The Lord Jesus revealed in the book of Revelation - Part VIII

October 26, 2025
Summary of the president’s message
The Sunday Bible School on October 26th, 2025, was broadcast live directly from Radio e TV Mahanaim in the state of Espírito Santo, with the participation of Pastors Alexandre Gueiros, Gilson Sousa, Diniz Cypreste, and Marcelo Ferreira.
Message from pastor Gilson Sousa:
We greet all our brothers and sisters with the peace of the Lord Jesus! We are beginning our Sunday Bible School with the theme: “The Lord Jesus Revealed in the Book of Revelation.”
Message from Pastor Alexandre Gueiros:
I greet the brethren with the peace of the Lord. Let us continue the series of studies we have been carrying out on the manifestations of the Lord Jesus and on the titles that He receives in the Book of Revelation.
We emphasize that the
purpose of these studies is that we may continue to grow in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus; His glory, His power, His love for us, and His grace.
As this knowledge increases, we will love the Lord Jesus even more and serve Him better, with faithfulness and dedication, accomplishing the work that He has entrusted to us.
“Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.” Revelation 19:11
John saw the Lord Jesus as the victorious One. There is a difference between this vision and the one that John had earlier, which is recorded in Revelation 6:2:
“And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.”
(Revelation 6:2)
In that earlier passage, Jesus appears wearing a crown, going out “conquering and to conquer.” That referred to the beginning of the history of the Church. That crown

represented Jesus’ authority over His Kingdom, which was established in the hearts of His people.
But at the end of times, Jesus is presented with many diadems, or many crowns, because He has already overcome and now reigns over all the kings of the earth. He has become the King of kings and Lord of lords.
In this chapter, we see that Jesus conquers the beast, the false prophet, and all His enemies. Thus, He establishes His millennial reign.
He is presented to John as Faithful and True. He is faithful because He fulfills all His promises. One day, we will be received by Him with a glorious greeting:
“Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you
from the foundation of the world.’” Matthew 25:34 (added emphasis)
His words are true and faithful. He is the One who judges and makes war in righteousness. We do not need to fear, for this judgment will be for those who have not accepted His marvelous grace. Those who have accepted Him have passed from death into life. The
one who believes in Him does not need to fear death.
In Revelation chapter 19, we see that the Lord Jesus is victorious at the end of history. The seven periods of the history of the Church (represented by the seven letters) have already passed, and now the Church begins to reign with Jesus. He is the One who has made us kings and priests so that we

might reign with Him.
“His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.” (Revelation 19:12–15
The eyes of the Lord Jesus were like a flame of fire; eyes that penetrate and see everything. The light that shines from His eyes reaches the lives that will be judged. And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, which will strike the nations. A single word from the Lord is powerful enough to
accomplish all His will.
“And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” Revelation 19:16
This shows that the Lord has all power and authority to judge and to defeat all our enemies. We know that everything the Lord does and works is for our benefit.
In the Book of Revelation, we see not only His glory and power, but also His love and zeal for His Church. He is the One who fights for us. For this reason, it was written on His thigh: “King of kings and Lord of lords.” His name is The Word of God – the Word made flesh. Jesus is the One who became man to die for us. That is why His garments were dipped in blood – to remind us that His sacrifice will never be forgotten. Our salvation was purchased at
the price of blood. Therefore, we say that Jesus is worthy of all glory and all praise.
Message from Diniz Cypreste:
We greet everyone with the peace of the Lord. Jesus was the One who went forth to conquer. He conquered the beast and the false prophet. And we also conquer with Him, for we are joint heirs with Christ. It pleased the Father to make us heirs together with Him.
“And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not
live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the
books.” Revelation 20:4–12
For us, it is a privilege to reign with Christ. When we speak of the reign of Jesus during the Millennium here on earth, we are referring to those who have been resurrected from the dead in Jesus Christ or who have been raptured. This Kingdom is a promise of the Lord since the Old Testament. God promised David that He would not lack a descendant to sit upon his throne; a promise that would be fulfilled in Jesus. John now sees Jesus with many diadems upon His head. When we are caught up, those who are resurrected will have glorified bodies. There will be no more death. We will enjoy the privilege of reigning with Him over all the earth; that is the Millennium.
“And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned

with Christ for a thousand years.” Revelation 20:4 (added emphasis)
For a thousand years, the Church will reign with the Lord Jesus. This is confirmed by the Apostle Paul:
“This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him. If we endure, we shall also reign with Him.” (2 Timothy 2:11–12a, NKJV)
Here lies the promise of the Lord Jesus. When we die to the world, we are born again as new creations. The faith that is the gift of God transforms us into new creatures to live eternally with the Lord.
“And have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:10
What a glorious thing! We did not deserve such great salvation. Yet through this great salvation, the Lord has made us kings and priests. We will reign with Him, and we will serve Him as priests before the King.
“Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.” Revelation 20:11–12
John saw the great white throne – the final judgment.

The final judgment is a truth that sometimes frightens people. It presents a hard reality for humanity, for no one will be saved by works. Human works are like straw; regarded as filthy rags. But the just shall live by faith. We are saved by grace, through faith. This comes from the great love of God, who gave His Son to save us. Jesus bore our sins upon Himself. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him.
But those whose names are not written in the Book of Life will face judgment. The vision of the white throne was magnificent; it was the throne of the Righteous Judge. He knows all things. The soul who sins shall die. Those whose names are not written in the Book of Life will be resurrected for judgment. For those whose names are written in this Book, the Lord will stand not as Judge, but as our Advocate.
Message from Marcelo Ferreira:
We greet all the churches with the peace of the Lord.
“Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, ‘Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.’”
Revelation 21:9
John receives a great invitation: “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” This is the same invitation that one day the Church will receive. And Jesus will reveal the New Jerusalem. John was taken up to a high and great mountain, and from there he saw the city. In that vision, John emphasizes the foundations of the city.
The walls were made of jasper, and the city itself was pure gold, like clear glass. John describes the twelve foundations of the wall, which were adorned with precious stones. The number twelve speaks to us of doctrine, the complete revelation of God’s Word. The victory of the Church is connected to the doctrine.
The Church that lives according to the true doctrine will reach the New Jerusalem.
John also saw the twelve gates of the city, and he tells us that
“its gates shall not be shut at all by day” (Revelation 21:25). This brings comfort to the Church, because the gates of the heavenly city are open. Through His blood, Jesus opened for us a new and living way.
John mentions that there were three gates to the north, three to the south, three to the east, and three to the west; showing that salvation is available to all directions and peoples of the earth. The fact that the gates are open does not mean that everyone will enter. At each gate stood an angel, and only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will be allowed to enter. They are those who have sanctified their lives. The angel will recognize those who may enter, for their names are recorded in the Book of the Lamb. John also says that each gate was a single pearl. There was only one way to enter the Holy City: through the pearl. Jesus is that pearl of great price (Matthew 13:46). He is the only way to enter the city, because He Himself is the door.
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”
John 10:9
John also mentions the temple of the city.
He says that there was no temple in it, because “the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.” The temple is the place where we go to seek the Lord, but in the New Jerusalem, there will be no temple structure, for the very presence of the Lord Jesus will be the temple. In that city, the Lamb is its light.
“The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.” Revelation 21:23
Jesus is the Light of the world. His presence illuminates all eternity, for Jesus is full of glory.
To conclude, we observe that the entire city reflects the glory of the Lord Jesus: the temple, the gates, the lamp, and the pearl. For this reason, Jesus is worthy of all praise and all glory.
May the Lord bless us all.
