Dragi čitatelji,
Dear readers,
Još jedan zimski broj InterAdria magazina upravo se nalazi u vašim rukama. Ovaj broj obiluje novostima i zanimljivim temama iz svijeta nautike. Nautički segment pokriven je najavama Sessa Marine noviteta za 2012. godinu od kojih smo posebno ponosni na premijerno predstavljanje novog flybridge modela Fly 40; uz njega valja istaći i nove modele Key Largo linije ; Key Largo 34 i Key Largo 27 inboard - verzije sa unutarnjim motorima.
Another winter edition of InterAdria Magazine is published. In this issue we bring you news and interesting topics from the world of navigation. The nautical segment of InterAdria Magazine is covered with the announcements of Sessa Marine novelties for 2012. We are proud to present new Flybridge model - Fly 40, but we should also mention new models of Key Largo line: Key Largo 34 and Key Largo 27 inboard versions.
Kako je i najavljivano u prethodnim brojevima InterAdria Magazina, InterAdria SC krenula je u opremanje svog novog prodajno-izložbenog salona koji će svoja vrata otvoriti u proljeće 2012. Pokazali ste nam da se upornost i trud isplate stoga smo zbog velikog broja upita proširili smještajne kapacitete i otvorili novu halu za skladištenje plovila na suhom. As it was announced in previous issues of InterAdria Magazine, InterAdria SC is equipping its new sales-showroom which will open its doors in spring 2012.. Due to demand of our customers for some extra space for accommodation and care of their vessels, we have expanded the storage capacity with new indoor boat accommodation space. We further improved our web site with even more visually attractive design and upgraded functionality, and introduced new interesting features. Exclusively, in this issue we bring you an interview with Sessa Marine after sales manager Michele Boniardi who visited our service center in Kastav. He explained us the importance of well organized and well trained Service network and introduced us to new procedures of Sessa products Quality control. In the life style corner we will tell you a story about Opatija, an elegant tourist destination with over 160 years of tradition. A famous Opatija’s artist,Tatjana Kostanjević, took us for a walk through Opatija’s parks, to a journey through time in order to become aware of inexhaustible source of inspiration that this city offers. In our new Fashion topic you can find new accessories for this winter. You can travel to past with carob in our gastro corner. From our column “Good to know” we point out useful lesson about anchors, indispensable lawyer’s advice, and some general nautical information that we believe will be of help. World yacht trophy, Zlatno Jedro Sessa Marine osvajanjem prestižnih nagrada za dizajn i konceptualna rješenja potvrđuje uspjeh svojih plovila nastalih u suradnji sa dizajnerom Christianom Grandeom. U zadnje četiri godine tvornica je prikupila zavidan broj nagrada i priznanja za svoje modele tijekom najvažnijih sajmova svijeta. Kolekciji su se ove jeseni pridružila još dva priznanja: Yacht Tropy Design 2011 i Zlatno Jedro 2011.
C 54 osvaja WORLD YACHT TROPHY Yacht magazin svake godine dodjeljuje priznanja za ponajbolje nove jahte koje se ističu svojom posebnošću, revolucionarnim dizajnom i tehnološkim inovacijama u brodogradnji. Nagrada World Yacht Trophy utemeljena je 2002. godine i internacionalno je priznanje najuspješnijim svjetskim brodogradilištima. U svega nekoliko godina svog postojanja ova je nagrada stvorila reputaciju referentnog pokazatelja trendova i uspjeha pojedinih plovila na sve zahtijevnijem tržištu. Ovu prestižnu nagradu na tridesetičetvrtom sajmu nautike u Cannesu osvojilo je i talijansko brodogradilište Sessa Marine za plovilo C 54 u kategoriji „Najbolji dizajn za sportsku jahtu do 24 metra“. Valja napomenuti da je ovo Sessino drugo priznanje nakon nagrade za model C 68 koje je osvojila 2009. godine.
Sessa Marine winning prestigious awards for design and conceptual solutions confirms the success of its boats designed in collaboration with designer Christian Grande. In the last four years the factory has received several awards for its models on the most important fairs of nautical industry in the world. The collection is now expanded on two more awards: Yacht Design Tropy 2011 and Zlatno Jedro - Golden Sails 2011 wich Sessa won this Autumn.
C 54 won WORLD YACHT TROPHY award Yacht magazine awards best new yachts with its unique features, revolutionary design and technological innovation. Yacht Tropy Award was established in 2002; today represents international recognition for all the major shipyards. In a few years of its existence this reward has become a real indicator of trends and the success of certain shipyards and its products on the demanding market. Italian shipyard Sessa Marine won this award at 34th Boat Show in Cannes in September 2011 for boat C 54 in the category “best design for a sports yacht up to 24 meters.” It should be noted that this is a Sessa’s second award in this segment, after award for C 68 in 2009.
Potpredsjednik Sessa Marine Riccardo Radice primio je nagradu tijekom gala večeri gdje se zahvalio cijeloj kompaniji i svim djelatnicima Sesse na predanom radu i trudu koji ih je doveo do osvojene nagrade. Istaknuo je da je želja kompanije i dalje nastaviti sa investicijama u odijelu istraživanja i razvoja, te uzdići ovo talijansko brodogradilište na jedan još viši internacionalni nivo.
Riccardo Radice, Sessa Marine Vice President, received this award during gala dinner. He thanked the entire company, all employees on the contribution they made for achieving such a success. Shipyard’s desire is to continue with the investments in research and development of new products and in that way to spread presence of this shipyard in the higher international level.
Recept uspjeha Cilj tvornice pri dizajniranju modela C 54 je bio jasan: plovilu od 54 stope prenijeti stil i performanse vodeće C 68 i pritom ujediniti sportske karakteristike open modela sa udobnošću i elegancijom jedne jahte. C 54 ističe se istančanim linijama trupa čije su markantne konture naglašene igrom boja - metalizirane srebrne u kontrastu sa hladnim bijelim detaljima i smjelo oblikovanim prozorima koji skladno upotpunjuju vizualnu formu.
Recipes for success The aim of Sessa Marine was clear: give the boat of 54 feet style and performance of leading C 68. Merge sporting characteristics of an open model with comfort and elegance of a yacht. C 54 highlights the refined hull lines which contours are accentuated by striking play of colors - metallic silver in contrast with the cool white detailing and boldly shaped windows, nicely complemented in the visual form of the boat.
Ovo plovilo nudi 3 prekrasne, prostrane kabine. Vlasnička kabina nalazi se u krmenom dijelu broda, a opremljena je luksuznom privatnom kupaonicom i spa kutkom sa kromoterapijom. Kuhinja je smještena na donjoj palubi kako bi se što više prostora osiguralo u salonu koji postaje središte događanja na brodu. Za potpunu funkcionalnost otvorenog prostora ova jahta je dizajnirana po konceptu „walk-around“ koji omogućuje jednostavan pristup krmenoj palubi na kojoj dominira stol sa 8 sjedećih mjesta, te sunčalištu na pramcu broda. C 54 predstavlja idealno mjesto za provod nezaboravnog ljeta.
This boat has all characteristics of a yacht: 3 beautiful cabins; the owner cabin located in the stern of the vessel equipped with private luxury bathroom and spa corner with chromotherapy. The kitchen is located on the lower deck to ensure more space in the saloon, which becomes the center of events on board. For full functionality of open space, this yacht is designed by the concept of “walk-around” that allows easy access to the aft deck where a large table with 8 seats dominates and a sun deck on the bow of the vessel. C 54 represent ideal place for an unforgettable summer.

Međunarodnom nautičkom sajmu u Rijeci koji je bio održan od 21. do 25. rujna 2011. godine Sessa Marine osvojila je nagradu „ Zlatno jedro“ za plovilo Key Largo One. Ovu nagradu svake godine dodjeljuje poseban ocjenjivački odbor Međunarodnog nautičkog sajma „Nautica“, te među brojnim izlagačima odabire dobitnike najviših priznanja sajma. Kao jedan od najkvalitetnijih izložaka u segmentu manjih plovila izloženih na sajmu, Key Largo One je svojim jedinstvenim dizajnom zaslužio dobiveno priznanje. Plovilo dugačko svega 5,77 metara možda nema kabinu, ali ima dovoljno mjesta za zabavu. Ističe se prostranim sunčalištem, praktičnim biminijem čije je kućište skriveno u pramcu broda, te posebno dizajniranom upravljačkom konzolom i bojama trupa.
This year the jury of 27th “Nautica” - International Nautical Fair of Rijeka awarded the boat Key Largo One with “Zlatno jedro” as the best boat of the show in the segment of smaller boats. Each year a special jury of “Nautica” - International Nautical Fair of Rijeka selects the best exhibits and best exhibitors which are awarded with “Zlatno Jedro” in certain segments of the nautical offer of the Show. Key Largo One with its only 5.77 meters in length may not have the cabin but it has enough place for unforgettable fun on board. With its spacious sundeck, bimini that is hidden under the forward sunpad and coloured control console and special hull colours this boat will be noticed for sure.

S ciljem pružanja što potpunije usluge na tržištu InterAdria SC je u sklopu djelatnosti smještaja, čuvanja i održavanja plovila proširila svoje smještajne kapacitete na još jednu zatvorenu smještajnu halu za skladištenje plovila. Nova smještajna hala prostire se na površini od 500 m2, a nalazi se u Matuljima u sklopu Skladišnog centra Matulji, 43. istarske divizije 22 a; svega 3 km udaljenom od Servisnog Centra InterAdrie. Ondje je omogućen smještaj plovila u kompletno zatvorenom prostoru što predstavlja idealne uvjete za pravilno skladištenje plovila; ne izlažući ih pritom nepovoljnim atmosferskim utjecajima.

It is necessary to be online today. Internet is one of the most important tools of promotion and company’s web site presents one of the crucial elements of its image on the market. InterAdria has redesigned its web site with the aim of providing the most attractive content for both current and future clients.
Kao i uvijek za InterAdriu je skladna, funkcionalna i vizualno atraktivna web stranica na prvom mjestu, što je potvrdila i nagrada Sessa Marine za dizajnersko rješenje. Novelties introduced by redesign are the improved visual form, new facilities such as a press center where you can find articles from a variety of media writing about us, goodies segment where the download of wallpapers, photos and vide clips is provided. We have created newsletter application menu and profiles on social networks as a form of direct interaction. It should be emphasized that since mid-January 2012 web site is available in three languages. To the existing - Croatian and English; we now added German. Ivica Kostelić Nastavlja svoju adrenalinsku avanturu Continues his adrenaline adventures Nakon uspješne avanture osvajanja Malte ekspedicijom “Corto Maltese“ 2010. godine, Ivica Kostelić, vrhunski hrvatski skijaš planira novi poduhvat – osvajanje Grčke i grčkih otoka. Ivica će se na put ponovno otisnuti gumenjakom Mar-Co opremljenim Yamaha vanbrodskim motorom. Plovit će turom drevnih moreplovaca stare Grčke i Rima koji su ove puteve davno obilježili. Ivičin plan je uz hrvatsku , crnogorsku i albansku obalu doći do Grčke, te oploviti Peloponeski poluotok. Proputovanje do same Grčke vještom moreplovcu ne predstavlja nikakav problem budući de je ovaj put dobro upoznao prilikom plovidbe na Maltu. Nakon ulaska u Grčku cilj je pratiti njenu obalu; proći Korintski zaljev, upoznati jonske otoke i čari drevne Grčke. U cijeloj ovoj avanturi, ponovno će ga podržati i pratiti tehnički tim InterAdriie , kako bi osigurao da sve prođe u najboljem redu. After a successful adventure of conquering Malta with expedition “Corto Maltese“ in 2010, Ivica Kostelić, a famous Croatian skier planned a new adventure – conquest Greece and the Greek islands. On this trip Ivica will once again use the inflatable boat MarCo equipped by Yamaha outboard engine. He will navigate the ancient sea tour that Greece and Rome navigators passed long time ago.

His plan is to sail Croatian, Montenegro and Albanian coast and come to Greece and than make a circle around the Peloponnesian Peninsula. Trip to Greece is not a problem for a skillful navigator because he has enough experience from the last voyage to Malta. After entering Greece, his goal is to follow the Greek coastline; pass the Corinthian Gulf, Ionian Islands and get to know the magic of ancient Greece. Throughout this adventure Ivica Kostelić will be supported by InterAdria technical team, to ensure that everything goes right. The logic underlying creation of the network goes beyond commercial considerations, aiming to guarantee broader coverage capable of responding to boat owners’ specific needs while at sea.

Sessa University s ciljem predstavljanja novih proizvoda i ugradbenih komponenti. Thanks to its big experience in designing small boats, Sessa developed an outstanding ability to make optimal use of all available space on board: a huge fly with dinette, galley and sunbath; a large cockpit, two cabins and two separate bathroom, a very lightly main deck and, as always, finest materials and furnishings all fit within only 40 feet. The decision to bring the galley onto the upper deck in a space that is perfectly defined by colors to permit optimal visual integration allowed the shipyard to make room for three cabins furnished with double beds and two bathrooms with separate showers below deck.

Prostor flybridgea omogućuje postavljanje stola i kutne garniture za 8 do 10 osoba, a sofa koja se nalazi lijevo od pilotskog sjedala kada se makne zaslon za leđa pretvara se u prošireno sunčalište na pramcu fly-a.
Sessa demonstrates its ability to innovate once again in the stern, with two uprights reminiscent of super yacht architecture forming a big ‘‘window over the sea’’ with an openwork shade to provide shelter from the sun and from curious eyes, so that it is possible to dine outside without attracting unwanted attention. Such an ergonomic and complete flybridge has never been seen on a 45 foot yacht. On the Fly, truly outstanding optimization of space permits installation of a table and a corner sofa for 8-10 guests (in addition to the people navigating the boat), a sofa to the left of the pilot’s seat, which, when the backrest is moved, can also be used to extend the big sundeck in the bow of the fly.

The Fly 45 the Sessa Marine’s seventh boat with IPS drive, definitely uncommon in this type of vessel. It is a technologically mature product concentrating all the experience the shipyard has acquired in hull design, weight distribution, choice of construction materials and selection of fittings. In addition, Sessa Marine’s technical office has formed a partnership with the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Brescia University to work on development of new solutions for decreasing the level of noise and vibrations perceptible onboard. Moreover, the technical innovations previously implemented on the latest model in the yacht range, the C48, also appear on the FLY 45, benefiting from the experience the company has gained. These innovations include a hydraulic platform - a useful aid for getting into the water, snorkeling and launching sea toys. The latest-generation F115 is yet another example of this philosophy in action. Proven technology. Improved upon. The F115 keeps its well proven DOHC, 1741cc, in-line 4-cylinder, 16-valve format, but by introducing a range of new parts and re-designing the fuel and air-intake systems, as well as the engine cowling, Yamaha have created an outboard that’s not only more efficient, but lighter too. Here’s how: • New Intake Throttle – improves engine response. The new single throttle valve replaces the original four valve set-up and works in combination with the ECM to increase fuel efficiency and deliver quicker acceleration and throttle response under all engine operating conditions.

U smislu pozitivnih propisa RH, boravkom stranca se smatra: 1. boravak do 90 dana, 2. privremeni boravak, 3. stalni boravak. Nautičari najčešće koriste boravak do 90 dana odjednom, što se smatra da je pokriveno ulaskom radi turističke svrhe. Ponovnim dolaskom na plovilo se smatra novim ulaskom u RH te boravak može trajati do 90 dana. Za sada, hrvatski neovisni sistem od organizacije unutar EU, ima svoje prednosti i mane. Njegova najveća mana je da prelazak preko granice zahtjeva posebni postupak utvrđenja identita kako osoba tako stvari i prevoznih sredstava. Dobra stvar je da, zahvaljujući međunarodnoj konvenciji o privremenom uvozu (Istambulskoj konvenciji), prelazak sa vlastitim ili iznajmljenim vozilima ili plovilima preko granične crte predstavlja vrlo jednostavnu carinsku proceduru koju ponekad putnici- nerezidenti ni ne osjete prilikom ulaska ili izlaska iz Hrvatske. Osim toga, može se koristiti tax free sistem kod kupovine robe u Hrvatskoj jer PDV iznosi 23% što nije zanemarivo.

We have just entered into the first days of another new year, 2012, and the navigation within the territorial sea of Croatia is still outside the system of the shared borders with another countries of the European Union, and it will be namely until July 15, 2013. In the sense of the positive regulations of the Republic of Croatia, the stay of foreigners is deemed: 1. the stay for the duration not exceeding 90 days, 2. temporary stay, 3. permanent stay. The boaters usually use the option of the stay for the duration not exceeding 90 days at one time and this is regarded as covered with the entry to the country for tourist purposes. Another arrival to stay onboard a boat is regarded as new entry to Croatia and a person may stay for a period up to 90 days. For a moment, Croatian system which is independent from the organization in effect in the European Union has its advantages and disadvantages. Its major disadvantage is the requirement that the crossing of a state border necessitates special procedure of identifying both persons and goods and means of transport. The merit is however that thanks to the international Convention on Temporary Admission, the crossing of a border by owned or leased vehicles or vessels represents very simple customs procedure usually very painless for passengers – nonresidents when they enter to or depart from Croatia. In addition to that, tax free system may be used when goods are bought in Croatia. As VAT is currently 23%, this is not irrelevant. Foreign nationals who come by foreign vessels intended for sport and pleasure and who use such vessels for their accommodation in Croatia must report their stay to the police station competent for the control of state borders in the port where they proceed with the border control when entering into the Republic of Croatia. At that occasion they should have required documents for the crew and the vessels. We have already written about the documents necessary for the vessel. The documents required for the crew are the following: a) the captain or master of the vessel is obliged for the purpose of navigation within the international sea and inland waters present on time i.e. when arriving to such waters

a) Zapovjednik ili voditelj plovila u međunarodnom pomorskom prometu i međunarodnom prometu na unutarnjim vodama dužan je, prije predviđenog polaska kao i po dolasku plovila,pravovremeno predati tijelu granične kontrole popis putnika i članova posade koji sadrži: ime i prezime, datum rođenja, mjesto rođenja, državljanstvo, broj i vrstu isprave propisane za prelazak državne granice.(popis posade) b) Posjedovati putnu ispravu ili drugu ispravu koja služi za prelazak državne granice ili vizu Državljani država članica Europske unije, država potpisnica Schengenskog sporazuma, Kneževina Andora, Kneževina Lihtenštajn, Kneževina Monako, Republika San Marino, Švicarska Konfederacija i Država Vatikanskog Grada, Slovenija, Italija,Mađarska, i Bosna i Hercegovina, mogu, osim s valjanom putnom ispravom, u Republiku Hrvatsku ući i s valjanom osobnom iskaznicom, odnosno odgovarajućom ispravom o identitetu s fotografijom matične države. c) Zapovjednici jahta dužni su najkraćim plovnim putem uploviti u najbližu luku u kojoj se nalazi pomorski granični prijelaz, radi obavljanja granične kontrole d) Prilikom prelaska državne granice, građani koji za svoje potrebe nose uz sebe lijekove koji sadrže psihotropne tvari dužni su lijekove i liječničku dokumentaciju pokazati graničnoj policiji. e) Kod prenošenja oružja i strjeljiva preko državne granice, građani su navedeno obavezni prijaviti graničnoj policiji. f ) Zaštićene vrste biljaka i životinja koje su zabranjene za prijenos preko državne granice ili im je promet ograničen, utvrđene su u Zakonu o zaštiti prirode. U slučaju da strano plovilo koje je zbog više sile ili nevolje na moru prisiljeno skloniti se u unutarnje morske vode Hrvatske, dužan je o tome odmah obavijestiti najbližu lučku kapetani-
c) masters of the vessels must sail by the shortest possible route to the nearest port where there is a border crossing and proceed with the formalities of border control. d) when crossing state border, persons bearing for their own purposes medications containing psychotropic substances must present such medications and supporting medical documents to the border police officers. e) if arms and ammunition are brought across the borders, persons must report them to the border police officers. f ) protected sorts of plants and animals subject to the prohibition of transport across the borders or limited tra nsport are listed in the Nature Protection Act. In case if a foreign vessel is due to force major or accident on sea forced to enter into the territorial sea waters of Croatia, its master must immediately advise thereof the nearest port authority or its branch; such authority shall then advise of such case the competent police authority. Before such vessel enters in the international sea port or international port located in the inland waters, the competent border police authority shall make security evaluation (taking into consideration the navigation route of such vessel, port of origin and ports where a vessel stayed during its journey, security migration risk and other circumstances) and then perform immediately and in accordance with such evaluation the control of all passengers and crew members. (sumnja na kazneno dijelo i slično) Posebni propisi uređuju ponašanje u lukama nautičkog turizma, ako je nerezident prvi puta došao na plovilo na kojem će biti smješten. Posada mora biti prijavljena u roku od 12 sati od pružanja usluge smještaja; Pravna i fizička osoba koja iznajmljuje plovilo strancu, kada se plovilo preuzima na mjestu gdje se vez ne naplaćuje – u roku od 12 sati od preuzimanja plovila; zbog toga se ne može koristiti za dulji boravak ili ostaviti plovilo u gradskoj lučici iako je to cjenovno povoljnija varijanta, jer se time krše propisi o boravištu stranaca kao i carinski propisi koji govori o skladištenju privremeno uvezenih plovila radi korištenja u nautičkom turizmu. Kod prelaska granične crte ribarskim plovilom, primjenjuju se striktnija pravila kako bi se izbjeglo nezakonito ribarenje i onemogućio ilegalni prelazak osoba i stvari na tim plovilima. Odnedavno u Hrvatskoj postoji i Obalna straža. Njena temeljna zadaća zaštita suverenih prava i provedba jurisdikcije RH u zaštićenom ekološko-ribolovnom pojasu, epikontinentalnom pojasu i na otvorenu moru (kao sastavnog dijela Hrvatske ratne mornarice), i od nje se očekuje aktivna uloga u traganju i spašavanju na moru. U tu aktivnost su uključena 52 plovila Ministarstva mora, prometa i infrastrukture, 38 plovila Ministarstva unutarnjih poslova te zračne jedinice MUP-a i MORHa. Po potrebi se uključuju tegljačke i ekološke jedinice, te plovila i zrakoplovi u privatnom vlasništvu. Svaki zapovjednik bi trebao biti upoznat sa popisom luka za međunarodni promet koje su otvorene u svim većim obalnim gradovima te sezonske koje se otvaraju na mjestima gdje je najkraći put prelaska iz susjednih zemalja ( Italija, Crna gora, Slovenija) u Hrvatsku. Osim toga, važno je podsjetiti kapetane, da plovilo s kojim su ušli u Hrvatsku ( bilo morem ili kopnom) moraju vratiti izvan granice Hrvatske u roku 18 mjeseci bez obzira da li se oni nalaze u moru ili na kopnu u marinama. Plovilo je kao prevozno sredstvo privremeno uplovilo sa njegovim korisnikom te isto tako mora sa korisnikom i izaći sa teritorija RH. Naravno, ono se može isti dan vratiti ponovno u Hrvatsku na slijedeći period zakonski period. Želim Vam mirni i jednostavni prelazak granice i mirno more za korištenje ljepote Jadrana.
of a vessel shall be made only if legal prerequisites have been met for such inspection (in case of suspicion that a criminal offense has been involved or similar). Special regulations apply to the conduct in ports intended for nautical tourism, if a non-resident has arrived for the first time onboard a vessel where he or she will be accommodated. The crew must be reported to the competent authority within the period of 12 hours from the provision of accommodation service. Legal of natural person leasing a vessel to a foreign national, when a vessel is taken over on a location where a berth is not charged, must be reported within the period of 12 hours again from the moment when a vessel has been taken over. This is the reason why such vessel cannot be used for a longer period of stay or left in a small local port although this is more advantageous variant in terms of prices. Otherwise, in such a manner the regulations on stay of foreign nationals and customs regulations applying to warehousing of temporary admitted vessels for the purpose of using them in nautical tourism would be breached. In case of fishing boats crossing the state border, more stringent regulations are applied in order as to prevent illegal fishing and fight unauthorized entry of persons and goods on board such boats. Lately in Croatia there is also the Coast Guard. The Coast Guard’s principal mission is to protect sovereign rights and carry out Croatia’s jurisdiction in the Ecological and Fisheries Protection Zone, the continental shelf and the high seas (in its capacity of a division of the Croatian Navy). It has also an active role in monitoring, tracking and providing assistance at sea. Such activities are carried out by 52 vessels of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, 38 vessels of the Ministry of the Interior and by air forces of the Ministry of the Interior and Ministry of Defense. If necessary, towboats and ecological units and private vessels and aircrafts are also included in the activities of the Coast Guard. Each master should be aware of the regulations effective for the ports intended for international traffic available in all major coast cities and for those which are open only during summer seasons on the locations which are nearest to the shortest routs leading from the neighboring countries to Croatia (Italy, Montenegro, Slovenia). Also, it is important to remind the masters of the vessels that they are obliged to return the vessels which have entered to Croatia (whether by sea or land) outside the Croatian borders within the period of 18 months notwithstanding whether such vessels would be located in sea or on land in marinas. A vessel as a means of transport has entered to Croatia temporarily with its owner and thus must leave together with its owner the territory of the Republic of Croatia. Of course, it may return back to Croatia on the same day and stay for another period of time prescribed by law. I wish you peaceful and simple crossing of the Croatian borders, as well as calm sea in order as to fully enjoy the beauties of the Adriatic Sea.

Opatija je svoj razvoj započela gradnjom crkvice Svetog Jakova i pripadajućeg samostana u 15. stoljeću. Danas je ovaj kompleks smješten u prekrasnom perivoju botaničkog parka, koji predstavlja jedno od od najvećih prirodnih bogatstava današnje Opatije; na površini od 3.64 ha, udomljuje oko 150 različitih biljnih vrsta koje većinom potječu iz dalekih krajeva zahvaljujući vještim moreplovcima koji su ih donosili sa svojih putovanja. Ovdje je svoj dom uz poznatu magnoliju pronašla i japanska kamelija (Camellia japonica) i postala jednim od simbola grada. Početkom razvoja Opatije u elitno odmaralište smatra se 1844. godina kada je sagrađena vila Angiolina, jedna od najljepših građevina rivijere koja je kroz povijest ugostila mnoge ugledne ličnosti. Ova prekrasna vila bila je središnje mjesto zabave tadašnje elite, a danas se u njoj nalazi Muzej turizma. Iste godine otvoren je i Grand Hotel Kvarner, najstariji hotel na Jadranu, poznat kao omiljeno mjesto boravka europskih kraljeva i careva Austro-Ugarske monarhije. 1889. godine Opatija je službeno proglašena prvim morskim lječilištem na Jadranu, te je tu reputaciju zadržala i do danas. Osim šetnje raskošnim parkovima i obalnom šetnicom Lungomare dugom 12 km, Opatija se može pohvaliti bogatom povijesnom baštinom, te brojnim kulturnim i povijesnim znamenitostima. Opatija was born from the church of St. James and the monastery, first mentioned in the mid-15th century. The church and the monastery are located in a beautiful botanical garden with an area of 3.64 hectares divided into 60 fields. About 150 plant species have been planted, mostly brought from distant countries. Along with the beautiful magnolia, the most famous among them is the Japanese camellia (Camellia japonica), which eventually became the symbol of Opatija. A period of great progress begun in 1844 when a beautiful building was built, Villa Angiolina. Once a central place of entertainment for the aristocracy in that period; now restored as Museum of tourism. In the same year, the Grand Hotel Kvarner opened, the oldest hotel on the Adriatic coast, known in that period as the favorite place of European kings and emperors of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. In 1889 Opatija was officially recognized as the first spa resort on the Adriatic Sea, holding up this reputation up today. Apart from walking trough beautiful parks and the seaside promenade 12 km long, Opatija can be proud of its rich historical heritage and numerous cultural and historical monuments. Parks, promenades, beaches, and villas keep the secrets of many romantic love stories, from the Viennese Court to those of the common folk. In memory of a young couple who lost their lives at sea during a storm, a Madonna sculpture-work of Hans Rathausky - was erected on a promontory.

Tu je i bista Draga Gervaisa poznatog čakavskog književnika koji je Opatiji ostavio zbirku pjesama na čakavštini, nekoliko dramskih tekstova i pripovijesti. Danas ovu jedinstvenu cjelinu upotpunjuju brojna kulturna i gastronomska događanja. Opatija se u proljeće prisjeća svoje povijesti uz Mea Festival - manifestaciju koja posjetiteljima dočarava godine kada su Opatijom šetali austrijski car Franjo Josip I, carica Sissi, skladatelj Gustav Mahler te nobelovac Henryk Sienkiewiecz, dok prvog vikenda u srpnju ugošćuje svjetsku elitu jazza pretvarajući ulice i terase u pozornice s kojih odjekuju zvukovi dobre glazbe. Početak prosinca u Opatiju već tradicionalno donosi Festival čokolade, dok su siječanj i veljača rezervirani za veliku Karnevalsku povorku, kada cijeli grad postaje jedna velika rasplesana kostimirana pozornica.

In 1956 it was replaced by the statue of a girl with a sea gull, a work of the sculptor Zvonko Car and became one of the recognizable tourist symbols of Opatija. Nearby is also the bust of Drago Gervais, a famous writer who dedicated to Opatija a collection of poems in the Chakavian dialect, several dramas and short stories. Today this unique complex is completed by a number of cultural and gastronomic events. In spring Opatija is remembering its history with the Mea Festival- a costumed manifestation presenting the years when famous aristocracy, like the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I, Empress Sissi, the composer Gustav Mahler, and Nobel Prize winner Henryk Sienkiewiecz, used to walk along Opatija. During the first week-end in July Opatija hosts the world jazz elite and turns into a Croatian jazz oasis, when promenades, streets and terraces become stages with good musical melodies filling the air. The beginning of December in Opatija traditionally starts with the Chocolate Festival, while January and February are traditionally reserved for the big carnival parade, when the whole city turns into one big dancing costumed stage.

Opatijska umjetnica Tatjana Kostanejvić povela nas je u šetnju opatijskim perivojima i uvela u putovanje kroz vrijeme kako bi spoznali neiscrpno vrelo inspiracije koju ovaj grad pruža.
A famous Opatian artist, Tatjana Kostanejvić, took us for a walk trough Opatija’s parks and introduced us into a journey through time in order to recognize an inexhaustible source of inspiration that this city offers.
Mnoge skulpture Tatjane Kostanjević krase interijere, vrtove, parkove, javne površine diljem Hrvatske. Diplomirala je kiparstvo na Zagrebačkoj akademiji likovnih umjetnosti 1988. godine. Kao samostalni umjetnik živi u Opatiji i za svoj grad izradila je i postavila niz skulptura u bronci.
Many of Tatjana’s sculptures adorn interiors, gardens, parks, public spaces all over Croatia. Tatjana Kostanjević graduated sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in 1988. in Zagreb. She lives in Opatija and works as an independent artist, where she developed and set up a series of sculptures in bronze.
Skulpture Tatjane Kostanjević odlikuju se životnošću, gipkošću, pokretnošću i elegancijom; neovisno radi li se o medaljama, portretima u bronci ili figurama. Krenimo dakle u šetnju od Voloskog prema Opatiji u razgledavanje njenih skulpura: Gradsku vijećnicu krasi brončani tondo grba grada Opatije. Istaknutim se Opatijcima kao nagrade Grada dijele srebrne medalje s likom sv. Jakova, zaštitnika Opatije, rad akademske kiparice Tatjane Kostanjević. Na obalnom putu između Voloskog i Opatije postavljen je brončani reljef s portretom Heinricha von Littrowa. Zanimljivo je da je Heinrich von Littrow osnivač jedriličarskog kluba u Opatiji, bio je pomorski časnik, direktor Nautičke akademije u Trstu i da je uveo reljefni prikaz nautičkih karata. Sve je to sažeto u jednom brončanom portretu koji je kiparica izradila, a kapljice morske vode ispatinirale su reljef u zeleno…
Tatjana’s sculptures are characterized by vitality, agility and elegance, whether in the form of medals, portraits or figures in bronze. So let’s start our walk from Volosko to Opatija on a tour of discovering her sculptures: The City Hall is decorated with bronze tondo blazon of Opatija. A silver medal with the effigy of St. James, the patron of Opatija, work of the academic sculptor Tatjana Kostanjević, is used by the City counsel as an award for Opatija’s citizens for great achievements. On the coastal walk between Volosko and Opatija a bronze relief portrait of Heinrich von Littrow is placed. Heinrich von Littrow, founder of the sailing club in Opatija, was a naval officer, director of the Nautical Academy in Trieste, introduced hatchings of nautical charts. This tail is summed up in a bronze portrait done by Tatjana which due to the influence of sea and seawater splash got special green colored cover which emphasizes this historical story.

Ključna riječ vezana za skupture Tatjane Kostanjević je pokret koji se najbolje očituje u Skulpturi u čast velikoj reformatorici plesa Isadori Duncan postavljenoj ispred Ville Amalija, na mjestu gdje je svjetski poznata balerina svojedobno boravila. Svojim pokretom kip svjedoči kako se plesačica inspirirala treptajem palmi na vjetru. Kao dobar poznavaoc plesne umjetnosti i plesnih aksioma Tatjana je u tu skulpturu ugradila osim pokreta i elemente glazbe. Antun Pavlovič Čehov dobio je svoju bistu ispred poznatog hotela Kvarner. Umjetnica je vjerno oblikovala karakter intelektualca koji proučava pejzaž kroz svoj monokl. Opatija je oduvijek svojom ljepotom privlačila mnoge umjetnike koji su tu nalazili svoju inspiraciju. Tako je i Gustav Mahler boraveći u Ville Jeannette dovršavao svoju Četvrtu simfoniju. U Mahlerovu čast postavljen je reljef s njegovim likom. “Opatijo bajna” pjevao je Ivo Robić na terasi hotela Kvarner i dobio svoju bistu. Brončani tondo sa svojim portetom dobio je i kardiolog dr. Čedomil Plavšić, osnivač lječilišta Thalassotherapie u Opatiji. Tragom skulptura, pogotovo Violiniste i one posvećena Isadori Duncan, obišli smo atelje opatijske kiparice. Njezin novi ciklus pod nazivom Terpsihore, muze plesa govore kako je Opatija neiscrpna ispiracija za umjetnike kako nekad tako i danas. Evo što nam je kiparica ispričala o svom novom ciklusu:

The key word related to Tatjana Kostanjević sculptures is movement which manifests the best in the sculpture honored to the great dancer, Isadora Duncan. This statue is placed in front of Villa Amalia, where the world-famous ballerina once resided. With its movements the statue testifies that the dancer was inspired by palm trees on windy days. As a connoisseur of dance art, Tatjana embeded in the sculpture movements and elements of music. Anthony Chekhov got his bust in front of the famous Hotel Kvarner. The artist shaped the character of an intellectual studying the landscape through his monocle. Opatija, by its beauty, has always attracted many artists in seek of inspiration. Gustav Mahler while staying in the Ville Jeannette completed his fourth symphony. In his honor a relief was set in front of the Villa. “Opatijo bajna” Ivo Robic sung on the terrace of the Hotel Kvarner and got his bust. Even the cardiologist Dr. Čedomil Plavsic, founder of the Thalassotherapy health center in Opatija got bronze tondo including his portrait . “Ciklus Terpsihora nastao je kao razmišljanje o urbanim skulpturama velikih dimenzija koje bi se postavile u parkove, šetnice uz more, kao interaktivne, zanimljive, vesele skulpture. Jednako tretirajući urbanu skulpturu velikih dimenzija i galerijsku skulpturu odnosno skulpturu za interijere, nastao je ciklus pod nazivom Terpsihore, brončane skulpture visine oko 70 cm. Premda su nazvane Terpsihore – muze plesa, ključna obilježja su ritam i energija. Ponovno je riječ o pokretu u skulpturi i lociranju pokreta u prostor. Terpsihore svojim izgledom pobuđuju razne asocijacije: ritualne, divlje, erotične, animalističke, modne…” Nismo se mogli otrgnuti dojmu da je to nastavak plesa Isadore Duncan, te nadahnuti umjetničkom inspiracijom, sad uviđamo istinsko blago koje ovaj grad posjeduje i čime se mi kao stanovnici i posjetitelji možemo i trebamo ponositi.

Here’s what the artist told us about her new cycle: “Cycle Terpsihore was born as a reflection on urban sculptures of large dimensions, to be set up in parks and promenades along the sea, as interactive, interesting, fun sculptures. Equally treating urban sculptures of large dimensions, gallery sculptures and sculptures for the interior, a cycle called Terpsihore, came to light, with bronze sculptures of about 70 cm height. Although they are called Terpsihore - dance muses, key features are rhythm and energy. Again, it is about movement in sculpture and locating movement in space. Terpsihore by its appearance evokes different associations: ritual, wild, erotic, animalistic, fashion…” We could not tear away the impression that this is a continuation of Isadora Duncan’s dance. Inspired by art, we now discover the true treasure of Opatija and what we, as citizens or visitors can and should be proud of.

Liburnijski mornari u osvajanju Sjevernog pola Liburnian sailors in the North Pole expedition Ekspedicija je to tijekom koje je otkriven dotad nepoznat morski arhipelag. Priča je to o Liburnijskim mornarima koji su postali nacionalni simboli kada su se 1872. godine brodom Tegetthoff otisnuli u istraživanje neotkrivenih prostranstava dalekog Sjevera s ciljem pronalaska puta do Beringovog prolaza. Put je to u nepoznato za hrvatske članove posade iz Liburnije: Jakova Sučića iz Voloskog, Franu Letiša iz Opatije, te Vicka Palmića iz Lovrana. It was an expedition during which an unknown archipelago was discovered. This is a story about Liburnian sailors who became national symbols after they had set sails on Tegetthoff in 1872 to explore the unknown areas of far away North Pole in order to find the passage to Bering Strait. It was a travel into the unknown for Croatian crew from Liburnia: Jakov Sučić from Volosko, Frano Letiš from Opatija and Vicko Palmić from Lovran. Posada jedrenjaka Tegetthoff, dio koje su bili i Jakov Sučić iz Voloskog, Frano Letiš iz Opatije, te Vicko Palmić iz Lovrana, sudjelovala je u znanstveno - istraživačkoj ekspediciji na Sjeverni pol koju su od 1872. g. do 1874. g. predvodili Julius Payer i Carl Weyprecht. Zbog velike sante leda koja je okovala jedrenjak Tegetthoff, ekspedicija je bila primorana na „plutanje“ sjevernim prostranstvima nošena strujama. Tijekom svog dvogodišnjeg boravka na području oko Sjevernog pola, čla-

The crew of the sailing boat Tegetthoff, the members of which were Jakov Sučić from Volosko, Frano Letiš from Opatija and Vicko Palmić from Lovran, participated in the scientific expedition to the North Pole from 1872 to 1874 led by Julius Payer and Carl Weyprecht. Due to Tegetthoff being locked in pack-ice, the expedition drifted to hitherto unknown polar regions carried by a current. During these two years they spent in the Arctic, members of the expedition did a lot of

Tijekom polarne ekspedicije otkrivena su i nova kopnena područja dotad neoznačena na kartama. Dana 12.travnja 1874. g. stigli su na 82. stupanj sjeverne geografske širine, odnosno otkrili su najsjeverniju točku na koju je do tada stupila ljudska noga i nazvali je - Zemlja Franje Josipa. Neka su područja nazvali i imenima lokacija iz kojih su stigli i hrvatski pomorci. Tako na području Arktika postoje rtovi Fiume i Trieste, kao i brdo Littrow (prema mornaričkom časniku Heinrichu von Littrowu, koji je većinu života proveo u Rijeci i Opatiji, i koji je svojim kolegama Weyprechtu i Payeru i pomogao odabrati ‘’Quarnerole’’). Kada su već izgubili svaku nadu, na iscrpljene mornare naišli su ruski ribarski brodovi. U norveški Vardoe stigli su 3. rujna 1874.g. gdje su ih dočekali u svečanom raspoloženju. Priču staru 140 godina o sudjelovanju „Quarnerola“ u arktičkim istraživanjima dugo je vremena prekrivala prašina, no zaslugom lovranskog i opatijskog Lions Cluba na rodne kuće Sučića, Letiša i Palmića postavljene su spomen ploče kao podsjetnik na značajan doprinos liburnijskih i hrvatskih mornara u stvaranju svjetske povijesti.
research that later influenced modern disciplines like meteorology and geology. Furthermore, the polar expedition of Tegetthoff resulted in new land being discovered that had not been shown on maps before. On 12 April 1874, they reached latitude 82 north, i.e. they discovered the northernmost point of Earth conquered by that time and called it FranzJosef Land. Some of the locations, like Cape Fiume and Cape Trieste, were named after the birth places of Tegetthoff crew members as well as mountain Littrow (named after marine officer Heinrich von Littrow who spent most of his life in Rijeka and Opatija and who recommended ‘’Quarneroli’’ to his colleagues Weyprecht and Payer). When all hope was gone, the exhauseted sailors were saved by Russian fishermen. They reached Norwegian port Vardo and were welcomed on 3 September 1874. The 140 years old story about the participation of ‘’Quarneroli’’ in the Arctic expedition has been covered in dust for a very long time, but Lions Club Lovran and Lions Club Opatija put memorial tablets on birth-houses of Sučić, Letiš and Palmić, to remind us about significant contribution of Croatian and Liburnian sailors to the world history.

Osjetila okusa i mirisa rijetko možemo zavarati ili potisnuti. Uvijek nas snažno uzdrmaju, bilo lijepo, bilo ružno.
The senses of taste and smell can rarely be fooled or repressed. We are always overwhelmed whether they are good or bad. Each of us has a flavor that evokes memories, such as Madeliene cookie that shook up the Proust’s world.
Svatko od nas ima neke okuse koji bude sjećanja, evociraju uspomene, poput kolačića Madeliene koji je uzdrmao Proustov svijet. Upravo je okus Rogača jedan od tih okusa s kojima se danas rijetko susrećemo, a obilježio je prošlost Mediterana, živote naših djedova i baka. Rogač je zimzelena biljka rasprostranjena u zemljama sredozemnog pojasa pa tako i Hrvatskoj, a posebno u Dalmaciji. Ime mu dolazi od grčke riječi „keras“ , što znači rog. Drvo rogača ima velike i guste krošnje s zimzelenim listovima, a doživi i više od 200 godina. Plod rogača je tamnosmeđa mahuna dužine do 20 centimetara unutar koje se nalaze, sjajne, tvrde sjemenke različitih oblika, ali uvijek jednake težine. Pradomovina rogača jest Perzijski zaljev. Kulturu rogača u našu zemlju donijeli su grčki kolonisti koji su na dalmatinskim otocima osnivali gradove. Među tridesetak najpoznatijih vrsta rogača na Mediteranu ubrajaju se i dvije vrste iz Dalmacije, a to su šipanski rogač i komiški dugi rogač. Sjemenke rogača bile su prve mjerne jedinice u razmjeni robe. Naime, još od antičkog vremena sjemenkama rogača se vagalo dijamante, perle i zlato. Izraz karat upotrebljava se za 0.18 grama zlata, a sjemenka rogača zbog svoje izuzetne konzistentnosti, bez obzira na veličinu mahune i vremenske uvjete dozrijevanja ploda, uvijek ima stalnu masu od 0.18 grama. Pržen i samljeven rogačev plod koristi se u kulinarstvu. Može služiti kao ukusna zamjena za kavu i kakao. Plodovi se mogu grickati cijeli ili mljeti u brašno za pripremu kolača. Rogačevo brašno je ljepljivo, upija vodu i bubri, pa se još od starog vijeka upotrebljava za ublažavanje probavnih smetnji. Sjemenke

Taste of carob is one of those flavors that are rarely encountered, that marked the history of the Mediterranean and the lives of our grandparents. Carob is an evergreen plant that prevails in the countries of the Mediterranean region and in Croatia, especially in Dalmatia. The name comes from the Greek word keras, which means horn. The carob tree has large and broad crown with evergreen leaves, and it can live over 200 years. The Carob fruit is a dark brown pod that can reach 20 cm; in each pod there are shiny and hard seeds which can come in different shape, but are always of the same weight. The homeland of the carob is the Persian Gulf. The Phoenicians embraced the carob culture and spread it across the coasts of the Mediterranean. The carob culture was brought to our country by Greek colonists who established cities on Dalmatian islands. Among the thirty best known types of carob in the Mediterranean, there are two types from Dalmatia, carob from Šipan and long carob from Komiža. Carob seeds were the first units of measurement. As it were, since the ancient times, carob seeds were used to weigh diamonds, pearls and gold. The term carat refers to 0.18 grams of gold and the carob seed, because of its exceptional consistency, has a constant mass of 0.18 grams, regardless of the size of the pod or fruit ripening weather conditions. Fried and grinded carob fruit can be used as a tasty replacement for coffee and cacao. Carobs can be eaten as row ripe

SASTOJCI: 4 jaja 1/2 šalice smeđeg šećera 1/2 šalice mlijeka 1 šalica maslaca, otopljenog 1 šalica mljevenog rogača 1 šalica glatkog brašna 1 prašak za pecivo 1/3 šalice gorkog kakaa 1/3 šalice grožđica 4 jabuke, oguljene, očišćene i grubo naribane
I NGREDIENTS: 4 eggs 1/2 cup of brown sugar 1/2 cup of milk 1 cup of melted butter 1 cup of carob powder 1 cup of cake flour 1 packet of baking powder 1/3 cup of bitter cocoa 1/3 cup of raisins 4 apples, peeled, cored and coarsely grated
RIPREMA: P Jaja i šećer tući dok ne postanu pjenasti. Mlijeko i otopljeni maslac postepeno dodati smjesi jaja, miješati dok smjesa ne postane ujednačena i glatka, zatim umiješati mljeveni rogač. Brašno pomiješati s praškom za pecivo i kakaom, umiješati u smjesu jaja, rogače i grožđice. Biskvitnu smjesu staviti u namazani i pobrašnjeni oblik za torte. Biskvit peći oko 30 minuta na 180°C. Ohlađenu tortu izvaditi iz kalupa i preliti čokoladnom glazurom (otopiti maslac i čokoladu za kuhanje na laganoj vatri uz stalno miješanje kako bi se glazura ujednačila i postala sjajna). Dobar tek!
PREPARATION: Beat the eggs and sugar until frothy. Stir in gradually milk and melted butter, mix until smooth, than stir in the carob, combine. Mix the flour with baking powder and cocoa, add to the eggs and carob mixture. Stir and combine. Add raisins and grated apples, stir and combine. Pour the biscuit mixture into the greased and lightly floured spring form pan. Bake for 30 minutes at 180°C. Leave to cool before taking out of the mold, then pour a simple chocolate glaze over it (melt butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly, until the glaze is smooth and shiny). Sidro je nautičarima simbol sigurnosti, stalnosti i povjerenja, jer kada jednom spuste sidro trebali bi biti sigurni i posada i brod.
Anchor is a symbol of stability, confidence and safety for boaters, because once they let down the anchor the crew and the ship must be safe.
Sidro nije samo komad teškog željeza kojeg vežemo užetom i spuštamo na dno da nam pridržava plovilo. Ono mora imati određen oblik ali i veličinu usklađenu sa težinom broda. Nije niti dovoljno da sidro leži na dnu. Da bi pridržavalo plovilo na mjestu koje smo odabrali, što mu je i osnovna namjena, sidro se mora kao klin ukopati u dno i ostati ukopano. U ovom članku donosimo informacije o nekoliko najčešće korištenih sidara kod nautičara.
Anchor is not just a piece of hard iron which we tie on a rope and descend to the bottom to hold our vessel. It must have a definite shape and size adjusted to the weight of the boat. It’s not enough that the anchor just lies on the bottom of the sea. To adhere to the vessel at the place we chose, as it is the basic purpose, the anchor must bury as a wedge into the bottom and remain buried. In this article we bring some information about few most used anchors for boaters.
SKLOPIVO ILI „MAČAK“ SIDRO Najčešće korišteno sidro, popularno zvano Mačak. Raspon težine ovih sidara se kreće od 1.5 kg do 12.0 kg. Najčešće se koristi kao pomoćno sidro za brzo i kratko sidrenje na manjim dubinama i na manjim brodicama veličine do 27 stopa. Prednost ovog sidra je njegova praktičnost uslijed sklapanja. Naime, kad se sklopi zauzima vrlo malo mjesta, najmanje od svih ostalih. Što se obrade tiče ova sidra dolaze na tržište pocinčana, te nema straha od korozije uslijed djelovanja mora. Ovo sidro je idealno za sidrenje kod pjeskovitih dna, no ako ima kamenja zapinje i nemože se lako izvući, te postoji opasnost od njegova gubljenja.
FOLDING ANCHOR Most commonly used anchor. Weight range of these anchors is wide; 1.5 kg, 2.5 kg, 3.2 kg, 4.0 kg, 6.0 kg, 8.0 kg, 10.0 kg, 12.0 kg. This anchor is used as a backup anchor for quick and short anchor in shallower depth and smaller boats up to 27 feet. The advantage of this anchor is that when closed it occupies very small space. It is made of steel, so there is no fear of corrosion due to salt water. It’s ideal for anchoring in the sandy bottom, but it gets stuck on the stone and can not be easily drawn, so there is a danger of losing it.
PLUŽNO ILI „C.Q.R.“ SIDRO Glavna prednost CQR ili plužnog sidra leži u činjenici da se proporcionalno djelovanju sile, odlično ukopava u dno. Zahvaljujući zglobu, odlično prijanja u različitim smjerovima i kutovima potezanja, no upravo je zglob i kritična točka sidra, njegov fizički najslabiji dio.
PLOUGH OR “C.Q.R.” ANCHOR The main advantage of C.Q.R. anchors or ploughshare lies in the fact that this anchor lies well into bottom of the sea. The C.Q.R .design has a hinged shank, allowing the anchor to turn with direction changes rather than breaking out, while other plough types have a rigid shank.
ADMIRALITETSKO SIDRO
Glomazno i teško admiralitetsko sidro prilagođeno je za upotrebu na jahtama i sportskim plovilima: krakovi se sklope, a greda izvuče, tako da zauzima mjesta kao nešto veći kišobran. Zbog svoje težine i dobrog ukopavanja ovo je sidro na glasu kao pouzdano i ‘drži’ tamo gdje novija i laganija zglobna sidra ne mogu ukopati svoje široke lopate, a to se prvenstveno odnosi na dno obraslo debelim slojem trave. Na plovilima je ovo sidro često rezervno sidro za loše vrijeme kada će dobro doći nešto veća težina na dnu.
The Fisherman Anchor The Admiralty Pattern also known as “Fisherman”, is the most familiar anchor design adapted for the use on yachts and sporting boats. It consists of a central shank with a ring or shackle for attaching the rode. At one end of the shank there are two arms, carrying the flukes, while the stock is mounted to the other end, at ninety degrees to the arms. When the anchor lands on the bottom, it will generally fall over with the arms parallel to the seabed. As a strain comes onto the rode, the stock will dig into the bottom, canting the anchor until one of the flukes catches and digs into the bottom.
DANFORTH SIDRO Od svih varijacija zglobnih sidara koja se svako malo pojave na tržištu, Danforth sidro je sigurno najpopularnije, te se pokazalo kao iznimno pouzdano sidro jer je relativno lagano i jednostavno za rukovanje. Lako se ukopava i prikladno je za svaku vrstu dna. Ovo je sidro dobro kao glavno sidro koje ima svoje mjesto na pramcu.
Danforth or Fluke anchor The Danforth or Fluke anchor is certainly the most popular light weight anchor. It is compact due to its flat design anchor and it is proved to be extremely reliable because of its simple use. It is appropriate for every type of bottoms, and can be used as main anchor on boat.
BRUCE SIDRO Ovo je danas jedno od najčešče korištenih sidra i uglavnom se nalazi na pramcu plovila kao glavno sidro. Bruce sidra dolaze uglavnom u većim kilažama 7.5 kg, 10.0 kg, 15.0 kg, te su samim time češće u upotrebi kod većih brodova, od 8 metara na više. Pogodna su za pjeskovita i miješana dna.
BRUCE ANCHOR This is today one of the most commonly used anchors. It’s often used as a main anchor. It has a reputation of not breaking out with tide or wind changes, instead slowly turning in the bottom to align with the force. Bruce anchor comes in the heavier weights 7.5 kg, 10.0 kg, 15.0 kg, and are often used on large boats, from 8 meter and high. It is suitable for sand and mixed bottoms.
OLUJNO SIDRO ILI DRIFT ANKER Ovo ‘zlu ne trebalo’ sidro koristi se pri lošem vremenu, u slučajevima kvarova na motorima radi stabilizacije broda na valovima. Olujno sidro ili Drifter od velike je pomoći kad se ribari po valovitom moru. O veličinama glavnog ili pomoćnog sidra i njegovim karakteristikama ovisi i sigurnost plovila, posebno u situacijama kada moramo sidriti da bismo spasili plovilo i posadu. Stoga na sidru i opremi za sidrenje ne treba štedjeti.
DRIFT ANCHOR Drifter or storm anchor is used to anchor in bad weather, in case of failure on the engine to stabilize the boat on the waves. It is of great help when you are fishing in rough and waves seas. The safety of the vessel, especially in situations where we need to anchor in order to save the vessel and the crew, depends on the size of the main or auxiliary anchors and its features Therefore, on the anchors and anchoring equipment you should not spare.

Ukoliko u kalendarskoj godini uskrsni blagdani započnu prije 1. travnja, sezonski granični prijelazi otvaraju se za međunarodni promet sedam dana prije početka blagdana.
