Summary of the presidents message

The Sunday Bible School on October 27, 2024 was held live, directly from the Communications Center of Radio and TV Web Mahanaim, Vila Velha, Espírito Santo, with the participation of pastors Gedelti Gueiros, Gilson Sousa and Josias Junior.

Message from pastor Gilson Sousa:

We greet all the brethren with the peace of the Lord Jesus!

We are starting the Sunday Bible School. The topic to be dis-

cussed is found on the book of Revelation: the message of the Holy Spirit resonates among the Faithful Church, in relation to the prophetic markers that are being fulfilled in our days, in preparation for the rapture.

Pastor Gilson Sousa presented the answers given by various brothers to the questions posed, as well as various experiences and testimonies relating to Sunday Bible School.

Message from pastor Gedelti Gueiros:

I greet everyone with the peace of the Lord. Let’s answer the questions posed.

Reading Revelation, chapter 2, verse 16, identify the resource used by the Lord Jesus to combat the human government of the church, and to which prophetic period verse 16 refers.

Answer: The same two-edged sword was also used in the prophetic period of Sardis with the Word from the mouth of the Lord fighting against the human government of the church

“Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.” Revelation 2:16

Question

[Answered through video]

Reading Revelation, chapter 2, verse 13, identify the expression that represents the action of the antichrist in Pergamos, and its prophetic meaning.

““I know your works, and where

“But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality.”

Revelation 2:14

Question

[Answered through video]

Reading Matthew, chapter 13, verse 32, when comparing faith to a mustard seed, what is the prophetic meaning of the difference between the smallest of seeds and the largest of plants?

Answer: The smallest of the seeds represents the inner faith that speaks prophetically of the faith that existed in Ephesus and Smyrna, while the largest of the plants represents the outer faith, which speaks of the faith that came to exist in Pergamos. A faith that only had an outward appearance, where material interests took root.

“which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree…” Matthew 13:32

Now, we are facing a great reality: the Word of God prophesied and fulfilled in our day. We no longer have any doubts. We know the history of the church. A great struggle has been waged in every age, with special emphasis on the first three churches: Ephesus, Smyrna and Pergamos.

In Ephesus, the doctrine preached was salvation by grace through faith.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,” Ephesians 2:8

At that time, the difference in

what salvation was had already been made. In the Old Testament, there were kings, prophets and priests, but the Holy Spirit had not yet been poured out. The doctrine in the Old Testament had guided Israel until Jesus’ death and resurrection. When Jesus is resurrected, he brings the teaching of his earthly ministry to the church. The church, from that moment on, took possession of the teaching of the Lord Jesus’ earthly ministry. Thus, there was a change.

But what happened? The enemy rose up because he didn’t want this doctrine. So, at

the time of Ephesus, the church won because the doctrine was established. The doctrine was of the resurrection. Salvation was no longer by law and works. Salvation comes from above, from God’s grace. It doesn’t come from religion. The idea of religion has always been the same in every age. People join a religion and think they’re going to heaven.

However, what takes us to eternity is not linked to what man produces.

In every letter, there is a record of struggles and losses. But at the same time, there were great victories. These victories are within Jesus’ promises to his church.

In the Old Testament, the clothing of the priests had its details in the priestly vestments. They began to bring all the symbolism of the Old Testament into church times. It no longer had any value. Becau-

se in the new covenant, Jesus becomes the high priest. The Church no longer needed any kind of symbolism because Jesus had risen and was alive.

This kind of teaching, which opposed the revelation of the Holy Spirit, did not lead man to eternity. It was simply an opposition.

In a second moment, after the enemy had tried to put an end to doctrinal teaching at the time of Ephesus without succeeding, an attack was now launched on the believers. It was the time of Smyrna. They wanted to replace the center of the plan of salvation. But the center of the salvation project is Jesus.

The second church, Smyrna, died. “I die in this life, but I will rise again to receive the crown of glory”. That was Smyrna’s experience. The church exchanged the values of this life for the values of eternity.

The Preparation of the Church for the Rapture - Revelation - Part XXIII

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 Religion is man-made and it traps you. The anxiety of the soul, the expectation of tomorrow, only the Lord Jesus can give you. Salvation, therefore, is something from above. Salvation is a gift from God.

So we come to Pergamos, where faith was thrown into man’s interest.

The measure of faith in your life is how much you have Jesus in your heart. The more you have the Holy Spirit in your life, the more faith you have.

The price that was paid at that time was paid by the Lord Jesus himself. If Jesus is in your life, you will have victory. A testimony was being given. We are a blessed people. We are no respecters of persons. The world is desperate. But the Gospel is wonderful.

The resource for combating human government is the double-edged sword. Man’s government is in the flesh, but God’s government is in the spirit. All the Lord wants for your life is for him to direct you by his Spirit.

May the Lord bless us.
