Commencement Participation Policy As of May 2022

Undergraduate & Graduate students with 3-6sh outstanding, who file for August graduation (and plan to register for the 3-6sh in the summer) can automatically be approved to “walk” in May commencement, or they can choose to walk the following December. Undergraduate & Graduate students with 9-15sh outstanding, who file for August graduation (and plan to register for the 9-15sh in the summer) can only walk in the following December commencement ceremony. Individuals experiencing extenuating circumstances should contact Suzanne Pike, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs, for consideration to walk in the preceding May. Suzanne.L.Pike@hofstra.edu Undergraduate & Graduate students with 3-6sh outstanding, who file for January graduation (and plan to register for the 3-6sh in January session) can automatically be approved to “walk” in December commencement, or they can choose to walk the following May.

Any December graduates, who want to walk in a May ceremony must be reviewed by Suzanne Pike, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs at Suzanne.L.Pike@hofstra.edu . Only extenuating circumstances will be considered.
