Today, we are facing the most critical moment in the world. The world of humanity is at a crossroads of peace or war. If we gather our hearts together today, war and destruction of humanity will be abolished, and the world of peace that we have all longed for and hoped for will be realized, becoming an eternal legacy for future generations.

India HWPL and MERI College Launch ‘Economics of Peace’
Online Curriculum
The HWPL Global 05 branch and MERI College of India have collaborated to successfully launch the ‘Economics of Peace’ online curriculum.
The curriculum was produced in collaboration with HWPL headquarters, ‘Global 01 Branch, Global 05 Branch and MERI College faculty. The course says investment in human capital, equitable resource allocation, and sustainable practices are essential components of a strong peace strategy. It also reveals the complex relationship
between economic systems and sustainable peace and explores how prosperity and stability can coexist.
The curriculum is easy for anyone to listen to anywhere in the world, and it is free to take. It will greatly contribute to the realization of the goal of spreading peace culture and cultivating citizens of peace.’
HWPL and MERI College Launched ‘Economics of Peace’
Online Curriculum in India
The curriculum consists of a total of three modules, and modules 1 and 2 deal with the importance of peace from an economic perspective, and module 3 includes the Mindanao case of HWPL and the contents of peace education based on the peace textbook.
Students can learn the core elements of peace education through Mindanao, a representative example of ending conflicts in HWPL, along with an in-depth understanding of peace from the perspective of ‘economy’.
Official start of the course began on October 5th, 2024, and about 240 students are currently taking the course at MERI College. In the future, even university students and citizens from all over the world will take the course.
An example of the launch of online peace education at MERI College shows the potential of peace education in schools around the world.
HWPL Peace Education in India Using Metaverse
Beyond several environmental constraints, such as the COVID pandemic, the platform called the Metaverse has allowed students to think more proactively and independently about peace
The metaverse is a combination of ‘meta’, which means virtual, ‘transcendent’, and ‘universe’, which means a virtual world where social, economic, and cultural activities take place like the real world. This metaverse is an advanced concept than virtual reality, and it is characterized by being able to interact like real life through avatars.
Students will learn about the law-abiding spirit and the need for peace laws to institutionalize peace in this three-time peace class held in the metaverse. Students will briefly introduce themselves in groups, play a running game to learn consideration and respect, and take quizzes on the top three peace projects in the HWPL.
They will also experience the need for a law to end the war and achieve peace through group discussions while watching the recent war on video.
HWPL Peace Education in India Using Metaverse
Q. What did you learn in the Metaverse peace education class?
A. Chetna Sharma, Jagran Public School Student
In the lesson, I learned the need for an international law to achieve peace. We need a law that can achieve peace.
Q. What was most memorable part of the Metaverse peace education class?
A. Jaivik Sharma, Jagran Public School Student
The most memorable thing for me was the first video I watched at the Peace Village Stadium.
I saw that in a war, there was no benefit to the winners, the losers, or anyone else.
So, we should all stop the war and stay peaceful.
Q. What was most memorable part of the Metaverse peace education class?
A. Ayush Kumar, Jagran Public School Student
The most memorable thing was the communication between teachers and friends in a new way. I learned peace through the means of the metaverse, not through regular online meetings.
HWPL Peace Education in India Through Peace Club
Peace Club is a club-type peace activity in irregular curriculum.
By creating programs that meet the needs of each school, each school can continue to provide peace education and peace activities.
HWPL is working with countries around the world to achieve peace across borders, races, and religions.
Among them, the Department of Peace Education conducts peace educator training and peace education in collaboration with schools and educational institutions in each country. Furthermore, we have planned the Peace Club to systematically promote peace education and peace activities and to establish a regular platform for communication for peace.
Why should we teach and learn peace?
Peace education is not about teaching a specific subject, it is about creating the minds and minds of students.
In Korea, there is a saying that a three-year-old habit goes all the way to eighty. As such, what one learned at home and at school when one was young has a lot of influence on ones life.
If you are born in India, you will learn the language and culture of India, and if you are born in Korea, you will learn the culture of Korea.
So do you want to teach your children a culture of peace or a culture of war?

Aradhya Jaiswal, Jagran Public School Student
Previously I was curious to learn about peace education because I had no clue about it. But after learning about diversity, peace education and harmony I came to know how important it is to implement in this era. It is much needed and I will also convey this message to the most of the people to bring change in the world.
Vaani Khantwal, Jagran Public School Student
By attending these lessons on peace education it is very clear that we have to bring in us a mindset that supports peace. Just reading the books or attending the classes is not enough, we have to practice what we have learnt then only we can successfully bring about peace.
Arnav Bisht, Jagran Public School Student
We are so grateful that our school is teaching so much about peace. We can now very well understand and feel the peace which exists in nature. I have shared all this with my family members and they all agree that this will go a long way in bringing peace in the society and the country as a whole.

Impression from Teachers
Tulika Dey, Jagran Public School Teacher
Firstly, I am quite honoured to become a peace educator and inspiring the young minds of this era to bring a change in this world.I am thankful to HWPL for providing me the opportunity to spread this message at large.
While taking the session in grade 7, I realized that students were taking interest and responding to my questions and were curious to learn and to do some activity in the real world to bring transformation around them. They had learn to respect different religion, culture, language and cuisines.
Moreover, they learnt and followed harmony first among themselves and then they decided to make posters on harmony and to stick in every corner of the school to spread peace everywhere, it actually installed me and made me proud as a peace educator and a teacher.
Neelam Agrahari, Jagran Public School Teacher
First of all, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to HWPL for giving me an opportunity to talk on a subject which ultimately aspire by all, as a Peace Educator.
Reflecting on today’s lecture, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude and purpose. Engaging with the pre-senior classes of Grade 8 on the topic of peace, particularly through the lens of diversity and harmony, has been immensely rewarding.
Lesson 3 ‘What Broke Peace in the World of Humankind’
Lesson 4 ‘Restoration of Order and Relation in the Human World’
Impression from Teacher and Students
Kavier, Little Steps Montessori School Student
I found that all these wars and conflicts were caused by disorder and people’s greed, and most importantly, I felt that love and understanding were the most important.
Ira, Little Steps Montessori School Student
War must be eliminated in this world, and through this time, I felt that all the world needed to understand and respect each other.
Aarti Kumari Jadeja, Little Steps Montessori School Founder Principal Director
When I was teaching Lesson 3, I taught Lesson 3 related in the Diwali festival in India, overlapping with the Diwali festival. In particular, I also announced that love and understanding are needed, not disorder, and that diversity among them should be accepted, not distant.
I also emphasized peace and harmony, and Students painted what they thought of harmony with various colors. Also, there were many cases when students were young and did not know historical concepts such as the Holocaust. So, when explaining this part, students showed a lot of interest, and they realized the tragedy of war and agreed greatly that war should be eliminated.
Lesson 3 ‘What Broke Peace in the World of Humankind’
Lesson 4 ‘Restoration of Order and Relation in the Human World’
Impression from Teachers and Students
Rudrakshi, Jagran Public School Student
This lesson made me realize how important it is to actively work towards peace in our daily lives. We often think that peace is just about avoiding conflict, but I learned that it’s also about building strong, positive relationships with others. I feel more motivated to contribute to a peaceful environment at school and in my community.
Priya Mishra, Jagran Public School Teacher
The lesson on “The Restoration of Order and Relations in the Human World” was an insightful experience for students. It was encouraging to see the students engage deeply with the concept of peace, not just as an abstract idea but as a practical, everyday responsibility. Their reflections indicated a meaningful shift in their understanding of how peace can be nurtured at an individual level. The discussions were thoughtful, and the students were eager to explore how they could apply these principles in their own lives. This reinforced my belief in the importance of peace education in shaping compassionate, responsible citizens.
Harshit,
Jagran Public School Student
I never thought about how interconnected our actions are with global peace. The idea that even small gestures can restore order and harmony in the world really resonated with me. I now understand that being a citizen of peace starts with personal responsibility and kindness towards others.
Sasi Prabha, Manthan School Teacher
As a teacher, I used these chapters to demonstrate how greed disrupts peace and highlight the crucial role of love and individual change in restoring harmony. By exploring the roots of disorder and the process of rebuilding order, students learned that true peace begins with their individual actions and extends to the global community. After the classes and activities, students showed interest in understanding more about the Israel-Palestine and Ukraine-Russia conflicts and the outcomes. They also recognized the importance of the UN in maintaining peace and reflected on their own roles in promoting peace.
Lesson 5 ‘Being Grateful for Kindness and Grace’
Lesson 6 ‘Being Considerate of the Benefit of Others’
Impression from Teachers
Nishu Priya, Manthan School Teacher
As a teacher since I have started teaching peace education, it gives me more knowledge about peace and at the same time I also learn from the students what their perspective is about.
This time I have though teachers about the importance of the attitude which they are showing towards self, parents, teachers, helping staff and friends/classmates. How their behavior affects the other person. One single word can impact them throughout their life.
Therefore, it is important to always use positive word for yourself and for others.
Sakshi Jain, Manthan School Teacher
On a personal level, peace means a sense of mental and emotional calm, free from anxiety, stress, and inner turmoil.
Peace includes self-acceptance, a sense of accomplishment, and a sense of satisfaction. By promoting cultural awareness and respect for diversity, these programs encourage students to understand and respect each other’s differences.
Lesson 7 ‘A Sacrifice without Compensation’
Lesson 8 ‘Understanding and Forgiving Others’
Impression from Teachers and Students
Mudit, Kulachi Hansraj Model School Student
I understood that sacrifice is the foundation for achieving peace. I also understood that sacrificing for others brings true peace through examples of my parents.
Ayush Chauhan, Manthan School Teacher
The Peace Ambassador activity was conducted as part of our commitment to Peace Education, which seeks to foster a culture of non-violence, empathy, and diplomacy among students. By engaging students in this simulated conflictresolution scenario, they were encouraged to think critically about global issues such as boundary disputes, ideological differences, economic disparities, and resource sharing. The activity aimed to develop their skills in negotiation, compromise, and peaceful dialogue—essential tools for preventing conflict escalation. It also helped them understand the importance of mutual respect and cooperation in solving international disputes, equipping them to become responsible global citizens who value peace over aggression.
Princi Girotra, Kulachi Hansraj Model School Teacher
Love is not an emotion of happiness. Love is a willing sacrifice heart. The HWPL session on sacrifice without compensation was held on Oct. 4, 2021.
Students were told about the importance of sacrifice in establishing and maintaining world peace, and children understood how sacrifice was an expression of devoted love that did not demand compensation.
Sacrifice is essential for humanity to live in peace. Students were told why world peace cannot be achieved due to selfishness, and students enthusiasticall participated in class discussions and shared other ways to practice small sacrifices in our.
Lesson 9 ‘Respect for Elders’
Lesson 10 ‘Efforts towards Preservation of Heritage’

Lesson 11 ‘Law-Abiding Spirit and Law of Peace’
Lesson 12 ‘Completion of Peace Humanity Has Long-awaited’
Impression from Teachers
Krishna Kant, Maharishi Arvind School Teacher
After today’s session I found that we all have to be law abided and have to be in order to maintain peace so that there will be no chance for conflicts and have to teach the students in a way that they can also maintain courtesy and respect to their elders to promote peace in the world.
Sudipta Sen, Arwachin Public School Vice Principal
The world is not yet peaceful. There are various causes that threaten lives such as terrorism, civil wars, ethnic conflicts, religious wars, etc. These countless factors that indirectly disturb peace must still be solved.
After training Now, we must all become leaders of peace to achieve world peace with our own hands. Achieving peace is not difficult. To achieve peace, we must first have “courage” and a “peace-loving heart.”
Our actions for peace are not insignificant. We must remember that this is the path for humanity, and it will leave peace to the future generations. Individuals, civil society, nations, and international organizations must all cooperate and work together to become “messengers of peace.”
HWPL is working with the youth, women, and all people of the world to work for the “completion of peace,” which is the desire of all humanity. A world of peace created through the enactment of international peace law, religious harmony, and peace education will be the greatest and most brilliant legacy to be passed onto the future generations forever.
We can achieve world peace that humanity has long-awaited. We are one!

Peace education emphasizes the unity of mankind and the importance of constantly reminding us of the principles of empathy. Peace education at all levels is the key to building a culture of peace. Peace education ultimately creates a safer world for everyone. As students participated in Peace Poster Drawing Contest, they not only improved their creativity, but also understood the importance of sharing, cooperation, harmony, respect for others, and unity. Through these activities, students learned that they could do their best by immersing themselves, designing posters, or achieving peace in society. Peace education is an experience that is not limited to classrooms, and the peace ambassadors of our schools greatly enjoyed this experience. We thank the school and HWPL for providing opportunities to students and allowing them to accept, learn, and grow up with it. We will continue to strive to establish peace as ‘WE ARE ONE’.
International law for peace
Commemorate the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War(DPCW)
An event commemorating the DPCW was held at Mantan School in India, which is cooperating with the HWPL Global 5 Branch.
A peace competition was held in four categories (Peace posters/Peace slogans/Peace letters/Making Peace laws) and an exhibition of works was also held, allowing approximately 500 students from grades 6 to 12 and their parents to learn the value of peace and commemorate the DPCW.
One student was delighted that students could participate in peace activities through the competition and exhibition. By looking at the peace posters and
slogans they made with their parents, students were able to spread and promote peace to their closest family members. This was the first step to spreading a culture of peace in civil society, and the students participated in the event with more passion as they realized that they were the main players. As a peace educator, Ashima wanted to help students realize the importance of peace and feel that they can contribute and participate in the march toward peace. During today’s event, we were able to see the students passionately spreading peace as messengers of peace. Through the competition and exhibition held today, students can deepen their learning abilities and experiences.
On March 18, 2023, an offline event to commemorate the 7th anniversary of the DPCW was held at the Kulachi Hanzraj Model School in India, with a total of 84 people in attendance, including 9 teachers and 75 members of the public.
The event consisted of a peace declaration commemorative speech, watching a video introducing the DPCW, writing a peace letter, and an appointment ceremony for public relations ambassadors.
Principal Sne Bulma was appointed as the HWPL public relations ambassador, and teacher Yash Kumar gave a commemorative speech.
Participants shared their thoughts on peace through the peace letter and sympathized with the need to support the DPCW, and students wrote peace letters urging support for the DPCW.
Not only students and teachers, but also parents participated, which served as an opportunity to spread awareness of peace to the home.
Teacher Gunpreet Kaur was proud that everyone participated in the event with one heart. And teacher Komal Grover said that this experience was an opportunity to look back on practical measures for peace.
Through the event, the values of HWPL and DPCW were positively conveyed to the entire school community. We plan to expand peace education activities in various schools in India in the future.

‘Eco Ten Minutes’ Project
Legacy that will be passed down to future generations Spreading Peace Culture through Environmental Protection
Eco Ten Minutes Project is the peace project through environmental purification to spread peace culture based on peace textbooks under the vision of ‘change the future with just 10 minutes of action’. It has been implemented through eco-plogging and classroom environment purification in India and many other countries around the world.
Today, in the 21st century, the world is facing with numerous environmental challenges that must be addressed in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations by 2030. This global action plan, adopted in 2015, contains specific measures to realize a fair, prosperous, and environmentally respectful world within 10 years. However, the United Nations warns that the goal is being achieved late, and that it is time for us to ask ourselves whether we have time left to save the Earth.
In the midst of this, HWPL has been attracting attention by carrying out the ‘Eco Ten Minute’ environmental campaign in three cities in India: Hazaribagh, New Delhi, and Ratnagiri last month. This campaign delivered the message that sustainable peace is possible when nature and the mind are nurtured together through a unique educational model that combines environmental protection and peace education.
Students Review of Participation the ‘Eco Ten Minutes’ Activity
※ This survey was conducted with 2,016 students from Schools who actually participated in the Eco 10-minutes activity.
Do you think the Eco Ten Minute Activity was safe and well-organized?
Would you like to join the Eco Ten Minute Activity again? Q1. Q2. Q3. Q4.
Did you feel that you were helping the community through this activity?
After this activity, do you think we should keep the streets and environment cleaner?
After this activity, did you become more interested in cleaning and the environment at school or home?
HWPL ‘Eco Ten Minutes’ Project
It was a thoughtful initiative of cleaning the school campus, which the students enjoyed and did not hesitate to pick up and clean the garbage. This small act is a stepping stone for a cleaner India. The students, joined by the school faculty, created an awareness among the future youth of India. Careless people are the root cause of pollution. There should be future initiatives as this. Together, we will transform the society.
The cleaning up activity of the surroundings of our school, as part of the HWPL program, was an inspiring and impactful experience for many. The students felt a sense of responsibility and pride in contributing to the well -being of the environment and the community. The activity fostered team work and unity, as everyone worked together to improve the cleanliness of the school surroundings, reflecting the values of peace and cooperation promoted by HWPL.
Many expressed a strong sense of satisfaction after seeing the tangible results of their efforts. There was also a deeper understanding of the importance of environmental preservation in promoting global peace. Overall, the initiative not only helped make the surroundings cleaner but also encouraged a greater commitment to sustainable practices and collective responsibility for a better future.

Legacy that will be passed down to future generations Spreading Peace Culture through Environmental Protection
Kulachi Hansraj Model School(KHMS) organised a Cleanliness Drive - Eco Ten Minutes Activity. The event was a remarkable success, witnessing active and enthusiastic participation from students across all classes.
Shramdaan - a Sanskrit word meaning “an offering of one’s labour” - was at the heart of the activity._ Students voluntarily contributed their physical effort to clean not only their classrooms and school corridors, but also the school ground and nearby areas, reinforcing the values of service and community care.
Students brought eco-friendly cleaning materials such as dusting cloths, gloves, and spray bottles from home. They actively cleaned their immediate learning environment and extended their efforts to outdoor spaces. Creative posters on cleanliness, prepared by students, were displayed in classrooms to raise awareness and spread the message further.
In alignment with HWPL’s Eco 10 Minutes campaign, students observed a focused half an hour period of mindful cleaning and reflection, recognising how even a brief moment of collective action can bring lasting change.
The drive fostered a sense of unity, responsibility, and environmental consciousness. More importantly, it helped raise students as peacemakers - individuals who care for their surroundings and understand the value of peace, sustainability, and collaboration. Also this drive was more than a cleanliness initiative; it was a lesson in action, empathy, and global citizenship. Through our collaboration with HWPL, students experienced how small, selfless actions can indeed lead to a cleaner, more peaceful world!

Ms. Charu Gambhir Bajaj
KHMS Senior Wing Supervisor Head
Hello everyone.
I am Charu Gambhir Bajaj, and I work at KHMS Delhi, India. I believe peace is not just absence of conflict but it’s also about how we treat each other - with love , respect and kindness. Peace is the presence of understanding, which involves listening to others and being empathetic. Even a small action of help, listening to another person, lending a helping hand can help bring peace in society. No religion teaches greediness, selfishness and getting involved in wars. Religion is all about maintaining order, love and peace in society.
Conflicts are natural and exist everywhere even in classrooms, but handling them with discussions and talks can make all the difference.
In HWPL sessions I observed that people from different parts of the world have joined and are talking about peace, so it is clear that everybody wants peace.
I believe that if we inculcate the values of love, empathy and understanding in young minds we can bring a big change in the world around us. I consider myself lucky to be in the teaching profession where I can help children embibe these values and work towards creating a better and peaceful place for all.
‘PEACE begins with me’ , so if I become a peace educator and be peaceful myself, I can create peaceful students who will help create a peaceful world tomorrow.I have read the HWPL material shared with us and I liked the short and inspiring stories in it. I would like to share these stories with my children at KHMS and help children become peacemakers.
Thank you all and thanks to the HWPL team for this opportunity and helping me become a peace educator.

Namaskar, myself Dr. Sakshi Sharma from Arwachin Public School, India.
I am a budding PEACE EDUCATOR. When I was introduced to peace education program in November 2022 I have to say this. I was instantly hooked and while I got this opportunity to tell you something about peace education program. I would urge you all to join your hands together with us so that we can bring the peace in this world and we can provide this peaceful world to our next generation. because you know when I was introduced to the concept I loved the concept and I have immediately started implementing those activities in my school.
I have seen amazing positive changes in my children. you all must be aware of the dire situation called PANDEMIC and that has somehow slowed down the pace of life. Our kids they were the most affected ones during the lockdown situation because they were not able to cope with the situation and they were facing the major mental breakdown.

So, we as teachers understood that something is required and that was the time after two years, schools were open and we were introduced to peace education program. I as an educationist felt that this is the most important thing that I need in my school so I have signed the MOU with the HWPL and I have started implementing those activities in my school.
And you know the major beautiful changes that I have observed are that now they are less aggressive, they look at the situation with positive attitude. They are very grateful for the things they have, they understand the concept of sacrifice without compensation. They are more concerned about the environment, about their health. They are looking after the things that they know, because they are the future. And they need to look out this for their own good self.
It is the most beautiful thing that peace education is inculcating in our students. It has a very beautiful curriculum. They are any which ways smarter to take better decisions in life. So, it’s very important that not just physically but one has to be mentally strong as well. and peace education is focusing on that only.
In my best of knowledge in my understanding I have felt that peace education is focusing on 5 major points; LOVE, PEACE, HARMONY, GRATITUDE and SACRIFICE WITHOUT COMPENSATION.
So, we understand the importance of peace but some how we have forgotten that how we can achieve it or how we can create peace. and we need to understand what HWPL is emphasizing on and our children don’t deserve a world where war prevails. they don’t deserve a world where everyone is fighting about every small or big thing. So they (HWPL) talk about future generations and what we want our children to get and deserve a peaceful world and what we should want.

I’m Aarti Kumari Jadeja, a peace educator and founder principal director of Little Steps Montessori School, and Maharani Priti Devi School Buchkatch.
We have started peace education since a few years in collaboration with HWPL and I’m very thankful for that team to be continuously monitoring, guiding us in taking peace education forward in this world.
The reason I joined the peace educators from world over was that religion was creeping into our classroom and that is something which is not good and it was very disturbing to see that we are nurturing children right from the pre primary and we have started pre primary education and we are inculcating the peaceful values in India our value system.
We teach a lot of spirituality and values in our school curriculum and we have taken it on with HWPL to connect with the world to give the right message.
There are several peace activities which we do in school simple things like storytelling, prayers, through dance
forms or through the drama. We are inculcating peace on a daily basis in our school.
Our teachers are also sensitized and our children are working with the community for the environment and also to bring about compassion in them the community.
Now the message which I would like to give all peace educators from around the world is that together we can definitely work towards a peaceful world once we rise above the egos and we teach children preservation and compassion and gratitude.
If we all do that in our own little ways and God has made each one of us in our different manners.
We learn to accept differences and we learn to take hand, hold each other and take each other forward.
That would be a, most, a wonderful process and in this way we could build a peaceful world.
We are one all the best to all of you for a peaceful mission.
We have prepared some recommendations regarding the development of the HWPL Peace Education Program, I hope that the Indian national government or state department of education and relevant departments will adopt the HWPL Peace Education Program at the national or state level.
Support to HWPL Peace Education Program
Indian national or state education departments and relevant departments can support the HWPL program by conducting awareness campaigns for teachers, parents, and students about the importance of peace and nonviolence.
Peace Educator Training
Ensuring that teachers receive proper training to teach HWPL peace classes. This may include training teachers on the fundamental principles and values of peace and providing the resources and materials needed to use them in classrooms.
Integration into the regular curriculum
HWPL encourages the inclusion of the HWPL Peace Education Program in value education, such as the official education plan of the Indian State or State Department of Education and CBSE’s Value Education. This will help ensure that all schools and students have access to the program, internalize peace values through activities and experiences, and receive a systematic education in understanding international cultures.
international exchange
It is to promote international exchange between students and teachers by participating in the HWPL Peace Education Program.
