Home Hospice of Grayson, Cooke and Fannin Counties offers Caregiver Support Group Howe, TX, January 30, 2017 – Jim Rohn said, “One person caring about another represents life's greatest value.” But being a caregiver can be a scary proposition to someone who has never cared for a loved one before. There are lots of questions and uncertainties. Caregivers often feel as if they have more things to do than they can handle and no time for themselves. Judith L London states, “Caregivers are often the casualties, the hidden victims. No one sees the sacrifices they make.” Are you caring for a spouse, parent, or another person who is ill? Are you confused about what to do, what questions to ask, and where to get help? In our Caregiver Support Group,

you will meet other caregivers allowing you to network and be better prepared to have conversations with medical providers when you talk about care, needs, finances, and legal options. You will also learn how to safely care for someone as they require more attention from you. A key part of the support group is helping you be better prepared to take care of yourself. The caregiver support group provides information about the mechanics of caring for your loved one, as well as tools for selfcare while providing care to your loved one. Caring for self is not selfish. Caring for self is imperative. Those attending the support group have the chance to learn about a

wide range of topics, including physical care, care of the caregiver, emotional concerns, and questions to ask their physician.
