Senior Center
The Hobbs Senior Center is a recreational facility that offers a great variety of programs and services for people 60 years of age and older. The Center was founded with the primary objective of assisting the City’s elderly citizens in adjusting to personal and social changes brought about by aging.
The Hobbs Senior Center began a slow, safe, gradual reopening on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
Initial hours of operation for the Senior Center are: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday:
9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Grab-N-Go Meals Monday - Friday: 12:00pm - 12:30pm (in the North Parking Lot) Please Note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the New Mexico Aging & Longterm Services Department (NMALTSD) issued protocols and guidelines for the operation of Senior Centers in New Mexico. The Hobbs Senior Center will be participating in COVID safe practices for staff and clients. Nutrition programs are still being provided to eligible senior citizens. Please call our office for more information. The following ACTIVITES were tentatively scheduled at the time that THE Guide went to publication. These activities are subject to change as required by Public Health Orders or other factors. Seniors participating in these activities will need to park in the east parking lot and use the east entrance to the Senior Center to assist with screening and contact tracing protocols as mandated by the State. 22
