Bulldogs win in overtime to remain perfect in district play It took overtime action, but Howe (8-6, 3-0) remained perfect in district play by beating Farmersville, 58-55. The Bulldogs had to overcome a slow start in which they trailed, 14-10 after the first quarter and 28-20 at the half. But Ty Harvey, who was shutout in the first half, dominated the third quarter with eight of his 14 total points. Freshman Noah Campbell hit three 3-pointers at key moments in the game to keep Howe alive and in the game. At the end of regulation, the teams were tied, 5151. The Bulldogs defense, much improved from a year ago, allowed only four points to Farmersville in overtime for the win.

down Whitewright, 60-54 with Harvey again leading the Dogs' in scoring with 15 points. Howe led 21-9 after the first quarter and 37-21 at the half. But Whitewright rallied and made things interesting for what was to become Head Coach Eric Johns' 300th career varsity high school victory. Howe gave up 23 points to the Tigers in the third quarter including a 16-0 run by Whitewright. However, the Bulldogs outlasted the Tigers in the final stanza, 11-9 to hang on for the win.

After leaving the military, Castellanos continued his passion to serve his community as a police officer. He was a patrol officer with the Sherman Police Department where he was also a member of the SWAT team.

Castellanos exemplified many of the principals we try to teach our youth through youth sports - selfrespect, hard work and dedication. Additionally, he was an amazing husband and father, dedicated police officer, selfless veteran, and trusted friend.
