Howe Middle School students have been going through a book called 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens as a guide of developing habits of excellence. They were challenged by HMS Principal Clay Wilson to create an image of what their goals for their life are as far as the places they want to go and things they want to do. Those ideas were captured and placed on poster boards.

activities.

Kori Bouse, Skylar Sullivan, Madison Joseph, Catelyn Armstrong, Talia Bjorn, and Erin Catching each gave a presentation on what their ideas are for their life.

Caden Garner and Mahlon Walker gave a demonstration on chemical change. Armed with safety glasses and gloves, the boys first spoke about using chemicals such as rigid foam and polyurethane. The boys then mixed two chemicals together and made a large amount of foam rise from the Styrofoam cups they were mixing it in.

Four of Stacy Wilson's 5th grade science students gave demonstrations on physical science which led to some fun hands-on

Ainsley Denham and Kendall Griffin constructed a marshmallow catapult. Denham and Griffin gave the board a speech about the different forms of energy including potential and kinetic. The marshmallow catapult was eventually aimed at Jeff Denham, the father of the fifth grade student.
