Former Howe track star sets UT Tyler 800 meter record

Marissa Agee, a freshman at the University of Texas at Tyler, is the latest runner for UT Tyler Women's Track and Field to claim the women's 800 meter school record after breaking the record by just 0.14 seconds with a time of 2:20.27. While at Howe, she ran twice at the UIL State Track Meet and very well could have been three times had it not been for the cancellation of the meet in

2020. Agee owns the Howe school record in 800 meters also when she ran an incredible time of 2:15.93 in 2019. She finished seventh overall in the State of Texas last May with a time of 2:25.40. Agee is a Class of 2021 Howe High School graduate and is the daughter of Brian and Ginger Agee.
