Before making any comments, it should be made clear that the study of the book of Revelation leads us to understand the moment we are living in. One thing is what you are living through, another thing is prophecy. The church is a teacher when it understands the moment it is living in. The

faithful church receives everything that is being worked out in eternity. In this way, teaching is not static, but dynamic. Many men, servants of God, have professed many things. The value of many men who have passed on, such as Martin Luther, John Calvin and others, continues. But what is important is what the Holy Spirit is speaking to us at this time. John Calvin brought important studies on grace, but said nothing about the baptism with the Holy Spirit, spiritual gifts, or the revealed Word.

Prophetic Application: Global emphasis on the operation of the Holy Spirit upon the churches.

Doctrine, therefore, is not static, but dynamic. That’s why doctrinal understanding is being refined in our midst every day.

We are living in a time called “soon”, which is fundamental to understanding the moment we are living in. The Greek translation of “soon” refers to the Messiah’s time for his church and his judgments. This is the essence of the book of Revelation.

The Lord Jesus is present throughout the history of the Church. Man changes, but the Holy Spirit does not.

We begin to see, letter by letter, the information present in the book, as shown in the chart on the previous page.

Jesus wrote the 7 parables about the kingdom of God. Each parable corresponds to a letter written by Paul. We see the action of God’s Word, Jesus, in each letter. The Word works in each of the church’s times. The verb does not enter through the senses. What enters through the sensory organs is religion. But what enters directly into the mind is God’s revelation. When God works in man’s life, God doesn’t use the senses (sight, smell, touch, hearing, and taste). From the moment God speaks to man, his senses are commanded by revelation. When revelation comes, the enemy can’t reach us. When the light (revelation) is present, the enemy is blinded. It is, therefore, necessary to bring to the brethren the conviction of the moment we are living in. There is a reaction against the Word, an opposition against doctrine.

John, the writer of Revelation,

had the spirit of prophecy. It was he who laid his head on the chest of the Lord Jesus and heard his heartbeat.

We find the operation of the Lord’s spirit in the book of Isaiah.

“The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the.” Isaiah 11:2

All the spirits mentioned in Isaiah acted at different times in the church, in each of the letters. At first, in Ephesus, the apostolic church needed to define itself. Paganism was before them and Judaism had a cult. The church needed to experience the Holy Spirit. This was necessary for there to be a government of the Holy Spirit himself. In Ephesus, all the operations of the seven Spirits of the Lord were concentrated, because of the need to consolidate the doctrine. At this time, a complete operation of all the spirits of God took place.

Paul’s letters were written, as were the letters of James, Peter and Jude, to define apostolic doctrine. Thus, all the operations of the Spirit of the Lord were present at the time of Ephesus. The Spirit of Counsel was in “repent and do the first works”. The Spirit of Knowledge was in the fact that the Lord knew who the apostles were and who they were not (“And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not,”).

The glorious titles of the Lord Jesus were manifested at the beginning of each letter. Each letter will be studied, along with the operations of the Spirit of the Lord, for each church

era (age).

May the Lord Jesus bless you all.
