The Lord Jesus revealed in the Tabernacle - Part II

Summary of the president’s message

The Sunday Bible School of November 23rd, 2025, was held live from the Plano 100 Church in Vila Velha, Espírito Santo, with the participation of Pastors Alexandre Gueiros, Gilson Sousa, Marcelo Ferreira, and Diniz Azevedo.

Message from Pastor Gilson Sousa:

We greet all the brethren with the peace of the Lord Jesus! We are studying the Taberna-

cle and showing everything that was prophesied concerning the Lord Jesus.

The purpose of this study is to know the Lord Jesus through the Tabernacle so that we may desire even more His coming.

Message from Pastor Marcelo Ferreira:

I greet the brethren with the peace of the Lord. In the previous study, we examined the wonderful attributes and designations of the Lord Jesus in the book of Revelation. Now, we are studying the Tabernacle. All the furniture and objects of the Tabernacle were prophetic

symbols concerning the Lord Jesus, our Savior. And the Tabernacle also speaks of the church.

“Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man.” Hebrews 8:1-2.

“For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law; who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” Hebrews 8:4-5.

The Entrance of the Tabernacle

Let us begin by studying the entrance of the Tabernacle. The door had four pillars. It was approximately 9 meters (about 30 feet) wide. It had four colors: blue, purple, scarlet, and fine linen. There was only one entrance. The door was not made of wood or metal, but

of a curtain. Jesus is the door of entrance to salvation. The entrance was unique, pointing to the fact that Jesus is the only way to salvation, meaning, there is only one Savior, for no one comes to the Father except through the Lord Jesus. There are no other saviors, only one Mediator between God and men.

It is interesting that the door occupied almost the entire east side of the Tabernacle. It was a door through which all could pass, whether great or small. This is the great salvation of God for mankind. In God’s salvation plan there is no partiality. God so loved the world that He did not choose only one race or nation. Everyone is invited to enter the Tabernacle. The door pointed to this invitation that the Lord Jesus made to man.

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.

The door of salvation is open to all who desire to accept Jesus as their Savior.

The entrance of the Tabernacle brings an important lesson. The door was a curtain. No effort was required to enter, showing that salvation is not by human strength or works, nor only for the strong. Passing through the curtain represents grace. Accepting the Lord Jesus

requires no strength - only believing in your heart that He died for you and confessing with your mouth that He rose again.

The entrance had no locks. The door was always open. The door of salvation is always open to us. There was no dependence on anyone. Salvation is an individual decision. Whoever desires to enter may enter just

as they are.

The entrance had four pillars, and the curtain had four colors. The emphasis on the number four pointed to the four Gospels, which represent the entrance to our salvation, for the Gospels speak of the Lord Jesus. Each color revealed an aspect of Jesus: the blue spoke of the divinity of the Lord Jesus and the love of God, Jesus revealed as God; the purple spoke of royalty, the color used by kings, pointing to Jesus as the King of kings; the scarlet spoke of the blood of Jesus, the One who was faithful unto death, even death of the cross; and the fine linen spoke of holiness, revealing Jesus as the perfect Man.

Message from Pastor Diniz Azevedo:

I greet everyone with the peace of the Lord. The beauty of Jesus and the great work of salvation are seen in the Tabernacle. The world does not know the beauty of Jesus. It is necessary to enter through the door. When one enters through the door, one begins to know the

mysteries of God.

The Curtain Around the Tabernacle

Let us speak about the curtain that surrounded the Tabernacle. Around the Tabernacle were curtains of fine woven linen.

“You shall also make the court of the tabernacle. For the south side there shall be hangings for the court made of fine woven linen, one hundred cubits long for one side.” Exodus 27:9.

The curtains were made of woven linen - a special linen. The women wove this linen; it was not a fragile fabric. It was woven in a special way. This linen speaks of the holiness of God. When the Lord Jesus called us, we entered through the door without any effort, but God’s call is to separation from the world. Jesus became man, but remained holy, pure, and pleasing to God. This curtain speaks of sanctification, of separation. We were washed and redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Our lives were transformed. Jesus is the perfect Man, the pattern for us.

The linen was offered by the people. That is the Work of the Lord. The blood operates in the Body. It is the church that is praying for you and me.

“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”

Ephesians 4:30.

This is our life. Sanctification requires the participation of all. It is the cry and unity of the church; the church that hears and obeys the voice of the Lord. Everyone worked so that the linen would be placed as a curtain. It was an operation involving all the people. Isaiah shows that the Lord is three times holy.

“And one cried to another and said: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!’” Isaiah 6:3.

The woven linen points to the perfect holiness of God, the holiness the church must live. The church left the world. We were taken out of the world to have fellowship with God and live in sanctification. From afar, one could see the linen curtain of the Tabernacle. But in the desert, the curtain may have seemed ordinary. Those far from God cannot know what is inside. But those who approached and entered could see the details of holiness. Those who enter marvel at all the mysteries. Those who enter are those who heard the voice and accepted the invitation to know the mysteries of the Lord. Throughout this study we will see each detail of the Tabernacle, which represents our life, the life of the church. We find Jesus in all the details of the Tabernacle. We have the

of the Tabernacle. We have the opportunity to know more of the Lord’s teachings.

“Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses.” Psalm 25:12.

The secrets of the Lord are for those who fear Him. The curtains were exposed in the desert, subject to all kinds of Weather, heat and cold. But the curtains were preserved. We live in this world, suffering all kinds of attacks, yet our holiness is grounded in the Lord. The Levites were responsible for keeping the curtains clean. This is the function of the church. The Work must be maintained. The church is kept in holiness. It is the labor of the church. The linen must remain pure, holy. Stains reveal the need for sanctification. The church safeguards this. We cannot allow anyone to bring into the life of the church that which comes from the desert.

“My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” 1 John 2:1.

Sin is common to the world. But to the church it is different. I do not want the world! I want Jesus! This is the choice made at every moment. When the world makes its proposals, the church does not accept them. The miracle of salvation works daily in the life of the church.

What sustained the curtain?

There were pillars sustaining it. The pillars were wood, but silver was present as well: the price of our redemption.

These pillars could have toppled in the sand, but they had bases of bronze, because bronze speaks of God’s justice. The Lord is the One who keeps us standing. We are grounded on this bronze base, the miracle God worked in our lives. We are not saved by good works, but by the price of redemption. He is our righteousness.

The pillars were five cubits tall, approximately 2.2 meters (about 7 feet). This is the maximum height man can reach. Why? Because we are not “super saints.” No one is greater than anyone else. We are simply men and women sustained by God. That is the measure, the measure of man, the highest man can reach. But someone standing outside could not see what was inside. If someone wanted to know what was happening inside the Tabernacle, they had to enter through the door.

The Tabernacle stood equidistant from all the tribes. Why? Because we all have the same condition to enter. All the tribes camped around the Tabernacle because the blessing of the Lord is available

to all. Everyone has access to the presence of God. Besides all this, the cloud remained over the tent continuously. And the curtains defined the limits of the Tabernacle, separating it from the desert. It was a figure of sanctification, of separation, when one accepts God’s call. Therefore: Christ in us, the hope of glory.

Message from Pastor Alexandre Gueiros:

I greet the brethren with the peace of the Lord. Everyone has clearly understood what has been spoken. The Tabernacle was built according to Moses’ obedience, following the pattern shown to him on the mountain.

The Tabernacle was carried by the people and assembled in every place along the journey until they reached Canaan, the promised land. Likewise, we are on a journey toward the heavenly Canaan, our promised land.

Therefore, we have the assurance that the Lord Jesus is always with us along this journey. The Tabernacle speaks

of the Lord Jesus and of His Church, because the Lord Jesus never separates Himself from His Church. He is God with us because we are in communion with Him. And today we glorify the Lord because we discern the signs, knowing that we are very near the promised land: the heavenly Jerusalem.

May the Lord bless us.
