Be Clean

“The Earth will not continue to offer its harvest, except with faithful stewardship. We cannot say we love the land and then take steps to destroy it for use by future generations” – John Paul II. To celebrate the 2021 Earth hour on March 27, 2021, the Cadet Troop 23 of Central Philippine University organized a conference dubbed as “Envirotalk: Climate Change to Save Earth”. Dr. Jaspare V. Barrido was the resource speaker who tackled climate change and global warming for at least an hour via the online communication app of Zoom. This forum emboldens not only the youth but every person to gain awareness about the world’s current climate situation and educate them about how to contribute in reducing the disturbing state of our environment. After the session, everyone was encouraged to switch off the lights for an hour to minimize electric consumption as the first simple step to decrease the effects of climate change as well as acknowledge the annual Earth Hour Celebration.
