It was the luxury, the convenience and even more than we were hoping for It felt like a resort.

I’m so fortunate to have lived in a home with such an amazing community, surrounded by many new and old friends. This apartment holds many milestones for me, as it was my rst apartment (and I was the rst tenant), the apartment I graduated college in, got engaged in, got married in, and started my own business in. I could not be more blessed To whoever lives in the apartment after me, please take care of it!

I’ve never seen a rental community put in this much effort to make sure things are done right. Even before it was done, it was so beautiful to me.

SWFL Team Takes on A Day of Caring with United Way! United Way is an incredible organization providing essential resources to schools, families, and neighborhoods in need. The SWFL team spent on morning this march sorting donations that will be distributed to the various agencies United Way partners with. The team is excited about this new partnership and looks forward to further supporting the Hawthorne communities through United Way’s efforts Stepping outside of their daily tasks to give back is how they truly Live It and make a lasting impact on their communities!

Q1 Live It Stories

Compassion in Action

As Community Manager at Hawthorne at Stillwater, she’s known for her love of animals and her compassion for people. A few years ago, she started a nonprot to support both. Before the holidays, her group received a request from Deborah, who needed supplies for her cat, Ted When she delivered them, she learned Deborah had lost her job, was living in an old camper, and facing open-heart surgery The camper was clean but poorly insulated with water damage. She returned with more supplies and gift cards—but couldn’t stop thinking about Deborah recovering in the cold. She brought patching materials and found more damage. When she asked the Hawthorne maintenance team for advice, George and Pete stepped in. On their lunch break, they sealed the camper and added insulation to keep Deborah warm. A small act of kindness made powerful by a team with heart.

The team at Hawthorne at the Station was proud to LIVE IT! They delivered sweet treats to the local rst responders as a small token of appreciation for everything they do to keep the beach town a safe place to call home It was moments like this that truly reected the heart of the Live It culture giving back to the community and showing gratitude for those who make a difference.

Habitat for Humanity

Warm hearts and full bellies! The teams at Hawthorne at the Station and Hawthorne at Murrayville were thrilled to be able to #LIVEIT for their local Habitat for Humanity by providing lunch for the college volunteers. It was a great opportunity to show appreciation and thank them for all their hard work!

Just a quick shoutout to one of Hawthorne at the Green’s own Ellie, a truly stellar leasing agent. One morning, a team member happened to catch her walking a resident to their car, just to make sure they were taken care of It was a simple, thoughtful moment that perfectly captured the kind of compassion Ellie brings to our community every day. These are the little things that make a big difference—and remind us what Hawthorne heart is all about.

A quick LIVE IT moment from Hawthorne at Brightwood Farm! When a resident’s car wouldn’t start, Lane, the community’s outstanding Maintenance Supervisor, stepped in without hesitation to give it a jump. His willingness to help and genuine care for residents truly embody what it means to LIVE IT. Hawthorne at Brightwood Farm is lucky to have Lane leading the way!

Birthday Surprises at Oasis at Surfside

The team at The Oasis at Surfside had a blast spreading birthday cheer throughout the community! They were out and about delivering birthday cards to residents, making sure everyone feels a little extra special on their big day. Celebrating residents and creating moments of joy is just one of the many ways the team brings warmth and connection to the community.

The team at Hawthorne at Horse Pen Creek took a moment to LIVE IT by showing a little extra care for one of their residents recovering from surgery. They hand-delivered packages straight to the resident’s door, along with some Hawthorne swag to help keep them hydrated and supported during recovery It’s these small acts of kindness that make the Hawthorne experience truly feel like home.

The team at Hawthorne at Palmetto put together four special Sunshine Kits to brighten the days of some amazing residents! Whether it was celebrating a new job, offering support during a tough time, lifting the spirits of someone feeling under the weather, or welcoming a new neighbor who just moved from out of state each gift was a reminder that they’re seen, supported, and valued. It’s all part of living out the #LiveIt culture with heart.

The team at Inspiration at South Pointe is shining bright thanks to their Maintenance Supervisor, Francisco Perez! Francisco, along with Cody, took the initiative to clean the pond themselves, saving the community hundreds of dollars. Their commitment to going above and beyond truly reects the spirit of the LIVE IT! initiative. A huge thank you to the entire Resident Services Team for all they do to keep the community looking its best!

Maintenance Supervisor, Luis, truly LIVED IT today at Hawthorne at Main! When a resident accidentally threw their keys into the compactor, Luis immediately took action. He didn’t hesitate to climb into the compactor and successfully retrieve the keys. His dedication and quick thinking are a perfect example of the #LIVEIT spirit in action!

The team at Stephen Point went above and beyond with door-to-door delivery service for residents today! Packages were hand-delivered right to their doors, ensuring convenience and care every step of the way. It’s just another way the team brings extra support and personalized service to make life easier for our residents

The team at Hawthorne at the Parkway found a way to spread sunshine despite the weather! They surprised residents with heartfelt handwritten notes and delightful treats, showing genuine appreciation for their community. Spring Market Highlights

The Spring Market at Integra Woods was a hit! With incredible local vendors, delicious Chick-l-A on-site, and a great turnout, the energy was high and the smiles were nonstop. Residents came out to browse, shop, and show their support for small businesses making it a fun and festive day all around. (Just a sneak peek pictured plenty more vendors joined the fun!)

Bookish Sips Social

Hawthorne at Westport recently hosted a Blind Date with a Book event, and it was a hit! Residents had the chance to pick a wrapped book based on a mysterious description, sparking excitement and curiosity. It was a unique way to encourage reading, share favorite stories, and discover new genres all while creating a fun community experience. Thanks to everyone who joined in and made it a memorable day! Kindness Week

Hawthorne celebrated Kindness Week as part of the Hawthorne Experiences Program! During the week, the team intentionally set aside time to go above and beyond for our residents, leading with heart and creating meaningful moments that made a difference. It was a special opportunity to show extra care and compassion, ensuring every resident felt valued and supported. While Kindness Week was an extra focus, this is something we do every day bringing kindness, care, and connection to our communities. We’re proud of the lasting impact we make together.

When Pender County Animal Shelter put out a call for help, the Wilmington market didn’t hesitate. With compassion leading the way, our teams came together and delivered two full carloads of dog and cat food for pets in need. Making Waves, the Harbours Way

This past weekend, the team at The Harbours— alongside their families joined the Space Coast Apartment Association’s Beach Clean-Up Event to make a meaningful impact beyond their community walls. Living out Hawthorne’s Live It culture, the team showed that care doesn’t stop at the workplace it extends into the neighborhoods and natural spaces they’re proud to be part of. From sandy shores to shared values, The Harbours is leading with heart.

The Greenville/Simpsonville team rolled up their sleeves and spent the day volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and what a day it was! From painting living rooms and closets to nearly completing a new deck and installing shelving, the team brought heart, hustle, and a whole lot of teamwork. It was more than just a volunteer day it was a powerful reminder of what it means to Live It by giving back and building stronger communities, one brushstroke and board at a time.

The RTP teams showed up big for Live It Volunteer Day and the impact was just as big. Together, they sorted 7,000 bags of apples, totaling 8,500 pounds of fresh produce for local families in need It was a powerful day of service, teamwork, and heart. By rolling up their sleeves and leaning into the work, these teams embodied what Live It is all about: living our values and lifting up the communities we’re proud to be part of.

When one of our newest residents hit a few bumps during move-in, the team at Legacy at Lake Charles showed up with heart and hospitality. From a tail-wagging welcome for Hendrix the Dachshund to thoughtful gestures that say <we see you,= this team proves that small acts of kindness can leave the biggest impression.

At The Oasis at Surfside, Renay went the extra mile literally and guratively by helping a long-time resident set up her SunPass account and install the transponder in her vehicle. In true Live It fashion, the Tuscaloosa teams came together to knock out Q2 preventive maintenance inspections at Water Oak and they did it with hustle, heart, and serious teamwork From start to nish, the collaboration on display was a reminder of what makes Hawthorne strong: people who show up for each other and take pride in doing the job right Huge thanks to everyone who pitched in you’re the reason we keep raising the bar!

At Legacy at Lake Charles, the seamless collaboration between the maintenance team and the Property Manager continues to shine. Whether it’s a major repair or a small x like xing a door lock the team responds swiftly and thoughtfully, ensuring residents feel supported without added stress It’s this kind of everyday partnership that denes the Hawthorne experience. Huge shoutout to an incredible crew for showing what great teamwork really looks like!

At 2950 North, going the extra mile isn’t just a saying it’s a way of life. During his lunch break, service tech Tim didn’t hesitate to help a young resident with bike troubles, jumping into action without a second thought. Meanwhile, the team made sure that Ms Martha, a beloved resident, got exactly what she was craving a cheeseburger from Pete’s of Simpsonville, delivered just in time for lunch. These thoughtful gestures are what Live It is all about: meeting everyday moments with care, connection, and a whole lot of heart.

Talent with a Heart for Impact

The Talent Acquisition team took their passion for people beyond the ofce spending the afternoon cleaning up the shoreline at Lake Brandt. With trash bags in hand and teamwork in full force, they embraced the Live It spirit by giving back to the local environment and setting an example of what it means to lead with purpose It’s more than a clean-up it’s a commitment to community, connection, and care.

Sophia is a sweet young girl who lives at Hawthorne at Main with her family. Though they’ve only been part of the community for a short time while searching for a permanent home, she’s already made a lasting impression. Tymberlyn Chavis and a fellow team member have formed a special friendship with her Sophia’s kindness and joyful spirit brighten every room she enters Over the weekend, she invited <everyone we love= (in her words) to a tea party by the pool. Her mom and dad, along with the team member’s husband and stepson, joined in for games of Candy Land and Go Fish, plus plenty of cookies. The next day, Sophia stopped by the ofce to draw pictures, share her dolls, and leave sweet handwritten notes something she often does to spread joy.

A heartfelt thank you to Antonio Garner for bringing light and wisdom to 2950 North Apartments and to one team member personally. His advice has already begun shaping how they approach their leasing role and career path. Antonio shared a story about a mail carrier that truly resonated, reminding the team of their own Jewel, who consistently goes above and beyond. Inspired by Antonio’s message that leadership starts with heart, the team member followed his lead with a small act of kindness surprising Jewel with her favorite treats and making sure she had drinks to stay hydrated

A Live It Moment for the Win!

Yesterday, the team received a noise concern from a neighbor who mentioned hearing a woman crying. After checking in, they learned that one of their new Residents was experiencing a very difcult separation. Today, the team chose to turn the moment into something meaningful bringing owers, a heartfelt card, and her favorite snacks to brighten her day. The gesture not only lifted her spirits, but also brought a sense of joy and connection to the Westport team Sometimes, it’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do

A Brightwood Dinner

The Moore family holds a special place in the hearts of the team. Mrs. Moore has been bravely battling breast cancer and recently underwent amputation surgery on her right leg due to complications from her illness. A dinner from her favorite pizza place was a small gesture to show support and care during such a challenging time.

Coastal Community Baby Shower

When Tabitha Sandlin learned that a local OBGYN was hosting a community baby shower for expecting families in need, she rallied the Coastal NC region to support the cause. The team came together to donate diapers, wipes, and all the essentials showing up for their neighbors in a meaningful way. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed!

The team at Evolve Waterford had a tee-ric time hosting a Resident golf night! Events like these are all about creating space for neighbors to relax, connect, and enjoy each other’s company. From putts to laughs, it was a night full of fun, community, and memory-making.

At Hawthorne at the Parkway, the team hit the streets for a Popsicle Patrol delivering icy treats and big smiles to residents on a warm day. From poolside handoffs to doorstep drop-offs, it was a simple way to show appreciation and build connection. It’s the little moments like these that bring the Live It culture to life thoughtful, fun, and full of heart.

The team at Tides at Shallotte served up something special with a hands-on pasta-making workshop that brought neighbors together for an evening of food, laughter, and connection From our-covered counters to freshly rolled fettuccine, residents had the chance to bond over a shared love of good food and great company. This is what Live It is all about creating experiences that turn neighbors into friends and apartments into home.
