Our scholar in residence program provides direct engagement opportunities with Momentum’s movement in local communities, strengthening connections and providing tools for taking action on behalf of Israel and the Jewish people.
We are honored to welcome Dr. Zohar Raviv, VP of Education for Birthright Israel, as our first Momentum Scholar. His extensive expertise in education and lifelong learning are foundational to this program including: contemporary Jewish identity, Israelworld Jewry relations, and Jewish education in the 21st century. Zohar will not only speak on behalf of Momentum at regional and private events, but he will also help bolster Momentum’s educational development throughout the organization.
Additional scholars are in progress and will be added as this program continues to grow.
Momentum Announces NEW “Scholar in Residence” Program
With this collaborative new program, Momentum is investing in educating and activating Jewish families across the globe in areas such as Israel education and fighting anti-semetism.
To get a taste of Dr. Raviv’s teachings, you can find him featured on the Yomm app, in the educational journey titled “Israel, Narrative and Nation”.
The “Scholar in Residence” program will be guided by Momentum lay and professional leadership, helping to prioritize and direct educational and engagement opportunities.

Advancing the Momentum Year of Growth
In collaboration with our Partner Organizations, we are excited to launch an update to the Momentum Year of Growth guidebook and Post-Mission Educational Resources. These newest adaptations will allow us to better support our trip participants, alumni, and especially our Community Leaders.
Updated educational modules will be more relevant post October 7th and will be available for the May, July, and September trips.
In addition, new content is being curated for the subsequent 6-months post-trip and will be launched with our Partner Organizations in November.

Solidarity and service in the heart of Israel
Jewish mothers and fathers from around the world will embark an unparalleled, eye-opening experience with the soul of Israel, walking the grounds currently shaping our global news media and witnessing the spirit of unity that defines the Jewish homeland.
This special journey of impact will commemorate Yom Ha’zikaron and celebrate Yom Ha’azmaut. Trip participants will have the opportunity to honor the memories of those who fell on October 7th, salute the heroes of the Israeli Defense Force, and applaud the everyday heroes of Israeli society, reinforcing our unity with the Jewish state during this significant moment.
Joining the May Missions is Hollywood filmmaker and world-class Momentum educator, Saul Blinkoff. Saul will lead and guide participants in daily education and reflection as he ties Jewish wisdom and practical tools together, sharing insights on how to support Israel and take action.

Celebrity Voices for Action Elevate Yomm with New Content
Momentum is excited to share “Voices for Action”, the newest video series on the Yomm app launching on May 14.
In this first-of-its kind, candid and intimate conversation, acclaimed actress Debra Messing and singer, actress, and social media activist, Montana Tucker sit together to discuss Jewish advocacy, antisemitism, courage, and hope, all from the perspective of powerful Jewish women taking action since October 7.
Voices for Action aims to foster more honest dialogues, ensuring the global Jewish community feels connected and supported in their shared experiences in this pivotal moment.
