Lervik /About

Alexander Lervik is first and foremost dedicated to product and interior design. His clients are spread throughout the world with the majority in Scandinavia. The task vary from designing furniture, textile, glass as well as industrial design - to interior design of restaurants, night clubs and boutiques. Lervik manages a small firm that has the privilege to work with the most prestigious assignments within each of these areas. His jobs are almost exclusively limited to conceptual solutions where a strong idea forms the basis of the design.

AW15

His latest project is Tingest 2015, a brand offering products for the home inspired by Scandinavian design heritage. The majority of the items are manufactured in Sweden in association with carefully selected skilled craftsmen and based on a commitment to natural materials, sustainability and ecology. The creative force behind Tingest is Alexander Lervik himself, who, for the 2015 collection, invited other designers to contribute, among them are Astrid Olsson, Folkform and F채rg & Blanche.

BACK /About

BACK, by designer Ann-Sofie Back, is one of Swedish fashion’s most prominent and interesting brands right now. For this line, AnnSofie always seek inspiration in her previous mainline Ann-Sofie Back. BACK’s great success comes from offering clothing at a high fashion level in an affordable price range, which has won her several awards and a spot amongst the top fashion designers in Scandinavia.

/AW15

To mark the BACK line’s 10 th anniversary the collection has been given an air of cliché heritage. This is featured in various monogram prints, chunky charm jewellery, decorative buttons, tweed fabrics and quilted bags. The over-use of buttons as a mark of status was first explored in 2002 with Back’s first ready-towear collection; “Accidental Embarrassment”. Using fashion as masquerade, concealing who you really are rather than revealing it and the shame when found out has always played a big part in Ann-Sofie’s work and these ideas are revisited here. As a contrast, the workwear influences from AW13 is further developed here with heavy stitching, exaggerated pocket details and deranged dungaree braces. Dogtooth tweed, fringed knit and taffeta are dominant as well as the monogrammed prints on everything from t-shirts to obsessively buttoned dresses, shirts and skirts. It’s work-bourgeois.

Björn Borg /About

Björn Borg is distinguished by creative products with the brand’s typically sporty identity – products that make customers feel active and attractive. A passion for underwear and willingness to challenge the industry shines through in our marketing communications and product development.

/AW15

The Björn Borg AW15 collection focuses on materials that protect from the elements: rubberised fabrics, laminates, nylon coatings, and thermal insulations. These materials run through apparel, bags and footwear alike. Styling and prints are inspired by how people have used their bodies to protect themselves from the past to the present. From the past, inspiration comes from how ancient tribes have used body paint to intimidate their enemies. In a contemporary context, inspiration is taken from different types of body armour. This comes through in the collection as strong and geometric silhouettes, styling in the form of structural patterns such as quilting, moulded plastics, thick straps, and gloss/matt print techniques.

CHARLOTTE BONDE /About

By illuminating classic semi-precious stones and colourful glass enamelling with a refined contemporary edge, Swedish jewellery brand CHARLOTTE BONDE creates a style that transcends time. Born and raised in Stockholm, Charlotte Bonde moved to London in 2002 and graduated as a silversmith at London Metropolitan University with a HND degree in Silversmithing, Design and Fine Art. Drawing inspiration from family tradition, CHARLOTTE BONDE’s embellished designs evoke a lavish sense of history. Charlotte’s mother was raised in a family business designing women’s clothing. The patterns and fabrics dating back to that time continue to serve as an inspiration to Charlotte, as to exotic architecture such as Moorish architecture and Indian Hindu Art.

/AW15

On one of my visit at the Amber Palace in Jaipur India, I got facinated by one of the ceilings in the palace. There was a pattern made with precious stones and mother of pearl, this pattern couldn’t leave my mind and inspired me to make this collection.

Inspired by the pants used in GP motorcycle racing circa 1960’s (the era of Mike Hailwood), with zippers at the knee to house removable protection, the 5620 3D Zip Elwood brings this detail to its right knee. Available in both men’s and women’s versions, the black jeans are resin-coated, baked and then heavily washeddown – a treatment that pays tribute to Morisset’s original inspiration.

Sandra Backlund /About

Sandra Backlund, has made a name for herself with her dynamic, handmade knitted creations. “For me knitting is freedom, but at the same time the ultimate challenge. I like that you’re building the fabric while working and the way it’s both mathematical and yet permits improvisation. I don’t sketch, but invent the pieces while doing them. In that sense I guess I approach fashion more like a sculptor, then a tailor”. Grand prix winner of Festival International De Mode & De Photographie in Hyères. Selected by Franca Sozzani of Vogue Italia to be her protégé for the Protégé Project. Except from her own line Sandra Backlund has also made special knit wear pieces for brands like Louis Vuitton and Emilio Pucci.
