Emma (8) wants to learn how to communicate with Usoa, a little girl who died of the plague and whose spirit has been trapped inside a derelict chapel for centuries. Emma tries to convince Carol (46), a fake, non-believing medium, to help her. If she can learn to talk to Usoa, she will be able to talk to her sick mother after she dies. What Carol doesn’t realise, however, is that Emma really can communicate with the dead. Synopsis: In 1945, after the Nazi camps were liberated, Neus Català, a feminist and a republican, returns to France, where she hopes to be reunited with her husband, Albert.
