The Preparation of the Church for the Rapture - Revelation - Part XLI

Summary of the president’s message

The Sunday Bible School of March 23rd, 2025, was held live, directly from the Mahanaim of Domingos Martins, in the state of Espirito Santo, Brazil, with the participations of pastors Gedelti Gueiros, Gilson Sousa and Josias Junior.

Message from pastor Gilson Sousa:

We greet all our brethren with the peace of the Lord Jesus!

We are starting the Sunday Bible School. The subject to be

presented is the book of Revelation: the message of the Holy Spirit resonates in the midst of the Faithful Church, in relation to the prophetic markers that are being fulfilled in our day, in the preparation of the Church for the rapture. Pastor Gilson Sousa presented the answers given by various brethren to the questions posed, as well as various experiences and testimonies.

Question

Answered through video.

Reading Revelation, chapter 3, verses 1 to 6, how does the Faithful Church prophetically find

itself today, in the context of the remnants of Sardis?”

Answer: The faithful church remains vigilant, so as not to be surprised by the coming of the Lord Jesus like a thief in the night; remembering and keeping in practice all that it has received and heard.

“Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you” Revelation 3:3

Question

Answered through video contribution

Reading Revelation, chapter 3, verses 1 to 6, according to what you have seen, learned and experienced in this Work, what can you testify of what has been done to maintain the blessing of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our midst?

Answer: personal reflection.

Message from pastor Gedelti Gueiros:

There has always been a struggle, waged by the church, for the Holy Spirit to carry out His Work. In Sardis, we see that it was the remnant who were about to die (Revelation 3:2). It was at this time that Luther took the Bible, translated it and re-established the basic principles of the Gospel.

Before Martin Luther, and even after, Christianity had many saviors: Mary, Peter or John. But for the Gospel, only Jesus is the savior. Christianity changed the Bible, something that religion does very easily.

As far as we were concerned, we were a small group, and we didn’t even know which way to go. What was happening in general? In 1962, the Catholic Church, through Pope John

XXIII, issued a papal encyclical that signified a change when it came to social issues.

Previously, another pope, Leo XIII (1878), had published an encyclical called Rerun Novarum. The purpose of this encyclical was to bring the poor into the church. At that time, the Catholic Church was considered elite. From the time of the fall of Rome, Europe had been completely dominated by the church. When Rome fell (476 a.d.), only the existing religious structure remained. After the fall of Rome, the

money was in the hands of the feudal lords. The feudal lord provided his workers with food, security and housing. However, with industrialization, the world moved away from agricultural activity to industrial activity (machines). The feudal lords, who deposited their money with the Roman Catholic Church, took the money that went to the church and threw it at the machines. It was the industrial revolution.

So, the workers who worked in the fields went to the factories. Then came a movement

to unite the workers. These were communist and socialist principles. And the church began to see that those who had property were leaving. There was only one way out: to bring the poor into the church. But no one had managed to bring them back. Then came the two world wars and, after the second war, the Catholic Church reevaluated its situation. They saw that the way it was, the church would not survive in the face of the communism that was being established.

The solution was to unite with the Protestants. And the Protestants accepted the Pope’s call, when the first ecumenical council took place. The Church now felt strengthened because a new stage had begun.

We therefore found ourselves at an impasse. Ecumenism was coming to the doorstep of the church.

We heard God saying that the Holy Spirit was being poured out. There was even a baptism with the Holy Spirit within the Vatican. But then came the deviation: they said that it was Mary who was baptizing with the Holy Spirit. But Jesus is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit. This movement in the Catholic Church gradually diminished.

At that time, we were invited to a meeting. It was led by nuns. The meeting was to be part of the ecumenical council. That’s when the Lord gave us a vision:

“The Lord showed the prophet Daniel with an open Bible. He came in a certain direction and

went to the basement of the Vatican. And from the basement of the Vatican, he saw chains that had been taken off at that moment. He knew that someone was a woman. She had a unique beauty, very well groomed. But on her wrist was a snake. “

And the Lord said: “Is that where you’re going?” It was ecumenism. That wasn’t for us.

Then we were in the United States. I was invited to speak. At the time, seeing the situation we were being presented with, I told them that it would all end in superstition and mysticism.

So, we asked: “Where should we go from here?” We’ll look at this in the next Sunday Bible School.

May the Lord Bless us,
