Semi fire loaded with pork butts shuts down US Highway 75 to one lane Monday

The Howe Police Department responded to a truck fire early Monday morning. The semitruck loaded with pork butts had caught fire on southbound US Highway 75 in front of Southwest Auction. The highway was down to one lane from 6:10 am until after 1 pm. Howe Police Chief Carl Hudman reported no injuries on the scene. City crew members including
Blake Hamrick and Mike Rivard worked tirelessly to clean up the highway that was littered with product and debris. Gunter Volunteer Fire Department and TxDOT were also on the scene to help out.
