Lone Stars Hoops returns to Howe for 20th year For the 20th consecutive summer, Lone Stars Hoops Camp is approaching Howe parents with information regarding a traditional basketball event that their kids may have come to love and even count on to help develop what they like to refer to as the player's "5points" of sound fundamental basketball skills - shooting, passing, ball-handling, footwork and defense.
Students at the American Museum of Natural History. few blocks away when the helicopter crashed into the top of a building last week. They were stuck in traffic and confused about what had happened. They immediately told relatives that they were safe. Upon arrival, the first thing the group did was visit the Rockefeller Center and travel to the Top of the Rock and then got a chance to ride the famous New York Subway. "It wasn't as crowded as you would think," said Daniels. "We only rode it once." Daniels said the most memorable part of the trip was the 9/11 Museum and Memorial. "They had the fire trucks, videos of the wreckage, steel, and the actual steps that the people had to walk down," said Daniels. Due to a delay with the elevator, the students were only able to go up to five flights in the Empire State Building. They were also able to visit Wall Street, Central Park, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. The group even got to take in the Broadway Play Phantom of the Opera. "It was packed. They were trying to get as many people as they could in there," said Daniels. "I couldn't really understand what they were saying because it was an
opera." Daniels was impressed with the organization of the Broadway show and how quick they could change the stage setting. The four days and three-night trip had them staying in New Jersey where they would travel to Manhattan through the Lincoln Tunnel. Asked if Daniels had any claustrophobic issues during the trip through the tunnel, the softspoken and stoic young man stated that he slept through the ride which completely answered that question. He stated that it was a very busy and noisy place that he would not want to live in. Although, a month visit would be okay. On his next visit, he'll have to experience the famous street pizza, but he was able to experience lamb and chicken over rice from a food truck. Daniels was part of the group that traveled to Boston a year ago and says that New York seems more modern compared to Boston which is more of a historic city. Next year's trip will be to Washington D.C. Those interested can visit the following link for more information. https://urlzs.com/HGS3H

Fortunately, current coaches like Derek Lands and former boys coach Tim Rose have felt that a high-intensity, "total-immersion", fast-paced, positively-spirited basketball event may make a difference in the always-important
off-season period where great progress can be made. Over this two-decade-long period of time, Lone Star Hoops LLC has helped to offer a great summer event for elementary and middleschool boys and girls where they can polish their skills among some of the top prep instructors in the game. Kids have a great time learning the skills-of-champions while competing in contests, tournaments, circuit "masterteaching" sessions, half-court games, full-court league-play and opportunities to embrace the "PBs" of competition..."Personal-Bests"!
