The Lord Jesus revealed in the TabernaclePart I

November 16, 2025
Summary of the president’s message
The Sunday Bible School of November 16, 2025, was held live from the Mahanaim of Domingos Martins, Espírito Santo, with the participation of Pastors Alexandre Gueiros and Gilson Sousa.
Message from Pastor Gilson Sousa:
We greet all the brethren with the peace of the Lord Jesus!
We are beginning this study of the Word of God so that we
may know the Lord Jesus more deeply. In this study we will examine the Tabernacle and everything that was prophesied concerning the Lord Jesus. The purpose of this study is to know the Lord Jesus through the Tabernacle and its objects. In this way, we continue to grow in the knowledge of Jesus so that we may love Him more and desire even more His coming.
When the people of Israel were being prepared to leave Egypt, there was a work from God so that they would come to know His law, His will, and God Himself. Israel, until that moment,

did not know the Lord. But God would reveal Himself to that people as the “I AM.”. God intended to reveal Himself and dwell among His people. When He revealed His purpose to deliver them from Egypt, God desired to dwell in their midst. He revealed the manner in which He wanted to manifest Himself to them. The goal was to prepare a place where He could have fellowship with His people, where He could manifest Himself to them and, above all, speak to them. God instructed Moses to go up Mount Sinai. The Lord would descend there to speak with him. The glory of God was now before Moses. The glory of God was so majestic that the people could not bear it. On that mountain, Israel sensed the presence of God. They saw the presence of a holy God, a living God; thus, they came to know Him as the living God.
For three days the people camped at Mount Sinai. All the instructions were given so that the people could receive the presence of God, for the holy God would dwell with them. And at the end of the three days, the
thick cloud appeared, the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, and a great fear came upon them, for it was the manifestation of God.
Moses was a meek man. He did nothing except by the will of God. For forty days Moses remained on that mountain. There God showed him all things. The law was given to point out sin, but not to redeem from sin. For the remission of sin, while God revealed the law, He also revealed His grace. For that reason, He presented the Tabernacle.
The sinner would go to the Tabernacle to have his guilt redeemed. God showed Moses the pattern of the Tabernacle. The structure would be built on earth but would be a pattern of the eternal. And today we speak of this because God desires to tabernacle with us.
Message from Pastor Alexandre Gueiros:
I greet the brethren with the peace of the Lord.
“And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it.” Exodus 25:8-9.
We saw how Moses heard the law and the instructions given on the mountain to deliver to Israel. And we see how this is a clear picture of the relationship between the Holy Spirit and the Lord Jesus. Jesus said:
“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority,

but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”
John 16:13-15 (added emphasis)
Moses is a wonderful type of the Holy Spirit. Moses had all possible fellowship with God. God spoke to Moses face to face.
“I speak with him face to face, even plainly, and not in dark sayings; and he sees the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses? Numbers 12:8.
The Holy Spirit is the One who knows all things. He is the One who builds His church, using His servants. In the first covenant, God revealed His law on tablets of stone. Today, God’s law is written in our hearts. This is the great difference. Nothing is imposed upon us; rather, the Lord writes upon our hearts because we desire to please Him out of love, not fear.
When the Lord revealed the construction of the Tabernacle, He explained His purpose: He desired to dwell with His people. The second covenant, established with the church, is superior in every way to the first. Today, the Lord Jesus

dwells in our hearts through His Spirit. He is God with us. He is Emmanuel.
The Lord said to Moses: “Make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” The pattern represented the reality of heaven. Therefore, it had to be made exactly according to that pattern. When the Lord builds this tabernacle in our lives, the Word says:
“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” I Corinthians 3:16.
Thus, the Lord requires that everything in His church be done according to His will, according to the pattern revealed from eternity.
“And see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain.” Exodus 25:40.
The Lord insists on this need: that everything be done according to the design He reveals. This is a characteristic of the Work of God. We depend on the Lord’s revelation.
The people had to be careful to carry out the Work of the Lord according to His purpose. Every detail mattered. Some might ask, “Is it necessary to seek the Lord’s guidance even for choosing a Sunday School teacher?” The Lord cared even about the pegs of the Tabernacle. Every detail is essential in the house of the Lord, so that the entire structure may reflect the glory of the Lord. This is important because in every detail of the Work of the Lord we can see
the glory of Jesus.
Holiness was essential. The people could not even approach the mountain. Only Moses could ascend. Fire was present, representing the work of the Holy Spirit. The Lord called the Tabernacle a sanctuary. He Himself showed the need for sanctification.
“Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.’” Leviticus 19:2.
We marvel at God’s desire to have fellowship with His people. It was so with Israel and remains so with the church. He desires fellowship with us. It is not merely permission; it is a desire: “I want to dwell in your hearts.” For this reason, in the second covenant everything is superior to the first.
The Lord determined that when Jesus died on the cross, the veil of the temple would be torn. God dwelt among His people, but not all could enter the Most Holy Place. Only the High Priest could enter, and only once a year. But God wanted something different for His church. He desired His church to have full fellowship with Him. Therefore, it was determined in eternity that the Son of God would die so that we might have complete communion with God. This is the God we serve, the One who loves us.
Thus, brethren, the Tabernacle speaks of the Lord Jesus and His church. In the next Sunday Bible Schools, we will study much more: the sacrifices for forgiveness of sins, the
thanksgiving offerings, the consecration offerings. All of them were fulfilled in the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus in the new covenant. We see this in Hebrews chapters 8 and 9. We are also reminded that everything the Tabernacle represented was a shadow of eternal realities, because in eternity we will have a great surprise, when we hear a voice saying:
“And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.’” Revelation 21:3 (added emphasis)
We will glorify the Lord for all eternity. Today, the Lord asks very simple things of us:
First, to take part in building this tabernacle, the church of the Lord, for we are instruments used by Him for the edification of His sanctuary. Second, He desires that we do all things according to the pattern, according to the plan He has revealed. Third, He desires that we keep our hearts pure and sanctified by the power of the blood of Jesus so that He may continue to have full fellowship with us. The Lord desires that His law be continually written in our hearts, producing the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
May the Lord bless us.
