pm and it was concluded with the unanimous recitation of the J C I m i s s i o n a n d v i s i o n

The JCI Ikeja Safety and Security Summit 2024 was successfully held on July 14, 2024, at L'eola Hotel Maryland, Lagos.This year's summit, themed "Empowering Digital Citizens: Navigating Cyberbullying and Personal Safety in Public Spaces," attracted a diverse audience committed to enhancing safety and security in our communities.

Benjamin Hundeyin -The Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Command, Benjamin provided valuable insights on "Safe and Secure: Enhancing Personal Safety in Public Spaces and Emergency Preparedness."
His talk focused on practical tips for personal safety, the significance of emergency preparedness, and measures to ensure security in public areas.

In attendance were distinguished guests and JCI Senators, executives and collegiates, JCIN UNILAG members and students of the University of Lagos.
As the sun set and the evening descended, the spotlight shifted to the glitzy and glamorous, Ten Outstanding Person's Awards (TOPA) Ceremony This prestigious event recognized outstanding individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and excellence in their respective fields The ambiance was charged with excitement and camaraderie as the guests, honorees and luminaries came together to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the awardees As the curtains closed, one cannot help but be filled with a sense of optimism and pride. Both events stood as a testament to the power of community and leadership, and also as a source of inspiration for the new generation to dream big and strive for excellence.
