Bulldogs win two in tournament, Campbell named toAll-Tourney Team The Howe Bulldogs (4-2) started the week with a 36-34 win at Lindsay that say junior Jacob Campbell score a team-leading 31 points and rip down 10 rebounds in the win. Cooper Jones and Noah Riley had the other four points in the game with two each. The Bulldogs then entered the Celeste tournament where they went 2-2 with wins over Lone Oak and Celeste. Howe opened the tournament with a 50-29 loss to Sam Rayburn. The Rebels jumped out to a quick 14-8 lead to finish the first and then went on an 110 run in the second. Howe was led by Anthony Lowder’s nine points with Campbell and Jones each adding eight each. Later, Howe lost to Farmersville on Friday, 44-31. Riley led Howe with 12 points and tied with Jones for the lead in rebounds with seven. Other scorers were Lowder (9), Gabriel Davila (7), Jones (2), and Kaleb Taylor (1). The Bulldogs got their first win in the tournament over Lone Oak. Campbell led Howe with 17 points on 7-of-19 shooting. He also had four rebounds. Jones ripped down 10 rebounds to lead Howe. Howe walked away with a 53-48 win and were led by Campbell who eventually would be named to the AllTournament team. The Bulldogs will host Wolfe City on Tuesday before entering another tournament in Blue Ridge beginning Thursday.
