The Preparation of the Church for the Rapture - Revelation - Part XLIV

Summary of the president’s message

The Sunday Bible School on April 13th, 2025, was held live, directly from the Communications Center of the Maranatha Christian Church, Radio and TV Maanaim, in the city of Vila Velha, state of Espírito Santo, with the participation of pastors Gedelti Gueiros and Gilson Sousa.

Message from pastor Gilson Sousa:

We greet all our brethren with the peace of the Lord Jesus! We are starting the Sunday Bi-

ble School. The subject to be presented is the book of Revelation: the message of the Holy Spirit resonates in the midst of the Faithful Church, in relation to the prophetic markers that are being fulfilled in our day, in the preparation of the Church for the rapture. Pastor Gilson Sousa presented the answers given by various brethren to the questions posed, as well as various experiences and testimonies.

Question

Answered through video contribution

Reading Revelation, chapter 3,

verse 1b, identify what causes a spiritual revival movement to lose momentum.

Answer: The outward appearance of life. Opting for what is material and the mystical.

“...you have a name that you are alive but you are dead.” Revelation 3:1b

Question

Answered through video contribution

Reading Revelation, chapter 3, verse 2, compared with Matthew, chapter 9, verse 16, what was our prophetic experience of the Work of the Holy Spirit as the remnant of Sardis?

Answer:

The Work of the Holy Spirit must be detached from the imperfect works of religious tradition. New cloth for a new dress.

“Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that you are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.” Revelation 3:2

“No one puts a piece of unshrunk

cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment and the tear is made worse.” Matthew 9:16

Question

Answered through video contribution

Reading Revelation, chapter 3, verse 3a, compared with Luke, chapter 5, verses 37 and 38, what was our experience of the Work of the Holy Spirit as the remnant of Sardis?

Answer: The blessing of the Holy Spirit has nothing to do with the Pentecostal movement. New wine in a new wineskin (vase).

“Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent...” Revelation 3:3a

“And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the new wineskins will be ruined. But the new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” Luke 5:37-38

Question

Answered through video contribution

Reading Revelation, chapter 3, verse 4, in the expression: “..a few names who have not defiled their garnments...”, the true believer in Christ is the result of:

a. A religion? Why?

b. A new birth experience? Why?

Answer: Personal answer

“...a few names who have not defiled their garments...” Revelation 3:4

Message from pastor Gedelti Gueiros:

This week we got together and realized that it was necessary to do a review of the study on the seven letters from the book of Revelation. Many people are showing a lot of interest. However, many don’t have an orientation from the first letter. So, we will do a review of the letters.

We stopped in Sardis. The church in Sardis comprises the renewal of the Church in

preparation for the rapture. In Sardis, there were the remnants that were about to die out. We introduced what was most important in the study of Sardis: the revival that would prepare the church for the rapture.

We are the remnants. There is a Christianity that has nothing to do with the eternal Gospel. So, we are facing some challenges.

We’ve had several revivals around the world. China was one of the countries most

affected by the revival. Many were touched and affected. But the revival lost its intensity. In Brazil, there were the Baptist churches, the Assemblies of God, among others. At no time did the Lord want anyone not to be touched.

We must place ourselves within this revival, because the revival has not stopped. The Holy Spirit continues to be poured out. The question is: Why did denominational revivals stop? The reason was because the blessing of the Holy Spirit came to be confused with performances, which some traditionalists didn’t accept. We began to see that what was being presented as revival was simply a movement whose use became that of the flesh.

And today, we see that what the groups are doing with entertainment and shows is not a revival.

The church needs to be prepared for what the Holy Spirit is doing. If it is not prepared, there will be no growth. The Work of the Holy Spirit has doctrine and government. And government includes discipline and obedience. Spiritual gifts need to be exercised in obedience. It is the Holy Spirit who brings lives into the church. That’s why there needs to be a church prepared to receive those whom the Holy Spirit is bringing in.

The Holy Spirit is not sending more people because the church is often not prepared to receive them. Today, we have a structured work with government and discipline. This is the basis of the

doctrine. This is the secret.

When we began to see the movements with all that excitement, the Lord began to show us in the Word:

“Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, and the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” Matthew 9:17

“Therefore thus says the Lord: “If you return, then I will bring you back; you shall stand before Me; if you take out the precious from the vile, you shall be as My mouth. Let them return to you, but you must not return to them.” Jeremiah 15:19

We are no better than anyone else. But the Holy Spirit has an order, a discipline and a guidance that cannot be changed. Today, our concern is the body (the faithful church). The government of the body is in the head (Jesus).

Christianity began but then remained in name only.

Jesus’ death and sacrifice no longer have any value.

The world is in a process of change. What is expected is a change in mentality. There is a brake on what has been learned so far. But what lies ahead is artificial intelligence. There is a mass that is starting to move based on artificial intelligence. However, this will never stop the Work of the Holy Spirit from advancing.

There’s a lot to be said, but I want to point out that in the next Sunday School, we’re going to briefly go back to the previous letters in a prophetic and historical context.

May the Lord Bless us,
