The Preparation of the Church for the Rapture - Revelation - Part XXXVI

Summary of the president’s message

The Sunday Bible School on February 9th, 2025 was held live, directly from the Communications Center of the Maranatha Christian Church, Vila Velha, Espírito Santo, with the participation of pastors Gedelti Gueiros, Gilson Sousa and Josias Junior.

Message from pastor Gilson Sousa:

We greet all our brethren with the peace of the Lord Jesus! We are starting the Sunday Bi-

ble School. The subject to be presented is the book of Revelation: the message of the Holy Spirit resonates in the midst of the Faithful Church, in relation to the prophetic markers that are being fulfilled in our day, in the preparation of the Church for the rapture.

Pastor Gilson Sousa presented the answers given by various brethren to the questions posed, as well as various experiences and testimonies

spiritual gifts disappeared after the early church? Cite the texts that prove your answer.

Texts: (personal response)

Question

Answered through video

Reading Revelation, chapter 2, verse 1 and chapter 3, verse 1, what is the relationship between the characteristics of Ephesus and Sardis in terms of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit?

Answer: In Ephesus, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit marked the establishment of doctrine through the Word. In Sardis, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit marked the discovery of the Word, because it was hidden in the field of religious interest.

“...These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands…” Revelation 2:1

“... These things says He who has

the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars::” Revelation 3:1

Question

Answered through video

Based on the previous question, how does the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Sardis relate to what the Holy Spirit is doing now, in our days?

Answer: In Sardis, the outpouring of the Spirit was for the believers to leave the idolatry of Roman Christianity. In our day, the same outpouring of the Holy Spirit is for the church to come out of the tradition created by Protestantism

Question

Answered through video

According to Joel 2:28, how can we define the two moments of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the last days?

Answer: The outpouring of the Spirit was fulfilled in Sardis:

“And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My spirit on all flesh”.

In our day, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit is fulfilled in the expression: “…before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.”

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out My spirit on all flesh…” Acts 2:17

“...Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.” Acts 2:20

Message from pastor Gedelti Gueiros:

There is a Work that the Holy Spirit is doing all over the world. Our concern is with the prophetic moment we are living in. The church’s proclamation for this hour is “The Lord Jesus is coming”. The word Maranatha contemplates this proclamation: The Lord Jesus is coming!

The understanding of the stu-

dy being presented in Sunday Bible School needs to be broad. Brethren from other evangelical groups have testified to the benefit they are receiving. This is very important for us. We want to be together: one people, one nation, one baptism, one God.

Our position is the same. The Word is at our disposal. Living the Word is more difficult than anything else. Our need is to live the doctrine of the Church, the Body of Christ and the doctrine of spiritual gifts.

The first outpouring of the Holy Spirit was for the departure of the church. The church needed to be attentive to the government of the Holy Spirit. There was no need for any philosophical basis for this walk. However, in the course of these two thousand years, many have been fossilized by philosophy. Some still say that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit was only for the early Church. That’s why we always remind you: don’t give your soul to any theologian or religion. The decision is personal. We must be living in the body of Christ.

Culture or knowledge does not lead to communion and fellowship with God. Culture, for us, is knowledge of the Work. This is what the Holy Spirit has for us. The culture that the Holy Spirit has for us is brought about through the humility we need to learn. Our concern is for all of the leadership to achieve this.

What are we seeing in the studies on Sardis? Sardis has a secret. It was the breakthrough. That’s why the first revival began in 1727. This revival will not stop. We are the creditors of this great revival. Many gave

their lives to the Lord. They were remarkable men who lost everything to serve the Lord, like Whatchman Nee in China, who was arrested and died in prison. Virtually, all the revivalists died in poverty.

The Holy Spirit has sought out those who are in the gap. He won’t give up on us.

“So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behald of the land that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.” Ezekiel 22:30

This is a time to decide. We don’t live by theologians or theology, but by the revelation of the Holy Spiri.

May the Lord Bless us.
