Formed in 1955 by Doris and Gil Medcalf who were previously involved at their local side Eton Manor before moving to SouthendOn-Sea, we have been proud members of the Essex Senior League since 1985 and we have been playing at our Southchurch Park home since that same year as well.

Our earlier history prior to 1985 saw us join the Southend Youth League in 1959 before moving onto joining the Southend Borough Combination League in 1964. Our time in the Borough Combination was a successful one as we were winners of the Premier Division over six times over the course of the 1970's and 1980's.

In 1991, we won our first and only Essex Senior League title with runners up having been achieved twice in 1999-2000 and 2011-12. Our furthest run in the FA Cup was also in 2011-12 when we managed to reach the Fourth Qualifying Round before bowing out to Kettering Town.

In 2019, Steven Robinson was succeeded by Jerry Omango as chairman of the club after a seven year spell in charge of the club.

Jerry has made several improvements to the club including new stands and perimeter fencing. The club has been built up to 17 teams with the youth section as strong as it has been in decades.

HUTTON FC HISTORY

The club was founded in 1928 and has been prominent in local football since that time with cup winner’s medals dating back to 1932 A key factor in the continued success of Hutton Football Club is the progression of young, local players The senior teams played in the Mid Essex League until 1989 when progression was made into the Essex Intermediate, now the Essex Olympian League The Club expanded rapidly after 2005 with the merger of Hutton FC and Hutton Medway FC (established in 1969) The Club now has 70 teams based in our local community

The current club house has been at the Polo Fields for over 50 years, two previous buildings being destroyed by fire, and the second one having been struck by lightning In 2010, the Clubhouse was vandalised and set on fire but has now been repaired and enhanced thanks to a large grant from Sport England.

Recent history has seen more rapid developments at the club The Football Association awarded Hutton FC with Charter Standard Community status which is the highest accreditation a club can achieve In 2005, when the award was granted, there were only nine clubs in the whole of Essex with this status. The Club is very proud to have been awarded Community Club of the year twice by Essex County FA The club has been encouraging girls to come and play for a number of years, and in 2005 the first official Hutton girls’ team was formed and since then, our Ladies 1st and reserve teams have been added to help with progression.

The Club has been involved in a European Tournament played against professional clubs' youth teams, with outstanding facilities. The Clubs are; Saint Ingbert (Germany), Rumelange (Luxembourg) and Zandhoven (Belgium). The tournament celebrates its 50th year in 2025. Our senior men’s 1st team won the EOFL premier division 2022/23 season gaining promotion to the NLS, playing in the Thurlow Nunn League South

Today is a big game for our lads. Our home form needs to improve and today is a good opportunity to start that.

Our last game aside, Southend Manor have proven to be a tough side to break down for many of the top sides. They will work hard and make it difficult for us. We will need to be up for the game as we were at their place, early on in the season.

Thanks to everyone who has come to support. The home attendance has grown from last season and up there as one of the highest in the division.

THURLOW NUNN - FIRST DIVISION SOUTH

Hutton U7 Orange are a fantastic group of boys who play in the Brentwood League and are managed by Trevor and Matt

The team only recently started playing matches and tournaments together from this season but are developing extremely well week on week and working very hard together as a team. The boys dedication, determination and teamwork, all while maintaining a sense of fun on the pitch have been truly impressive. They've been winning most games and scoring lots of goals, which is a great start for them as a team.

At the beginning of the season, the team faced some setbacks with a couple of major injuries, leaving them short on players. Despite these challenges, the boys have demonstrated remarkable resilience and an admirable sense of team spirit. The boys have bonded closely, becoming not just teammates but good friends, which has made coaching them a true pleasure.

Sunday was a historic day for Hutton FC and their girls and ladies section as the First team took on Leyton Orient in the Adobe FA Cup 3rd round qualifier for a place in the 1st Round Proper awaiting the winners

Our Ladies First team managed by Darren Stacey and Luke Stone have had a good start to the season winning 4 of their 5 league games and beating Clapton and higher division opponents Enfield in previous Fa Cup rounds Leyton Orient came to Hannakins Farm Community Centre having recently acquired a major investment from a USA source into their womens section and boasting ex USA International striker Stephanie McCaffrey in their starting line up

With a crowd of over 150 people this contest kicked off and it was Hutton that started the more confident passing the ball around in midfield and only took 5 minutes when young right winger Holly Appleton,who only turned 18 the day before, was played through by a delightful ball by captain Abi Carke ,her speed allowing her to drive into the box and getting her shot away which was finely saved by the Orient keeper Hutton kept up the pressure and 5 minutes later opened the scoring when midfielder Millie Staceys ball clipped over the top of Orients defense saw striker Daisy Canny run on to and lob the goalkeeper from 25 yards ,1-0 Hutton

From then on it was Leyton Orient who settled the better team and although having more of the ball couldnt find a way through the hard tackling Hutton midfield or defence Orient had only two half chances the rest of the half untill the 43rd minute when a quality defence splitting pass saw McCaffrey run on into the box and just getting to the ball before the young 17 year old Hutton goalie Evie Carvell,quickly coming off her line was judged to have clipped the strikers right foot and a penalty was awarded The ex USA International calmy slotted away to make it 1-1 However almost immediately Hutton responded with the talented Lucy Critchell playing the ball out wide on the left to her sister Hayley to run on toHayley drove down the wing and cross to the ever present Canny who slotted in the far corner2-1 Hutton right on half time

The second half became a very scrappy midfield battle with either side being able to break down defencesNumerous times Orient tried to find McCaffreys skills but the combination of Kayleigh Franklin and Izzy Crichton marked her superblyAs the game went on Orient tried more ariel balls into the box yet the defence marshalled extremely well by Phoebe Keys and Molly Bowness heading presence kept Orient at bayWith 25 minutes left the management started to introduce much needed substitutes Charlotte Rutt,Isobel Boyd and Megan Gerrish to freshen up the embattled Hutton midfieldThis certainly done the trick as on the 80th minute after a brief spell of Hutton pressure a back pass from Orient allowed Canny (who used to play in Arsenal team with Ellen White) to tackle the keeper and steal the ball off her and slot into the net for her hatrick3-1 Ten minutes of constant high pressure in the Hutton box occured yet Carvell in goal and her defence stopped any clear cut chance by Orient to finally secure the historic win 3-1

Speaking after the game manager Darren Stacey said "The girls were all fantastic,we always feel like we can score,so we kept our defensive shape superbly and just battled away in midfield,taking many knocks but just kept at itHutton girls and Ladies section really has a buzz about it this seasonBehind the scenes for many years now hard work has been put in and now we finally have Flints Community Ground Open,girls teams all the way from little Wildcats to 3 ladies teamsWe had 5 teenagers on the pitch today which shows our active player pathway is working,its fantastic"

We are pleased to announce that our new ground, Flint’s Community Sports Hub was officially opened by the Mayor of Brentwood 13th July 2024. The opening event a successful youth tournament held over two days marked the occasion and we now continue to develop the site and look forward to seeing our youth teams coming together playing on this exceptional surface.
