The Preparation of the Church for the Rapture - Revelation - Part LV

Summary of the president’s message

The Sunday Bible School on June 29th, 2025was held live, directly from the Mahanaim in Domingos Martins, Espírito Santo, with the participation of pastors Gedelti Gueiros, Gilson Sousa and Josias Junior.

Message from pastor Gilson Sousa:

We greet all our brethren with the peace of the Lord Jesus!

We are starting the Sunday Bible School. The subject to be presented is the book of

Revelation: the message of the Holy Spirit resonates in the midst of the Faithful Church, in relation to the prophetic markers that are being fulfilled in our day, in the preparation of the Church for the rapture.

Pastor Gilson Sousa presented the answers given by various brethren to the questions posed, as well as various experiences and testimonies.

Question

Answered through video contribution

Reading Revelation, chapter 3, verse 9, identify the characteristics of those who are called

the “synagogue of Satan” in our day?

Answer: Those who confused liturgy with reality and tried to bring back Jewish customs. They are the ones who brought back the elements of the liturgy of the service of the Law (Halakha).

“Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie –indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.” Revelation3:9

The history of the church is well known. It has been in existence for two thousand

years. When the Lord Jesus left, He left what was the foundation. The biological blood went into the ground and stayed with religion. But the operation of His Spirit remained with the faithful church.

From that moment on, the church stayed with prophecy, abandoning rites and liturgies. The church changed the meaning of everything, and thus the doctrines. Despite coming out of the paganism that was established in the world at that time, the Church

had no way of establishing itself institutionally. They werepoor, simple people and, above all, persecuted. But the doctrine was established. And those who were responsible for the doctrine in the first century began to die for the doctrine itself. The doctrine spoke of another life and, at the time of Smyrna, they died to live the other life, eternal life, with the certainty that they would be resurrected to this other life.

The world opposed all this.

First, the opposition was against the Word (Ephesus). Later, the opposition was against the body (Smyrna). The quote about the synagogue of Satan in the letter to Smyrna refers to the gathering of Jews who kept the law. In the synagogue, the Jews debated against Christianity. But the church was prepared. The account in Revelation is clear:

“I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.”

Revelation 2:9 (added emphasis)

They had rites and liturgies. Paul, writing to the Galatians says:

“You have just become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.”

Galatians5:4

The earthly homeland is one thing. The heavenly homeland is another thing. The heavenly homeland is the one that comes from above. Religion chooses God. But in the project of salvation, God is the one who chooses (calls) man. God is the one who reveals himself by responding to man's need.

The struggle was great. It was the synagogue of Satan. They said: “You have to keep the Sabbath;you can't eat pork”. Today, the situation is the same. And at the time of Sardis, a new path opened. The letter was still valid, but now it would be what had to be generated by the prophetic experience revealed by the Holy Spirit.

Today we are facing great confusion. Some say that the church is going into the second age. They say that Jesus is coming for his bride and then his girlfriend. But the biblical texts are clear: Abraham sent his servant to fetch a bride for his son, Isaac. It was only one bride.

There are two classes of those who will remain for the Great Tribulation: the apostate and the accursed. The accursed is the one who wants to prevent the doctrine from reaching man for salvation. The apostate is the one who has lived the doctrine but denied it.

Pastor Edson Iahn

At the end of his ministry, Jesus answered a question from his disciples: “What sign will there be of his coming?” The Lord Jesus spoke about wars, rumors of war, and other signs. Jesus leaves an important reference for us:

“Then they will delivery you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.” Matthew 24:9 (added emphasis)

The church of the last days, the time of soon, has also attracted this hatred. Some would not withstand this pressure and would betray their commitment. But Jesus concludes by showing that he who endures to the end will be

saved.

“But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:13-14

Pastor Gilson Sousa

The name Philadelphia means “brotherly love”. This brotherly love encompasses Jesus' love for the church. The characteristic of Philadelphia is therefore the revelation of Jesus. And Jesus demonstrates this love by saying: “and to know that I have loved you”.

“Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie – indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.” Revelation 3:9 (added emphasis)

The result of this love is the baptism with the Holy Spirit. Everyone will know, including those in the synagogue of Satan.

Pastor Júlio Filgueiras

The Lord showed that He will write the name of His God on whoever overcomes.

“He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name” Revelation 3:12 (added emphasis)

The Lord's name was over Jerusalem. It was the place

he chose to place His Name. In Jesus' sacrifice, the veil was torn from top to bottom. In other words, the mystery was opened to the Gentiles, to all those who accept the Lord Jesus as their savior. Those who overcome will receive the name of the Lord. This name does not belong only to Israel but is also extended to the Gentiles. This happened on the day of Pentecost, when all who were there received the blessing.

“But Isaiah is very bold and says: “I was found by those who did not seek Me; I was made manifest to those who did not ask for Me”.” Romans 10:20

We have the name of Jesus in our hearts. The people of Israel had to go to Jerusalem to worship. But today, there is no longer any distance for us, because we have the Holy Spirit who brings us to have fellowship with the Father.

Pastor Jerônimo

The accursed is the one who brings news and information because he knows he's going to stay. He doesn't believe in the rapture of the church, in the plan of salvation and has no revelation. He wants people to stay for the Great Tribulation, just like he will. But those who have the revelation of the Holy Spirit will rise to heaven for eternity.

“And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and make them white in the blood of the lamb.”

Revelation 7:14

This tribulation that is

mentioned in Revelation 7:14 (of great tribulation) refers to the tribulation that the church went through during its entire journey. Who says this is the Word of God.

“For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,” I Thessalonians 5:9

Pastor Douglas

The name of the city of my God is Jesus' promise to those who have overcome and where they will live. Today, we are separated into nations, but there will come a day when we will be in one place: the New Jerusalem. It is the project that comes from above for the benefit of those who have overcome by blood of the lamb and the Word.

The Lord will make them a pillar. A pillar is something that doesn't move. They will never leave it, because it is the place prepared for the faithful.

Pastor Sérgio Sousa

We talked about the rapture and persecution. I understand that we have all learned a little more about this subject. And the question is: what do we expect from everything we've heard? Our expectation is eternal life.

The Preparation of the Church for the Rapture - Revelation - Part LV

“Brethren, I do not Count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14 This is the position of the servant of God. The one who has experience with the Lord does not back down, does not give up, but continues steadfastly in the Lord, waiting for that day.

May the Lord bless us
