TELESCOOP supported the celebration of the Philippine Cooperative Centennial Year (1915-2015) held last February 5, 2015 at the Quezon City Memorial Circle through the auspices of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) and the Makati Cooperative Development Office (MCDO). This was participated by TELESCOOP Officers, Employees and members as well as Officers and Members of the other Makati based Cooperatives (KS Bank, Makati Persons with Disability Green Consumers Cooperative and Southern Rice Retailers Cooperative). This year-long event was highlighted by a “Kick-Off Celebration” which gathered participants from cooperatives all over the country, as a gesture of support to the celebration of the “Philippine Cooperative Centennial Year 1915-2015 with an appropriate theme: “Kooperatiba: Ika-100 Taong Pagpupugay, Tulay sa Maunlad na Buhay”.

meaningful projects under its Social and Community Development Programs. All resolutions and amendments to the Articles of Cooperation and ByLaws were approved and ratified by the Representative Assembly in compliance with regulatory requirements. The new set of Board of Directors are: Marcos R. De Leon, President and Chairperson, Hector M. Profeta, Vice Chairperson, Alexander C. Banag, Froilan M. Bautista, Gerardo Jose V. Castro, Teofilo E. Espadera, Silverio S. Ibay, Jr., Ernesto C. Miranda and Emiliano R. Tanchico. The Audit Committee new set of Officers are: Roberto R. De Guzman, Chairperson, Gerardo C. Aguinaga, Vice Chairperson, Rodolfo E. Manzanares Jr., Secretary, Roderick Ramon F. Santos and Noel A. Fulgencio, .

I would like to quote and refer you to the very appropriate and descriptive theme:“Kooperatiba: Ika 100 Taong Pagpupugay, Tulay sa Maunlad na Buhay” for this year’s celebration of the “Philippine Cooperative Centennial year 1915-2015”. Indeed, cooperatives contribute to the personal well-being and advancement of the economic status of their members and also serve as “bridge” towards economic growth and prosperous life. We should nurture the growth of cooperatives and practice cooperativism as a way of life. With regard to TELESCOOP, we must keep pace with the changing cooperative environment in order to survive and continue our operation as part of preserving our own survival and sustainability of growth. In keeping in place the cooperative principles, we should give prime attention to the value and importance of a sustained patronization of TELESCOOP products and services by our members. This, unquestionably, serves as basic bloodline for survival and sustainability of growth of TELESCOOP.

DE LEON

In the interest of addressing these concerns and challenges, your Officers are considering several proposed projects or programs on business diversification and development as well as training needs namely:  Diversification and expansion of products and services by operating: • Gasoline Stations • Transport Services • Convenience Stores • Manpower Services  Providing training and financing for livelihood projects for members and their immediate members of the family.  Providing seminars on Financial Literacy for members and their immediate members of the family. My parting words for our Members and Stakeholders are best summed up by our driving force, “TELESCOOP Kaagapay sa Pag-Unlad”.

It is an event no one should miss as it sheds light to all our concerns and need to know about our cooperative operations and its highlights. We should commend our officers and staff for the success of our annual assembly.

I always look forward to attend TELESCOOP Assemblies as I find it very informative and interesting. Masaya at napaka-ayos ng Assembly kahit ang eleksyon ng mga officers ay magaling at mabilis.
