5 TELESCOOP Success Stories and Testimonials 2019

Chairperson’s Corner Our Cooperative has recently experienced a breakthrough or milestone in its transformation process. As mentioned in this issue, much-needed plans were discussed and approved for implementation during the 2019 TELESCOOP Strategic Planning and Team Building Conference held among the Officers and Staff on June 7-8, 2019 at Whiterock Waterpark & Beach Hotel in Subic, Zambales. Among the most daring approved plan is to come out of the box by going public where TELESCOOP would now be catering its products and services to Members and Non-Members or the Public. Our Consultant is now extensively working on this project and soon this will become a reality. Another flagship project is the reduction of interest rate on Direct Selling from 14% to 12% and revision of its maximum terms of payment from thirty (30) months to sixty (60) months at the option of the availing Members to make the periodic semi-monthly payment amortization or deduction very affordable to Members. During the June, 2019 Regular Board Meeting, the Board of Directors discussed and approved its formal implementation effective July 1, 2019. In the process of our business transformation, we always consider and work for the best interest and welfare of our Members and Stakeholders. MARCOS R. DE LEON, TELESCOOP Chairperson

TELESCOOP Big Brother Program, model for Cooperative Development Authority Here’s some kind of trivia or a little-known fact about our Cooperative as narrated by Francisco Caballero, Jr., one of the Founding Officers of PLDT Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (TELESCOOP):

Business Loan

Tuition Fee Loan

Financial Analyst Cash Accounting

Availed of FSDL Senior Business Loans in 2017 and 2018 and was able to put up a Start-up Trucking Hauling business. She started with three (3) delivery trucks which has increased now to eight (8) trucks and was also able to purchase a vacant lot to serve as garage for the trucks. So paanakin natin yung perang pinaghirapan natin. Maraming salamat po at gusto ko to take this opportunity na magpa salamat sa lahat ng Officers at mga Staff na bumubuo ng TELESCOOP kasi napaka- accommodating nila at napakababait. Thank you.” Manager Fix IBS Proj. Mgmt.

Shell Card for Grab Transportation Business

The concept has been around for quite a while now and we are proud to have pioneered the project which was recently adopted by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA).

“Did you know that one of the seven principles of Cooperatives, which is the “Cooperation among Cooperatives” or “Big Brother Program,” was inspired or modelled after the Big Brother Program pioneered by TELESCOOP in the 1980s? Simply put, it is large Cooperatives extending help in the formation of new and existing micro or small cooperatives to level up and boost their organization and operation, hence, the name Big Brother Concept.

TELESCOOP recently entered into and signed a Memorandum of Agreement on “Koop Kapatid (Big Brother, Small Brother) Program” with the Cooperative Development Authority - Manila Extension Office (CDA-MEO) and Sts. Peter and Paul Parish (Makati) Multi-Purpose Cooperative as “Small Brother” deserving much-needed technical assistance and financial support from TELESCOOP as the “Big Brother”.

2016 was a good year for me because I saw this great opportunity of this new product of TELESCOOP, which is the Shell Card. I ventured one UBER so I have one car then I saw this TELESCOOP Shell Card. Ang problema kasi sa UBER ay one week mo pa makukuha yung payment so from Monday to Sunday mamamasada ka and then sa iyo muna ang lahat ng gastos. Medyo intensive kasi yung sa gas consumption. It has been three years since I’ve been using that product na yung UBER nga ay naging GRAB na. So it’s very important for me and it has been a very good alternate work around solution for the cash requirement kunwari na short yung driver then definitely may magagamit na siya Shell Card at hindi na niya ako pa kokontakin para humingi ng cash para makapag pasada siya ulit. So to my fellow employees and other TELESCOOP Members, please check the Shell Card product of TELESCOOP then relate it to your business in order for you to maximize the potential of your business. Thank you very much!

Supervisor FinWarehouse Division

I am grateful to TELESCOOP through the Tuition Fee Loan or TFL. TELESCOOP is helping me and my husband to send our children to the best schools in the Philippines. Ang kagandahan po sa Tuition Fee Loan ay ang cheke po ay payable to the school so diretso ko na itong pambabayad sa school. For twelve months ang salary deduction. Thank you TELESCOOP for helping me achieve my dreams for my family. Mabuhay ang TELESCOOP at marami pa po kayong matutulungan!

What can you suggest in order to convince/encourage our Non-Patronizing Members to patronize/avail the products and ALVIN I. MARTINEZ services of TELESCOOP? Business Head, Public Sector ROBEN B. MAGSOMBOL Senior Costing Analyst CostVal/Non-Core

I think, TELESCOOP should create many videos that will provide information about the products/services of TELESCOOP. Video should be some sort of comedy so that viewers will be encouraged to finish it until the end or it can be in the form of a story with many series na pwedeng subaybayan at abangan ng viewers. Aside from this, maybe TELESCOOP should consider to offer incentives to Members that can refer a Non-Patronizing Member to avail products.

ARNEL C. PEÑAREDONDA Staff Engineer and Acting Team Leader Cavite CXO Zone I suggest to provide our Members an “Advantage/Loyalty Card” like those of SM so that they earn points and redeem them when buying TELESCOOP products and services. I also suggest to support SME businesses being eyed by our Members.

Corporate Relationship Business

The ongoing digital transformation of TELESCOOP is a good way to reach and connect with Members. Creating a consistent Member experience through digital channels like mobile application, website, SMS notifications, email will make TELESCOOP products and services more accessible to its Members resulting to more active interactions.

For me, In order to encourage Members to patronize or avail the products and services of TELESCOOP, I suggest that they will host an event so that Members will know what are the products and services and for that they will be encouraged to avail. I think that sharing Members reviews is also a great way to promote new products and services to TELESCOOP Members. In this way, Members will get some new ideas, product features and possible benefits of what they can avail.

How Strong do you think TELESCOOP adhere to the attainment of the members’ economic and social development? DEE S. VILLAHERMOSA

CX-Tech Support Supervisor Technical Assistance and Resolution Division

As a new Member (3 years pa lang po) of this Cooperative, my observation is, I believe TELESCOOP is committed and is continuing to provide Financial assistance as well as empowerment to its Members and also what amazes me is that it also supports the community with its various social community development projects and services.
