NEWS FROM HQ

A MESSAGE FROM THE MD, ANDY KYNOCH

Yet another busy summer in aviation is coming to an end as schools reopen and Universities start next week. Thank you to all our teams within that side of our business and the highs that you continue to achieve.

Our Corporate teams continue to go from strength to strength as they win new contracts and serve our existing clients as they expand too.

Within these pages you will learn of a new contract in Canary Wharf, a new Data Centre client and an expansion of services to existing Data Centre clients. There’s more to come in the very near future!

Our teams on both sides of our business could not perform so proficiently each and every day were it not for a myriad of colleagues who ensure we as a company are safe to the highest standards possible. Keeping all of our ICTS family and our clients as safe and secure each day is very dear to my heart.

So, it was heartwarming to see we had won a merit at the British Council Safety awards in June.

Coupled with that, for the fourth year running our Aviation Security Training provision has been classed as ‘Outstanding’.

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) recently confirmed our status as a Tier 1 provider as a result of their ACS audit and in addition to that, we recently attained the highest ever status in the EcoVadis programme.

These outstanding ‘wins’ not only show our clients how dedicated we are to giving them a first-class service experience each and every day but are also a reflection of you on the ‘front line’ and those behind the scenes who work tirelessly to ensure you have the best tools and knowledge to do your job. I’m proud of you all.

There are so many good stories within these pages, from the great work of our canines to long-serving employees who are the very backbone of our company. We are always proud to sponsor events such as the first ever Windsor and Eton Pride Festival and this year’s Women in Security Awards. This brings me to remind you all that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and what that means to all of us and those who have been affected by it.

Take care and stay safe.

INTRODUCING OUR NEW ARMED FORCES COVENANT

“Hello, I’m Ryan, currently serving as Interim Station Manager for ICTS at Aberdeen International Airport. ’m proud to have taken on the role as our company’s point of contact for the Armed Forces Covenant.

My connection to the Armed Forces goes back to my time as an Army Cadet, which inspired me to join the British Army. Today, I continue to serve as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Cadet Force, where I pass on what I’ve learned to the next generation – including my own son, who’s now a cadet himself.

Taking on this role felt like a natural step. I’m passionate about raising awareness of the Armed Forces Covenant, supporting veterans and reservists and helping to strengthen ICTS’ ongoing commitment to those who serve or have served. I look forward to helping ensure we continue to honour the pledge in meaningful and practical ways.”

‘SURVIVORS OF BEREAVEMENT BY SUICIDE’ SELECTED AS CHARITY OF CHOICE BY OUR EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR, JESSICA MOSS

As part of our ICTS Employee of the Year Recognition scheme Jessica Moss (HR Apprentice), was able to select a charity of her choice to receive a monetary donation from ICTS UK & Ireland.

Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SoBS) was selected by Jessica who went on to say, “I have chosen Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SoBS) as my charity of choice due to the incredible support they provide to those affected by suicide loss. I’ve witnessed firsthand the meaningful difference this charity makes to people’s lives.

SoBS provides peer-to-peer support for anyone over the age of 18 who has been affected by suicide whether recently or in the past. They offer a safe and confidential space where people can share their experiences, connect with others who understand, and find comfort and strength through mutual support. SoBS also works to raise awareness and maintains strong links with other organisations to ensure that those who are grieving do not have to face it alone.”

On Friday 18 July 2025, SoBS CEO, Josie Jakub came to our London HQ to meet with Jessica who presented her with the cheque for £8,500.

SoBS CEO, Josie Jakub said the following about the donation – "Thank you ICTS for the incredible donation. Last year alone, more than 7.5k people lost their lives by suicide, which was a big increase compared with the year before. 135-150 people are known to be impacted by every death, and more than 1 million bereaved by suicide last year alone. Sadly, we know the number of recorded suicide deaths are underreported. Your donation makes it possible for SoBS to provide essential services including a national support lineopen daily 7am and 9pm, email and text support services and the incredibly impactful in-person and virtual peer support bereavement services, that have been reaching communities all across the UK since 1991."

You can read more about why Jessica was selected as our Employee of the Year on page 4 of the March 2025 Newsletter.

WHY HEALTH & SAFETY MATTERS…. FROM DAY 1

Did you know that according to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), new starters are more likely to be involved in a workplace accident during their first six months than at any other time in their career?

Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and we all play a part in creating a supportive and secure environment. If you see someone new looking unsure, don’t walk past check in, offer a hand, and help guide them. These small acts make a big difference.

Together, by following the steps we take and looking out for each other, we build a culture where everyone can thrive safely especially those just starting their journey with us.

ICTS H&S CHAMPIONS INITIATIVE

The number of our H&S Champions across the business is growing. Thank you to those staff members who have volunteered their time to further contribute to the promotion of a robust safety culture at ICTS. In this edition we highlight our Champions who are based at London Heathrow Airport:

HEALTH & SAFETY CHAMPIONS LUNCH

On Friday 8 August, Stockley Park office hosted a ‘Health and Safety Champion Lunch’ for the Safety Champions based at one of our data centre contracts. The data centre account, which currently boasts eight Safety Champions across the client’s portfolio at four locations in the UK are looking to drive Safety culture in the team in line with the clients’ ethos of Safety First.

The meeting consisted of a round table for the Safety Champions to air any queries and concerns directly to the Business Assurance H&S Team and operational management, as well as for the team to understand the expectation of their new role.

The event ended with a presentation for Certificates and pins to the Safety Champion Team who could attend; Gabriella Kulcsar, Christopher Amu, Khalid Ahmed, and Oluwasegun Alogba by Olu Olojo-Kosoko (Health & Safety Support Manager) and Danielle Davies (ICTS Corporate Divisional Director).

Chris Lean, Strategic Account Manager stated, “It’s amazing to have so many people willing to volunteer to go above and beyond to be responsible for driving safety in the workplace. We need to look after our teams, just as they look after the business on the ground. Whilst no one would ever look to endanger their colleagues or their customers, it’s good to know there are people who are keen to ensure that safety of those around them and ensure everyone goes home in the same condition that they come to work!”

The Safety Champions lunch is planned to be a regular occurrence, and as the scheme becomes more embedded, it is intended that there will be more Champions joining the team!

Olojo-Kosoko adds, “As the Health and Safety Support Manager, I encourage the Health and Safety Champions to note: Being a Health and Safety Champion means leading by example, protecting people, promoting awareness, and creating a culture where safety is second nature. It’s not just about preventing harm; it’s about empowering others to care, act and make sure everyone goes home safe, every single day.”

ICTS MANAGER TRAINING PROGRAMME 2025

In March 2025, ICTS introduced a new training programme specifically for its managers. The goal of this programme is to help managers become more confident and effective in their roles. It is part of the company’s broader effort to support employees' growth and improve leadership skills within the business. Although it only started recently, the programme is already showing positive results and helping to strengthen teams across the company.

Why we Introduced the Programme

In response to feedback from our recent employee survey, we’re proud to launch the ICTS Manager Training Programme a key step in our ongoing commitment to leadership development.

This programme builds on the strengths of our current managers, recognising the critical role they play in ICTS’ success. It provides practical tools, shared guidance, and helps build confidence in essential areas of leadership all designed to support managers in the moments that matter most.

By investing in our people, we’re strengthening teams, supporting talent, and laying the foundation for an even stronger ICTS. This is more than just a training course — it’s a meaningful, structured development journey tailored to the real challenges our managers face.

What it Covers

The Manager Training Programme blends formal learning with ICTS-specific content, giving participants the chance to work toward a Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 3 qualification a widely respected benchmark in leadership and management.

In addition to the qualification, the programme helps participants deepen their understanding of key ICTS business functions, linking daily responsibilities to broader organisational goals. This practical and tailored approach supports both personal development and ICTS’ commitment to high standards of leadership.

Developed and delivered entirely in-house, the training is designed around the real challenges and expectations our managers face, ensuring content is relevant, applicable, and impactful from day one.

Key training areas include:

• HR & Management Skills

• IT & Data Protection

• Finance, Payroll & Legal

• Business Assurance

• Marketing & Client Relationships

• The ICTS Story & Values

The programme is delivered through a flexible blend of in-person workshops, remote sessions, and selfdirected study allowing managers to engage with the content in a way that works around operational needs, while still offering a rich and interactive learning experience.

A Positive Start

Engagement with the Manager Training Programme has been excellent, with participants showing real enthusiasm and commitment. Feedback has been highly positive, particularly around how practical and relevant the sessions are to day-to-day responsibilities. We’ve committed to putting 50 Managers through the programme by the end of 2025, and we’re pleased to report that 44 have already started a strong milestone reflecting the programme’s success and momentum.

Building Something Meaningful

This programme reflects who we are as a business. It brings together the knowledge and experience of our teams while creating space for cross-department collaboration and shared learning. It’s also fostering a more connected and consistent management culture across ICTS.

Looking Ahead

By the end of the programme, participants will not only earn a recognised management qualification but will have also:

✅ Built stronger leadership skills

✅ Gained practical understanding of ICTS operations

✅ Strengthened connections with peers

✅ Helped shape a more confident, aligned leadership team

We look forward to seeing how this programme continues to grow and develop our future leaders.

MANY CONGRATULATIONS TO MATT LLOYD WHO HAS QUALIFIED AS A FIRST RESPONDER FOR ST JOHN AMBULANCE

Matt Lloyd, Physical Security Supervisor EMEA at Vantage Data Centers, writes, “At the beginning of this year, upon completion of my standard ‘First Aid at Work’ training course, I had to quickly put my practice into reality and save a person’s life. That person had collapsed, was unconscious and had a cardiac arrest. I reacted immediately and administered first aid and vital CPR and saved that person's life.

I am extremely proud that I was able to step in and react while others may have been in a state of shock. It is vital in these situations that you react as soon as possible to give that person the best chance of survival.

This was not the first time I have had to do something like this as back in 2019 I managed to save a young girl’s life. So, to date I have saved two lives.

Whilst the circumstances are unfortunate for the victims that this had to happen to them, I am glad to have been able to react quickly enough to ensure their survival.

I always knew that I had a bigger role to play in this world so in February of this year I signed up with St John ambulance as a volunteer and it opened up an opportunity for me to become a First Responder with them.

Juggling work and a busy schedule I started my training. I spent countless evenings and weekends ing a lot of personal time, which was never an issue for me as I knew this was something I was destined to do. I knew that my kind and compassionate tendencies would be well placed in such a fantastic organization.

Fast forward 5 months and here I am – proud as punch in my greens on my second duty.

This is an extremely proud moment in my life, and I can honestly say I am really enjoying it. To be able to help people at what are the most challenging times of their lives can and will make a difference. This is what I find most fulfilling.

I am a huge advocate for family and its values so I know firsthand how much you must cherish your loved ones. So, to be able to give back and help others is so rewarding and is my purpose.

Always remember anyone of us could have a cardiac arrest. Anyone of any age or fitness level. It is vital that you know what you can do to help. Please consider learning how to give CPR, you will never know when you might need it or who you might be able to save just like I did.

CONGRATULATIONS, JOHN PARKER

Dublin Airport Station Manager, Brian Kelly was delighted to present John Parker, our esteemed Operations Manager, with this token of our sincere appreciation.

CONGRATULATIONS, FOUAD SALIM

SPECIALIST CANINE TRAINING AT VINTNERS HALL IN THE CITY

Fouad Salim, who is a Security Officer based at St. s University London, has received some great praise for his services at the University.

Eric Boakye Ansah, ICTS Security Manager (SGUL) writes, “I just wanted to take a moment to personally thank Fouad for all his hard work, dedication, and professionalism at the library. His consistent presence, calm approach, and ability to engage positively with students and staff have not gone unnoticed. You've built a strong rapport with those around you, and the respect you’ve earned from the students speaks volumes about your character and work ethic. You've made a real impact at St. George’s, and the recent message you received is a clear reflection of that. It’s a pleasure having someone with your attitude and reliability as part of the team.”

On 25 June our Canine Team attended Vintners Hall in the City for continuation training. We were given full access to the spectacular venue which was used to stage a ‘bomb threat’ search. Two Handlers - Phil and Michael attended with dogs Aura & Rambo and Millie & Ron along with ICTS EDD Operations Manager, John Graham with his dog, Spark. Phil and Michael were given the bomb threat scenario and they then had to work in tandem to search the building with their dogs to locate the 4 explosive hides that were placed in the building.

We then completed the day running an odour identification session using the pot system. The day was a huge success, with the teams locating all hides and successfully completing all elements of the scenario. FROM LONDON GATWICK TO EDINBURGH AIRPORT, A CAREER OPPORTUNITY WITH ICTS

Michael Henderson, Senior Supervisor / Trainer / IQA Auditor writes, “When I joined ICTS in 2005, I didn’t know that 20 years later I would be continuing my career with them in my homeland. Recently I have made the transfer from Gatwick to Edinburgh, and it was made easy by great people such as Manny Pombo, Robert Horsburgh, Bruno Freire and finally my new Station Manager Kelly Reid. It has been made even easier by the friendly, welcoming team here that Kelly has built.

As many people know the last few years have not been easy personally so the chance to continue to work with ICTS and be closer to family was something that we could not pass on.

My 20 years (apart from 6 months away though Covid) at Gatwick has been filled with promotions to Supervisor in both HBS and Aviation and then Trainer, I now join the incredible team at Edinburgh as Senior Supervisor/Trainer and I cannot wait for the challenge.

There are too many people to say thank you to here but there are a few standouts: Andy Wilcox was the Trainer who started it all in 2005 and continued training me in all sorts of things throughout my time at LGW. Paul Reynolds was the Trainer who kept it going: your experience and coaching was invaluable. George Hayward your help and friendship meant a lot through everything. There are other standouts, and you know who you are. Leaving a great team was hard but I’m sure our paths will cross again.

With joining the ICTS team in Scotland at least now I can speak at the proper speed and get my accent back!”

BEHIND THE SCENES: ICTS CANINE SECURITY SECURES THE MARVEL FANTASTIC FOUR LONDON E-PRIX

The double-header event featured a unique track that weaved its way both inside and outside of the exhibition centre and around the historical heartland of the Royal Docklands.

Our ICTS Canine Security teams have proudly been working in partnership with the Excel London, the capital’s largest event venue, since 2023.

WELCOMING NEW STAFF

“Hello! I'm Karen Hollowell but everyone knows me as Kaz and I'm thrilled to be part of the ICTS Canine Team!

I joined the team in March 2025, bringing with me over 20 years of diverse experience across construction, aviation, logistics and most recently, recruitment. Each role has equipped me with a versatile set of skills that have transitioned seamlessly into my current position and I'm loving every moment of it.

From day one, I’ve felt truly welcomed and immersed within the business. My first few weeks were a whirlwind of observing skilled trainers, supporting new handlers as they honed their craft, and assisting department managers with key administrative tasks. It’s been a dynamic start, and I’ve genuinely hit the ground running.

What makes this role especially rewarding is the chance to work alongside the teams dedicated professionals, both human and canine!! Especially in the stunning English countryside. It’s a privilege to be part of a team that’s passionate, supportive, and mission driven. As an owner of two dogs, it’s been great to transfer these new skills acquired into my own dogs training… Bonus!!

If you'd like to connect or just say hello, feel free to drop me an email I’d love to hear from you!”

“Hello everyone, I am delighted to introduce myself! My name is Charmy Ranchhoddas. I joined ICTS in May 2025 as a HR Advisor supporting Aviation England. I have been working in HR since 2009 where I kick started into this journey by delivering training to all employees in the retail store for mandatory training. In time, I moved into a more Admin based role, where I picked up the majority of my HR skills and knowledge. Having supported managers and employees throughout the years on policies and processes, I have worked across several sectors, Retail, Hospitality, Aviation, Finance, and Care and I am thrilled to have started with ICTS. I really am looking forward to adding value to my role, team and the company whilst learning new skills along the way too!

I look forward to meeting you all in person in the future during any of my visits at the terminals, if I don’t see you first and you do, please do come and introduce yourself.”

“I have been working in HR since mid-2022 after making the transition from recruitment, starting my career in New Zealand in healthcare before moving to London mid last year and working in the FMCG & Media sectors.

In each of my roles I have worked closely with the operations teams learning what they do and how, and advising them across employee relations, performance, succession planning, policy change, changes to terms and conditions, leave management and recruitment.

I enjoy working collaboratively with managers so that we can make sure everyone is on the same page and that we are all working towards the same goal.

As the HR Advisor – Corporate, I am working closely with Maxine Day, HR Business Partner – Corporate across the business. I work both from HQ but also visit sites, so you may see me (or hear my kiwi accent from a mile away) from time to time on site when meeting with Operations Managers or Site Managers in person.

In my role, I will be working closely to provide guidance and support to Operations Managers on all HR matters – such as grievances, disciplinaries, sickness, suspensions, and performance management to name a few. I will also be assisting on large change management projects such as TUPE and restructures.”

BIDS & MARKETING ASSISTANT

I'm thrilled to introduce myself as the new Bids and Marketing Assistant, joining the team here at ICTS.

I come to you with a strong foundation in business, having recently graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a degree in Business Management & Marketing. During my studies, I discovered a passion for the fundamentals of marketing and what truly makes a business successful. This passion even led me to start my own small business on the side, which gave me invaluable, hands-on experience in the day-to-day realities of the business world.

In my new role, I'll be focused on securing new contracts and crafting detailed tenders for the company. I'm most excited to be a part of such a successful security company, and I've already been so impressed by how friendly and welcoming everyone has been.

CORPORATE SECURITY CONTRACT.

MEET OUR DIVISIONAL DIRECTORCORPORATE SECURITY

DANIELLE DAVIES

When did you join ICTS?

I officially joined ICTS in January 2023 as Head of Compliance for Aviation, a newly introduced role created to support our growth in airport security. I stepped into my current role as Divisional Director for Corporate Services and Data Centres in April 2025. That said, I’ve actually worked with ICTS since 2018.

What do you enjoy most of your job?

Without a doubt, the people. I love working with individuals across all areas of the business and helping to shift mindsets. Just because something has always been done a certain way doesn’t mean it should stay that way. I really enjoy challenging that thinking, driving improvement, and doing it all in a way that brings people with me. Change is always better when it’s inclusive and collaborative.

What key attributes make someone successful in your role?

• Authenticity - being real and consistent, whether you're working with your team, our clients, or wider stakeholders.

• Empathy - listening to understand and leading with emotional intelligence.

• Resilience - being able to adapt, keep moving forward, and stay grounded during challenge or change.

What is your favourite pastime?

I’m naturally creative, so I love drawing and painting when I get the chance. I’m also a big fan of football, and enjoy watching how the women’s game is evolving and growing in visibility.

What has been your greatest achievement?

My greatest achievements aren’t personal accolades, they’re the moments where someone I’ve mentored has gone on to achieve something brilliant. Supporting others to grow is the most fulfilling part of leadership.

If you weren’t in your current role, what type of career would you choose?

I’d have gone into the police. I was a Special Constable and came close to joining the Met full-time, but around the same time, I discovered the world of aviation security while working at an airport and that’s where my journey began.

EMPLOYEE OF THE 2nd QUARTER

FROM OUR CORPORATE DIVISION:

MARK SOMERSCALES

Congratulations to Mark Somerscales, one of our Drug Detection Dog Handlers, for being our Employee of the second Quarter from our Corporate Division.

Winner(s) of the Employee of the Quarter award will receive £/ 500 (net) bonus and a lapel pin.

Mark was selected for his exceptional bravery, integrity, and compassion during a tragic road traffic collision on 17th June. Mark was travelling home when he came upon a serious incident involving a pedestrian who had been struck by a heavy goods vehicle. Mark was the first to stop and attend to the victim. With remarkable composure and presence of mind he used his vehicle to block oncoming traffic and administered vital first aid to the injured pedestrian, swiftly taking control of the situation. He ensured safety at the location, managed the environment with professionalism, and did all he could to support the victim until emergency services arrived. Upon their arrival, Mark provided a clear and comprehensive handover to the first responders to assist them in their efforts. Tragically, despite the best efforts of all involved, the pedestrian later succumbed to her injuries.

The emotional weight of such a situation cannot be overstated, and yet Mark responded with calm, selfless resolve. His actions were courageous, compassionate, and deeply humane.

Mark “Receiving the Employee of the Quarter award has been filled with mixed emotions. While I am honoured and truly grateful by the recognition, I think it’s important to acknowledge that the circumstances leading to this were marked by tragedy – the loss of a life. That loss is not something I take lightly and it will always remain with me.

I did what I believed was right in the moment, not with the intention of standing out but simply to help where I could. I am grateful to those who nominated me and to my colleagues that supported me during and in the aftermath. I hope this award serves as a quiet reminder of the difference we can make – not just in times of crisis but in how we choose to treat one another every day.”

AVIATION

EMPLOYEES OF THE 2nd QUARTER

FROM OUR AVIATION DIVISION:

DHARMESH MISTRY & TERESA GUY

Congratulations to Dharmesh Mistry based at London Heathrow Airport and Teresa Guy based at Edinburgh Airport for being our Employees of the second Quarter from our Aviation Division.

Dhamesh has been recognised by both his colleagues at ICTS and Virgin Atlantic for the outstanding work he continues to deliver in Hangar Security. Since Dharmesh took on a leadership role, the CAA compliance has reached its strongest levels to date. He’s made a real impact – streamlining operations, improving oversight, and significantly reducing the hands-on involvement previously required from the Virgin Team.

Teresa’s work has been praised by Border Force - shewas conducting a search on a rush bag after she was unable to correctly identify mass within the bag. Upon conducting the search, she discovered an entire suitcase full of vacuum-packed cannabis. Upon this discovery, she identified a further x3 suitcases within the passenger’s checked-in luggage and identified that all the suitcases (x4 in total) contained cannabis. The bags had departed Hong Kong and had travelled to Doha before reaching Edinburgh. The bags were due to fly to Paris before Teresa’s intervention.

Winner(s) of the Employee of the Quarter award will receive £/€500 (net) bonus and a lapel pin.

Dharmesh — “I feel honoured to receive the Employee of the Quarter award and I would firstly like to thank those who nominated and selected me for this award. I would like to thank ICTS management team for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to work at Virgin and United Hangars.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working at both the Hangars to fulfil our clients' day to day security requirements, and I would like to thank my teams for their support and their efforts in making this possible.

Lastly, I look forward to continuing to work with our clients and I am motivated to work hard to maintain this standard for them.”

Teresa “I am truly grateful to receive the Employee of the Quarter award. After more than 20 years in the industry, it’s an honour to know that my work is still recognised and appreciated. Thank you to my colleagues and leadership for the support that makes it possible.”
